Hello MDS Parents and Dancers!
Hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the beautiful
weather before the Fall chill set in! As the weather
gets colder, it is a perfect time to mark all of your
dancers clothing and shoes! This makes it much
easier to avoid lost or missing items. We have had a
couple ballet shoes left after class, please contact the
studio if yours are missing!

classes this week! Please make
adjustments to the costumes as
needed so they are comfortable and

Now that everyone has gotten into the groove of their
classes, we will begin keeping track of dancers with the
following: Perfect Attendance, Flawless Hair and
Proper Dance Shoes and Attire. This is to inspire the
students to gain responsibility and maturity. Miss Cindy
will track the dancers each week and the winners will
be announced at this years recital!

Waiting Room Etiquette
At the studio we understand there are some dancers that
have a break in between their classes. If your dancer is
staying at the studio during this time, they need to have
respect for the waiting room and the other students in
class. We are not responsible for dancers outside of the
studio. There have been issues with dancers running,
tumbling, yelling, etc. while waiting. This will not be
tolerated and we will ask that your dancer to leave if
they cannot behave during the break. There are table
and chairs available so please encourage your dancer to
bring a quiet activity to do while waiting. We apologize to
be harsh on this matter but we just want all our dancers to
have a safe and enjoyable experience at the studio. If there
is tumbling without a mat, someone can get seriously
injured. It is also unfair to the rest of the class when
dancers are disruptive outside and inside the studio. The
viewing windows are a privilege for parents to observe their
dancer during class. If we continue to have problems with
dancers abusing that privilege we will have to cover them
to avoid future disturbances.
Pick Up/Drop Off Procedures
We have had some issues with dancers
being dropped off excessively early for
classes and picked up excessively late from
classes. As a reminder the MDS policy
states:
There will not be someone in the studio to
watch your children, so please do not drop
them off early or leave them unattended
after class. An early drop off / late pickup
fee will be assessed if there are multiple
occurrences or issues.
