DIN 1683 - 1 Rough Steel Casting Tolerance Standard

DIN 1683-1 is a general tolerance standard for rough steel castings. Our Dandong Foundry found this standard is useful to the buyers and suppliers.
It gives a general tolerance range for the rough castings, so both buyers and suppliers could have an agreement to the tolerance. This also gives a standard for
the inspection. However, this standard is just a general tolerance, so it can not represent the special requirements to some dimensions. The designers and
buyers should denote the special tolerance requirements on the drawings, so the suppliers could attach their attentions to those dimensions.
Likewise, if suppliers are difficult to meet some general tolerance to some dimensions, the buyers should communicate with the final clients to confirm if these
positions could have a wider tolerance. Too strict or unreasonable tolerance requirements will increase the difficulty to production, and increase the defective
rates, and this will harm the benefits of both suppliers and buyers.
