THE BENSLOW FILM AND SHOW MUSIC
ORCHESTRA
Thursday 13 - Sunday 16 November 2014
Tutor: Paul Eshelby, Sian Herlihy
The charismatic Paul Eshelby and leader Sian Herlihy spearhead another course devoted
to the film and show music of the mid-twentieth century. Ideally were looking to recreate
the right big, lush sound that accompanied those magic moments on silver screen and
Broadway stage, so we would like to recruit as large a string section as we can fit in along
with trumpets and trombones, alto, tenor and baritone saxes, flute, guitar, bass guitar, piano
and percussion. Please note that string parts dont always carry the big tunes!
