INTRODUCTION

Setups are to entrap, setup are to put one in condition of surrender. Setups are to make a person
or a thing to go or to function towards one direction and one direction only. (A clock).

When a person is setup but is not aware of who is setting him up, and why he is been setup to go
through what he or she is going through, that person could delay or alter the purpose and the plan
for that arrangement. Countless people have been setup in the Bible to become great, to become
the voice of God, to even become the betrayer of the son of God- Joseph, Daniel, Jesus and Judas
just to count a few. Some have also set themselves up for deliverance (e.g.) the woman with the
issue of blood and the blind Bartimaeus and so many others.

In event of life, we are set up to go through certain things in life, which will trigger changes in
the course of our journey in life towards our destiny.

It looks bad does not mean it‘s bad.

It‘s bad, does not mean its over.

Don‘t jump out stay focused, it‘s a setup.

Setups are based on dreams and vision of destiny. Where we are going from where we are. How
to get to our destination, that, most of the times are not on a straight path.

Setup helps us to link different points of the invisible map, drawn by the Creator Himself, to the
fulfillment of His will on this earth.

NOTHING IS LOST BUT ALL IS TRANSFORMED

Adam to Jesus.
Don‘t lose hope, keep on moving

Beginning and achievement has the same point.

Something or Somewhere.
Progress has a path or a line.
Something to somewhere.

Your beginning is a point that was in your mind from someone else‘s achievement, the point at
which something begins.
God has laid the foundation.
I.e., some other person has made the tools you
will use. Somebody made a motorcar after the discovery of iron and rubber.
God created the raw materials.
You will start from a point and end at a point.
Your failure is a point and your success is a point for some other person to begin.
You progress only if you make a path or draw a line on which to walk.
Hold on to your dream. The line is an accumulation of points (……………….).
You may fall, but don‘t be a failure, get up and start moving, try again.
See every fall as an achievement with a new beginning.
In nothing there is something, if only you can look with the eyes of an achiever.
The world itself was void at creation.

DON’T GIVE UP; GOD IS TAKING YOU SOMEWHERE… AMEN.

For achievement you must of necessity see your goal, the end of the line, the wife/husband,
children, and your business. Until you see, you cannot possess.
Jeremiah 1:10-12 “See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root
out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant. Moreover the
word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an
almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten [watch over] my
word to perform it.”
What you see, you will get with faith.

Genesis 13:14-15 “… Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward,
and southward, and eastward, westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it,
and to thy seed forever.”
Moses seeing in the future chose to reject the adoption and wealth of Pharaoh‘s daughter.
Seeing into the invisible set you apart for the impossible.
Hebrews 11:24-27. “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of
Pharaoh’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy
the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the
treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward. By faith he forsook
Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.”

After seeing, you must launch out into the Unbelievable, into the deep by faith according to
the word of God.
Luke 5:4. “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep’ and
let down your nets for a draught.”
Deep calleth unto deep Psalm 42:7.
We spend time looking on the surface, looking for what is floating, what is acceptable to the
society, and we end up toiling all night getting nothing. What God has for you is in the depth of
His word.
Obedience commands result.
Luke 5:5 “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all night, and have taken
nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net”.
Until you have more than enough you will not have a partner. Luke 5:6-7.
As you have partners you will start catching men, because you need more hands Luke 5:10.

DIVINE SETUP

Human ambition, compete or to serve?

People are ambitious – they want to succeed. That is fine but so ambitious that they try to
compete with, rather than serve God.

This was Adam and Eve‘s sin (Genesis 3:5-6); and at Babel people were at it again, in a city-
wide effort.
Genesis 11:4 “And they said one to another, Go to let us build us a city and a tower, whose top
may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of
the whole earth.”
Their ambition to build a city and tower is not the problem; making name for themselves is not
the problem. The problem is that they have decided to do contrary to the will of God, which said,
“be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it…” Genesis 1:28

God said multiply and replenish the earth. Why create a whole universe just for a tower. How do
you replenish the earth, if you chose not to scatter abroad, how do you subdue the earth, if you
only chose to build a city and a tower in a corner of it. Whenever we are doing something
contrary to the will of God, it‘s just as saying that we know better than our Creator, and want to
assume His position, so we compete for supremacy.
If your ambition is to compete, then you are heading for disaster, because the devil will use your
misplaced ambitions to frustrate all your plans.
Genesis 11:6 ―And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and
this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained to do.” In verse 8 “So the Lord
scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth. And they left off to build the
city.”
If your ambition is to serve, you must first obey God.
Genesis 12:1-3 “Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy
kindred, and from thy father’s house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” “And I will make of thee
a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shall be a blessing: And
I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of
the earth be blessed.”
You are expected to obey, discover His purpose for you, believe in it, and to call it to being and

Genesis 13:2 “And Abram was very rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold.”

Frank Chidi Page 8

Divine Setup

As children of God, under His love, we are partakers of the same covenant and assurance as
Abraham.

Genesis 15: l-6 In the first verse God said;

Do not be afraid, because the devil will come, to tell you that what ever God said will not work.
I am your Shield From the devil, for he will attack, harass, assault you, scare you, and confuse
you, to stop you, to make you faithless, to abort and kill your vision.

I am your exceeding great reward. For as you believe and stand, holding on to the word of God,
all that He has promised you will be fulfilled.
As Abram we ask God, how can this be?
You have given me no child, you may have another need, a wife or husband, money, your
studies or anything, no matter how trivial, and you are saying if God is all He says He is, why the
delay?

You say why me? And God says why not!

I called you out; to bless you. I told you not to be afraid.
I am that I am the creator of the universe, I God set the time for day and night, the controller of
season.
We have all these good promises and God is God and his word will never change. Stop the fear.

So then, what are we doing wrong?

The problem is in the question ―Doing.‖ We do so much to help God to bring about His will, that
we forget that no man can share His glory. One thing we need to understand is; if what we expect
from God is not bigger than us, does not beat our imaginations then we don‘t need God for it.
What is wrong, is doing what we think, will bring about the fulfillment, of the word of God in
our lives. If I believe in God‘s promises for my life I follow Him.
Genesis 15:6 Abraham had his child of promise, and prospered not because he led a perfect life
but of his responsiveness to God‘s promises in faith. This verse is quoted three times in the New
Testament to demonstrate that salvation by faith is nothing new. Romans 4:l-3, Galatians 3:6,
James 2:23.

This is to say, when it seems like that which God has promised you is not coming through, all
you need to remember is that if there is life there is hope. Have hope in the giver of life. He will
never be late.

Your faith will be tested to the point, you will ask, why me?
Gen 22:2. “And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee
into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains
which I will tell thee of.”

You ask did God wake you up today, so that you could be sacked from your job. Did God give
you the ability to study, to pass your exams, to have your degrees and certificates so that you can
be jobless? Has God shown, and given you a vision, so, that family and friends can reject you?
You have come of age and it seems like your life partner is not in sight.

At every point in time, God is setting you up for promotion, for greatness, if only you can keep
on with your calling, and the vision.
Exodus l3:17 “When Pharaoh let the people go God did not lead them on the road through the
philistine country though that was shorter.”
Exodus 14:1-3 we see God putting finishing touches to His great mysteries.
“And the Lord spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel that they turn and
encamp before Pihahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, over against Baalzephon: before it shall
ye encamp by the sea. For Pharaoh will say of the children of Israel, they are entangled in the
land; the wilderness hath shut them in.”
The children of Israel from Egypt were faced with the unknown (the sea), backed by the known
Pharaoh and his army, surrounded by limitations, the mountains, and Moses said that they should
not be afraid, this is a set up. The enemy you see today you will never see again.
Exodus 14:13“And Moses said unto the people, fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of
the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall
see them again no more for ever.”

All we need is to obey God and He will see us through it.

Exodus 14:14 for “The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
Whatever situation you are into, God will make a way for you, that thing that looks like a barrier
in your way to victory, achievement and fulfillment, God will fight for you in Jesus name.
Check any achiever who at one point in his life did not look up to God and ask, why?
Joseph the dreamer was set up to become prime minister and savior of is people. What would he,
could have been doing in the pit, as a slave, a houseboy, and a prisoner? I will say Joseph was
born a reporter.
Genesis 37:2 “… Joseph brought unto his father their evil report.”
In verse 4 he received a coat of many colours and was hated. Verse 5 he had his first dream and
was hated yet the more. Verse 6, being a reporter he couldn‘t keep his mouth shut so he begged
his brothers to hear the second dream and the final insult on their personality, and they hated him
the more for his dreams and for his words. Probably he was arrogant about it.
Genesis 39:1-6 Joseph advanced in Potiphar‘s house, (he was above). Genesis 39:7 (As I said
you will be tested.) He resisted his mistress‘s temptation to go and lie with her (He was above).
Verse 13 Joseph was falsely accused, verse 20 and Joseph was put in prison. (He was above).

Frank Chidi Page 10

Divine Setup

Genesis 39:21-23“But the Lord was with Joseph, and shewed him mercy, and gave him favour
in the sight of the keeper of the prison; And the keeper of the prison committed to Joseph’s hand
all the prisoners that were in the prison; and whatsoever they did there, he was the doer of it.
The keeper of the prison looked not to anything that was under his hand; because the Lord was
with him, and that which he did, the Lord made it to prosper.”
As far as your dream is concerned all worketh for good for those that love God.
Genesis 45:5 “Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither:
for God did send me before you to preserve life.”
Joseph was a prophetic dreamer and the same was of the dream he interpreted. In prison he
interpreted two dreams that proved to be correct, and two year later Pharaoh was greatly
disturbed by a dream and Joseph was sent for. Divinely guided he stated the years of plenty and
that of the years of famine and added such wise counsel that he was placed in an exalted position
in the empire next to Pharaoh. (He was above).
Let me break down Joseph‘s divine setup.
His mother delivered him and Benjamin late. If that did not happen, he would not have been the
pet child of Jacob. And if he was not the loving child, he would not have had the coat of many
colours. If he did not have the coat of many colours, the brothers would not have envied him and
he would not have been sold to Egypt. If he was not sold to Egypt, he would not have been in
Potiphar‘s house, and so would not have been tempted by the wife. And if Potiphar‘s wife did
not tempt him, he would not have been locked up in prison. And if he was not locked up in
prison, he would not have been privileged to interpret the dream of the chief Butler of Pharaoh.
If he did not interpret the chief Butler‘s dream, nobody would have introduced him to Pharaoh to
interpret Pharaoh‘s dream and if he did not interpret Pharaoh‘s dream, he would not have been
the Prime Minister of Egypt to fulfill the purpose of God prophecy in a setup.
David the shepherd boy was set up to become a king. Why did he live as a fugitive? As he was
running, to the unbeliever his dream is over, his purpose in life could not be achieved again. Do
you know that God was just giving David a tour of his kingdom? While he was running he
obtained hallowed bread and Goliath‘s sword from Ahimelech. 1 Sam 21:1-8. What does a
Shepherd boy know about kingship?
Pursued from point to point by persecution, inspired by jealousy and hatred would have hardened
the heart and embittered the spirit of many men that would have driven them to the worst
extremities. It is in these circumstances that we see the real David from the proper angle.
In the school of adversity David came to know and handle men. It was an invaluable experience
that was destined to be of the greatest service to him as king of Israel. During these years he
became a warrior and had the opportunity of subduing the enemies of his nation. In this regard he
was prepared for his future work of crushing his enemies and placing his kingdom in a state of
safety and political security.
David the fugitive, the outlaw to David the king, for his success in the latter position was
determined by the training that came to him in the past. Necessities were laid upon him that
made him resourceful, that sharpened his intellect and developed the finest type of power of
endurance.

Frank Chidi Page 11

If only Satan knew that Jesus was set up, he would have stationed guards to protect Him from
being harmed.

Jesus the carpenter was set up to become the uncontestable, undisputable King of kings. Lord
of lords.
Could you imagine that crucifying Jesus, His death, and burial, will bring resurrection, and total
salvation to man-kind?
How tough, hard is everything around you? Your family, business, education, marriage, and your
health that you are asking why?

The Bible says that your enemies are raised for that purpose, that God might show His power.
In everything godly you put your hand to do you will surely succeed. Whatever you have started
that looks like there is a roadblock will be opened in Jesus name.
Stop the fear because God did not give you the spirit of fear, but of boldness and sound mind.
Fear not, He is your shield, He is the remuneration; He said I am your exceeding great reward.
If it wasn‘t for the Lord by your side you would have drowned, and would have been consumed.
For my Bible tells me that I shall not die, but leave to declare the goodness of God.
It states clearly in
Numbers 23:19 “God is not a man that He should lie, neither the son of man that He should
repent; hath He said, and shall He not do it? Or hath He spoken and shall He not make it
good?‖
Isaiah 55:10-11 “His word will not return to Him empty, or fruitless”.
God himself stands behind every promise that He has made. Jeremiah 1:12

Is not over until you get to your destination, don’t give up. Jesus is Lord.

3
THE ANOINTED TALENT

How good and diligent you have been in the position you occupy will determine how far you see
yourself.

Wherever we find ourselves that by our natural reasoning we wish not to be cannot change the
fact that there is something in us that will take us to our destiny, to our goal.

In our present position there is something that can only be done or be done better by us, but: if
we think because our ambition is so big that to us, it looks like there is nothing that can help us
or that, where we are going has nothing in common with our present position in the society, in
our generation then I will say you are wrong.

The woman had nothing according to her, until she met the prophet.

2 Kings 4:2-3 “… Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil. Then he
said, go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbours, even empty vessels; borrow not a
few.”

In every house, in every person there is a pot of oil; all we need is empty vessels. Let‘s put it this
way; she has one pot of oil sold to a neighbour (one empty vessel), with the profit she bought
more than a pot, which she sold to two neighbours (two empty vessels), and borrow not a few.
Don‘t stop because you have enough money to pay your debt, but continue until there is no
empty vessel.

Her problem is now, but the solution is forever in Christ. She had what will take her out of debt,
but never knew until she was shown the way to become a distributor of oil. She has the talent to
make wealth for her self, but could not activate the talent because she did not know she has the
ability to.

First; you did not choose your family, secondly you did not choose your purpose of being, thirdly
the pot does not dictate to the potter how it should be made, where it should begin, or how it
should be used.

God could have started creation by first creating man; I wonder where he (the man) would
have been placed, but God started by creating a formless and void earth covered by darkness.

Frank Chidi Page 13

Divine Setup

Genesis 1:1-2 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was
without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep, and the spirit of God moved
[was brooding] upon the face of the waters.”

Having said that we now could agree that all-purpose and functions are according to the will of
the Potter. So He designed the pot with some ability to perform in a particular environment its
talent.

You need to know the Potter, His nature and most importantly His will for you.

Genesis 1:1 He his God the creator of heaven and earth, verse 3 of the light, 6 of the firmament,
9 of the earth separated from the waters, 11 and made the earth fruitful, 14 of the sun, moon, and
stars, 20 of the fish and fowl, 24 of beasts and cattle, 26 of man in the image of God. 28 And God
blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and
subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over
every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

To be fruitful you need to have seeds, to multiply you need abilities, to replenish and subdue the
earth you need talent, and to have dominion you need to be capable. Your perception or
understanding of God the giver of the talent gives you the ability to trade freely with faith your
talent.

When you hide your talent it cannot multiply and it cannot demonstrate your capability. For we
receive according to our abilities.

That which you are asked or which you have dreamt or conceived is according to your talent and
your ability.

Your ability will initialize your capability to start, and your faith will multiply your talent.

It takes courage to develop your ability, it‘s easier to laze around in the warm atmosphere of the
comfort zone and risk nothing.

If talent is not put to use, it will die. So many of us are waiting for manna to fall, so we believe
our vision and have faith in God but refuse to use our talent to move out of Egypt. By the way
manna falls only if you are following God‘s instructions and walking on the path set out for your
break through.

Achievement is not just dreaming about what you could do, but do what you dream about with
faith. The bible says to us in

James 2:20, 24, 26“But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works, is dead? Ye see
then how that by works a man is justified and not by faith only. For as the body without the spirit
is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

Frank Chidi Page 14

Divine Setup

Your capability is made known in your ability to expose your talent.

Your test begins after your capability is establish and testimony is assured when you mix it with
faith.

A lot of us know some things around us that need changing or need putting in place but don‘t do
them because we think we can‘t or that it‘s somebody else job to fix it.

We need to understand that everything we have is a gift and every gift is a talent given for a
specific purpose. Be it the smallest of what ever you could imagine that you have, is a gift. For
you to know or understand that there is a need is a talent, now put your ability in action.

We are all born with a talent, with a special gift that is unique to us.

NOTE: talent is the only gift that can be taken away from you if it is not put to use.

Math 25:28-30“Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him that which hath ten
talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him
that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath. And cast ye the unprofitable servant
into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth”.

Talent is actually a seed: but the only seed that cannot be put in the ground or planted. Talent is
a seed of equations that can only be solved in an investment of time.

You invest your talent in a service in a time frame and trade it in for a higher specific return, a
higher talent that will challenge you to a higher goal.

You must of a necessity understand and trust the source of your talent, God. And you need the
right attitude that will set you for a higher altitude.

The right attitude gives you confident, gives you room for discovery, room for continuity and
stability for establishment of role and gives room for perfection to fulfillment.

May God create in us a clean heart, and renew a right spirit in us in Jesus name.

I said earlier you are rewarded for a faithful service not for a faithful vision.

Matthew 25:21“His Lord said unto him, well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast
been faithful over a few things, I will make the ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of
thy lord”.

1Samuel David whose ability was not counted for, in his family was the youngest of eight
brothers. There was nothing in David‘s background that suggested he will ever be anointed, be
chosen to play the harp for Saul, be in the front line when Goliath challenged Israel, (think about
this for a minute; how many men are in the Israelis army, 5000, 20000? that had their brothers

Frank Chidi Page 15

Divine Setup

bring food to them? Is this to say that the government could not take care of his men?) And
nothing to suggest by the seeing of man that he will ever become a king.

Maybe your family is the last and the least, and you are the last to understand things in class or
around you, you are the last to leave the church because you have to clean up, and when you do
it, is never mentioned, in your office you are called hoodwink because you put your best, I say
do not be discouraged because your talent will soon be anointed. You will soon be promoted.

I mean your promotion is on the way in Jesus name.

David‘s brothers were all at home probably waiting for war, dreaming about the day something
will come their way, the underprivileged boy was out there killing lions and bears with his bare
hands, until the day he was anointed.

1 Samuel 16:11“And Samuel said unto Jesse, are here all thy children? And he said, there
remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, send
and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither”.

Notice David was called from the field. You can only be promoted on the job for your capability
not for your expectations or potentials. We all know David‘s story before the anointing and after.

You might be right now at the back and it seems that all you are doing is not noticed, I say, do it
unto the Lord, because pretty soon your talent will be exposed.

David is now face to face with that which God has designed to expose his abilities.

1 Samuel 17:42 “And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for
he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance”.

Please let me say this, if he has never used his talent he will not have the courage to do what he
has never done before, in the face of war with Goliath and the Philistines in front of a whole
nation. (I Samuel 17:34-37), and in the same chapter, v39, David said, he could not use what he
has not proved. Practice they say makes perfect.

1 Samuel 17:39“And David girded his sword upon his Armour, and he assayed to go; for he had
not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And
David put them off him.”

You could have been chosen from your mother‘s womb without the practice of your talent, your
ability will be dormant.

God’s approval or anointing comes when you have developed or multiplied your talent.

Exodus 4:1, 2 “Moses answered and said, but behold, they will not believe me, nor hearken unto
my voice: for they will say, the Lord hath not appeared unto thee.” Notice God‘s answer in v2,
what is that in thine hand? And he said a rod.

Frank Chidi Page 16

Divine Setup

God did not give him a new talent but anointed or empowered his ability.

From the backside of the desert where he was leading the flock, we could see that his talent as a
leader was established.

Exodus 3:1 “Now Moses kept the flock of Jethro his father in law, the priest of Midian: led the
flock to the backside of the desert [wilderness], and came to the mountain of God, even to
Horeb.”

He did not receive his anointing dreaming but received it on the field.

Like Moses we say to ourselves that we cannot speak we cannot do this or that

Exodus 4:10-12“And Moses said unto the Lord, O my Lord, I am not eloquent [a man of
words], neither heretofore, nor since thou hast spoken unto thy servant: but I am slow of speech,
and of a slow tongue. And the Lord said unto him, who hath made man’s mouth? Or who maketh
the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? Have not I the Lord? God said “now therefore go,
and I will be with thy mouth, and teach thee what thou shall say”.

The anointing is to empower you in areas that you are weak and expose you to greater
challenges.

Like Joseph our gift can put us in trouble. The troubles that come when you are practicing your
talent are your teachers and the set up point in your journey. They only position you for your
promotion. Soon that which was rejected will become the cornerstone

If you like throw me in the pit I will not give up.

Send me to Egypt as a slave I will not give up.

Make me your houseboy I will not give up.

Put me in prison I will not give up dreaming.

My talent is all that I need.

When you are in a pit it seems as if there is no escape or way out. The prospects of success seem
very slim. However, your God-given gift or talent can cause you to prosper in the toughest
situations. It can bring you out of adversity into glory. Your gift can make a way for you where
there seems to be no way. It can give you breakthrough in conditions that would make others
break down.

Proverbs 18:16 says “A man’s gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.”

Your gift can help you overcome every obstacle that stands in the way of your progress, thereby
helping you to prosper and succeed in life.

Joseph: From the Prison to the Palace.

Joseph came to the land of Egypt when his half-brothers sold him into slavery. After being
wrongfully accused of attempted rape by his master; Potiphar‘s wife, he was cast into prison. It
would seem that he had reached a dead end. It looked as if there was no way out of the pit into
which he had been cast. However, no matter how deep a pit is, the favor of God is able to reach
you there and deliver you. In prison, Joseph‘s ability to interpret dreams was one of the ways
God‘s favor was released upon him. Eventually, not only was he delivered from prison, but also
he rose to become the Prime Minister of the land.

It all began when Pharaoh, the great ruler of Egypt, had two disturbing dreams, which his
magicians and wise men could not interpret. Pharaoh‘s butler, who himself had been blessed by
Joseph‘s gift while he was in prison two years prior to the dream, then remembered how Joseph
had accurately interpreted the dream he had. Subsequently, he recommended Joseph to Pharaoh.

All palace protocol was disregarded when a common slave in Pharaoh‘s dungeon was summoned
to interpret the king‘s dream. It was Joseph‘s gift that brought him honor. His gift was the
instrument that God used to bring Joseph before Pharaoh‘s court. Eventually, Joseph was able to
interpret his dream and Pharaoh, impressed by Joseph‘s wisdom, rewarded him with a prime
ministerial position in the land.

Gen. 41:38-43 “And Pharaoh said unto his servants. Can we find such a one as this is, a man in
whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath showed thee
all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art: Thou shall be over my house, and
according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than
thou. And pharaoh said unto Joseph, See, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt, And pharaoh
took off his ring from his hand, and put it upon Joseph’s hand, and arrayed him in vestures of
fine linen, and put a gold chain about his neck; And he made him to ride in the second chariot,
which he had; and they cried before him, bow the knee: and he made him ruler over all the land
of Egypt.”

Talk about a man‘s gift making room for him! Even Pharaoh, with all his training in the wisdom
of the ancients, mathematics and palace arts, immediately conceded that one greater than he had
come. In one instant every obstacle before Joseph came crumbling down simply because he was
diligent with his gift of interpretation of dreams. In the morning, he had woken up as prisoner
and by sunset he had become the second greatest man in the land! That is the power of God‘s
favor in his gift!

Daniel: A Captive Worshiped by the King!

Daniel was another man whose gift brought him swift and unusual promotion. This also came
about by his God-given ability to interpret dreams. Like Pharaoh—Nebuchadnezzar, the king of
Babylon had a disturbing dream which none of his magicians, astrologers and sorcerers could not

Frank Chidi Page 18

recall or interpret. The inability of the wise men to reveal and interpret his dream angered the
king so much that he threatened to have them all killed.

Daniel served in the king‘s court at this time and hearing about the king‘s decree against the wise
men, went boldly before the king and convinced him to give him time to seek the Lord for the
revelation and interpretation of the dream. Eventually Daniel interpreted the dream and King
Nebuchadnezzar was so impressed that he actually fell down and worshiped him! The power of
God‘s favor working through Daniel‘s gift caused a king to bow before his captive! Moreover,
Daniel was promoted to a position where he was second-in-command only to the king.

Daniel 2:46-49 ―Then the king Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face, and worshiped Daniel, and
commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odours unto him. The king answered
unto Daniel, and said, Of a truth it is that your God is a God of gods, and a Lord of kings, and a
revealer of secrets, seeing thou couldest reveal this secret. Then the king made Daniel a great
man, and gave him many great gifts, and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon
and chief of the governors over all the wise men of Babylon. Then Daniel, requested of the king,
and he set Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, over the affairs of the province of Babylon: but
Daniel sat in the gate of the king.‖

The favor of God is so powerful that it made a king bow down to his slave in worship! This is
what Nebuchadnezzar did. He also made Daniel a great ruler over the entire land. Another
interesting thing to note is that his talent also won favor for his friends. Talent can cause those
around you to enjoy the blessings of God too.

Are you facing a tough situation in your life? Does it seem as if you have hit rock bottom and
there is no hope? Do not allow your challenges to intimidate you. Among other things, God has
destined to bring you into prominence by His gift inside you. He has given you a special gift or
talent that has the capacity to distinguish you in life. However, it is your responsibility to
discover that gift and develop it. As you are faithful in doing this, He will cause your gift to
remove every obstacle; it will make room for you before great men.

You have a special gift inside you. Discover it and you will begin to prosper. Some may say, ―I
do not have a gift!‖ However, God has given specific gifts to everyone. The Bible says in

Ephesians 4:8-9“But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of
Christ. Wherefore He saith, when he ascended up on high, He led captivity captive, and He gave
gifts unto men.”

He has blessed you with a special talent so that you might be a blessing to others. It is through
the exercising of this gift that God will release His favor upon you. Unless you make use of your
gift, it will not bring you honor and glory. Unless you are diligent with your gift, you will not
enjoy His favor.

As a teenager Jesus was already demonstrating his gift, his talent in the knowledge of the
scripture until the day he was baptized He was just using His ability to demonstrate his
capability.

Luke 2:46-47 “And it came to pass, that after three days they found him [the 12 years old Jesus]
in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.
And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.”

Anointing announce your capability.

Matthew 3:16 “And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of [from] the water:
and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove,
and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from [out of the] heaven [heavens], saying, This is my
beloved Son, in whom i am well pleased.

In Acts 10:38 “... Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing
good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was wit him.”

On that faithful day at Jericho Jesus was passing and the blind Bartimaeus put his talent,
which he has multiplied in use.

Mark 10:46 “And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a
great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.”

The blind Bartimaeus has one talent that he had perfected which is to shout and has one day to
demonstrate his capability for his healing.

Do you know how many have told him in the past to be quiet; do you know how many times he
had been ignored in the past? On that faithful day at Jericho Many did the usual until he
demonstrated the unusual.

Until you show your capability you will not command the respect and will not get the attention
of many.

Verse 49. “And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man,
saying unto him, be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.”

I can bet you that many too were screaming, but the blind Bartimaeus was loudest. We can
imagine the strength of the multitude.

Mark 6:44 “And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men”.

That is just men; women and children were not counted. Imagine the Independence Day parade,
five thousand curious minds with a blind man seated by the highway side begging. Stamping of
their foot is enough to cover his voice. Many tried in vain to keep him quiet but could not
because he had perfected his talent.

Practice they say makes perfect.

Mark 10:47-49“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say,
Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. And many charged him that he should hold his
peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.”

Mark 10:52 “And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And
immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.‖

When you are asked to pray it is not the time to dream, to look at who is by your side, but the
time to be loudest in spirit. When you are loud in spirit the devil can‘t put fear or any negative
thought in you.

Develop the talent to prayer and pray your talent to fruition.

What is that vision, how big is the vision, how far is your destination, start moving. Put your
talent to work as you pray.

Talent is God-given ability to produce wealth.

Deuteronomy 8:18“But thou shall remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee
power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is
this day.”

I said take my car, if my talent is anointed, I will get a Jet.

Take my house: with my anointed talent I will get a castle.

Maybe jobless today, with my anointed talent, I will manage my own company.

You maybe coming from the backside of the city, with your anointed talent, you will be made to
be ahead.

You maybe lonely right now, with your anointed talent you will be the center of attraction.

You maybe living in a face me and face you house, with your anointed talent; you will have your
own house.

You maybe broke busted, and your bank account is nothing to talk about. With your anointed
talent the sky is the limit.

Your talent will multiply.

Your ability will be strengthened.

Your capability will be anointed in Jesus name.

THE KEY TO GOD’S HEART

Most Christians have believed for years that when God does good for us, or blesses us, or
makes us prosper, He should get praise. That‘s what Thanksgiving Day is supposed to be about,
isn‘t it? God has been doing good things for you all year, so you thank Him for it. You are letting
Him know you approve of what He has done. Just let Him give you a raise, or heal your sick
child, and God will get praise.
Sometimes it isn‘t easy to give approval to the things that come into your life. Like the times you
pray and don‘t get the answer you want. Or when the bills come in the mail and your husband
walks in the door announcing he is been laid off his job. When you have longed for your son to
leave his worldly life and come to Christ, but instead of taking up Bible study, he takes up
drinking.

You have done everything possible, gone to school, to the high institutions, you are in the market,
you have the goods, and you have arrived, just to find your self-stuck, and you prayed, prayed
and prayed but it seems that God is not listening, it seems that God does not love you.

You on the other hand don’t know what to do, how to start, where to go. Your family doesn’t
have enough for them self, so they can’t give you what they don’t have. And you prayed, prayed
and prayed but it seems that God is not listening; it seems that God does not love you.

You probably have a rich family that is given you large amount of money: but your turnover is
nothing to write home about. In addition, you prayed, prayed and prayed but it seems that God is
not listening; it seems that God does not love you.

You are a successful young man but cannot find that woman to call your wife. You are a
successful young woman but cannot find that man to call your husband, and you prayed, but it
seems that God is not listening; it seems that God does not love you.

You are married and since then things are not working and you have tried everything known to
you, and you prayed, prayed and prayed but it seems that God is not listening, it seems that God
does not love you.

God is not moved by you cry or by your lamentations because he has set a time and a season for
everything under the sun. His word is yes and amen, His promises will be fulfilled in your life.

If you sin the punishment is death, we often think that because we are not physically dead, it
means that all should be well, no; my brothers and sisters, your business, your progress, maybe
the future generations like you, and so many other things are lifeless.

You prayed and ask for forgiveness and God has forgiven you all, you and your ancestors, but
things just refused to change and you prayed, fasted, went for counseling, for deliverance, and
prayed but it seems that God is not listening, it seems that God does not love you.

These situations can cause anxiety and unrest. Or they can mean peace and joy, if you are
trusting God to work in them.

And you are asking what next to do There is only one thing that ever moved God, one that ever
touched Him, and one that gets His direct attention is worship and praise. The faith you need to
experience God‘s peace in the midst of turmoil comes from praising God for the bad situations.

Psalms 22:3 “but thou art holy, O thou that inhabits the praises of Israel.”

God inhabits the praises of His people, prayers and sacrifices goes to God and will not change
the time and the season but praise brings God down.

Are you hot for God? Praise is a test of your humility.

Proverbs 27:21 “As the refining pot for silver and the furnace for gold; so is a man to his
praise.”

When you praise God you become a container, because, praise comes from the humility of the
heart

We praise our earthly kings.

We praise men to receive from them. Look around you how we praise people in authority. We
praise men that have their lives in the hands of God. So let‘s imagine for one minute praising the
King of kings, the Lord of lords, the Creator of universe, let‘s imagine praising the giver of the
life. God inhabits the praises of His people.

The key is praise. Practical demonstration when you praise God, no prison gate or demons can
hold you down when, you praise the Lord in truth.

Acts 16:25-26“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the
prisoner heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the
prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s hands were
loosed.”

What is you problem? Are you sick? Praise Him. Are you poor? Praise Him. Are you lonely?
Praise Him. In your confusion, praise Him. It seems that tomorrow will never come, praise Him.

Frank Chidi Page 24

The bible tells me to praise my Lord God, in hot or cold, even when my bank account tells me
that there is nothing, and that I am down broke and busted, praise Him.

Praise God and you will experience a visible sign of his favour.

2 Chronicles 5:13-14. “It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make
one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice
with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is
good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house
of the Lord; So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of
the Lord had filled the house of God.”

“Praise,” one dictionary defines, is giving approval to what is happening to us, good or bad, as it
may seem..

If that‘s true, then things don‘t have to be for good for you to praise God for them; you can even
praise Him for the things you see as being bad that came into your life.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 “In everything give thanks,” Paul command; “for this is God’s will for
you in Christ Jesus”.

He also teaches that one result of being filled with the Spirit is ―always giving thanks for all
things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to God, even the Father‖. (Ephesians 5:20).

David confirmed, I will praise the Lord no matter what happens. (Psalm 34:1)

What You Need to Believe about God.

Anyone who had even a high mark in Psychology in college might find himself getting a little
nervous about this ―being glad about the bad‖ attitude toward life. It might sound at first like a
cop-out on reality.

That person can relax. God is not out to make you take a leap of faith off the Bridge of Reason in
the matter of praising Him for everything.

God is sovereign. How much control do you believe God has? Do you believe He has power
over all the earth? All of nature, all the governments and kingdoms? And that He can change and
arrange any person or any circumstance that He desires? Do you believe that nothing, nothing
touches your life except by His permission?

God is good. How good is your God? Do you have confidence that He doesn‘t play games with
you, or shove you around like some cog in His Big Machine? Do you believe everything He does
in the world, and in your world, is from His loving heart and for your total benefit?

God has all power. Do you believe He has more power than you do? So much power, in fact,
that even if you mess things up, He can still turn them around to be all for good? Do you believe

Frank Chidi Page 25

God is able to turn anything to good, even your failures, mistakes, and the lessons past sins have
taught?

Without this kind of understanding of God‘s character, you would be like the Christian man in
Lagos who had gotten deeply in debt and finally decided there was no way out but to declare
bankruptcy.

When a Christian brother challenged him to turn to God for help, he protested, No, I can‘t. I got
myself into this one. If I‘d followed what God had wanted, I wouldn‘t be in this mess today. So
it‘s up to me to get myself out of it.

It has been observed by many experienced Christian counselors, that many Christians live their
lives under the cloud of the ―if only‖ syndrome. If only I hadn‘t taken that trip, I wouldn‘t have
been in that wreck; If only I‘d gotten my husband to quit working so hard, he might not have had
that stroke..

The ―if only‖ syndrome comes from serving a God who is less than totally sovereign and totally
good. With the God of the Bible, you can respond to the ―if only‖ syndrome with, Thank you,
Lord, for the wreck, or my Husband‘s stroke, because you can and will work them for good for
me. Nothing can stop you..

Just because the end of praising God is going to be all for your good, don‘t assume you have to
understand all about how it‘s going to work out before you praise. Or that you have to know
exactly what God is trying to teach you, or why it‘s all happening like it is.

You don‘t need answers to these questions as a prerequisite to praise, because you praise God by
faith, faith that God will work it all out for good, so you don‘t have to try to understand every-
thing that happens along the way.

Praise, you see, is not a way to avoid facing the realities of life. It’s facing them head-on by
faith.

What Praising God Will Do in Your Life.

Praise releases God‘s power into your situation. Why doesn‘t God jump into every life
circumstance and go to work? It isn‘t because He doesn‘t want to, or because He‘s lacking in
ability or solutions. It could be that you‘ve built walls around your life situations to keep Him
from working. It may even be a wall of your will. You‘ve decided just how you want the
problem resolved, and if God interferes, He might just work it out another way. Or maybe the
wall is one of doubt, or fear.

How do you get those walls down to get God working in your life needs? How do you let go the
control so He has freedom to do what He wants?

Frank Chidi Page 26

Divine Setup

God inhabits, He lives in, the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3). So when you begin to praise
God for those problematic situations in your life, you are also bringing God into the middle of
that problem. You have acknowledged His sovereignty in allowing the circumstance, and
celebrated His goodness and power to bring it out for good in the end. And that faith releases
God‘s power to work in your problem.

God will work when His power is released into our life needs, and it‘s praise that releases that
power.

That‘s the way it happened to Jehoshaphat and the people of Israel when they were being
attacked by a hoard of enemies (2 Chronicles. 20). They asked God‘s help and He assured them
they will win the battle without even fighting; they just needed to take their position and watch
God win it for them.

Since they believed they weren‘t going to have to fight, Jehoshaphat told the choir to go ahead of
the army singing praises to God. Very rarely do you ever hear of an army going into battle with
the band in front. It‘d be like sending the church choir instead of the Marines to storm the
beaches. You couldn‘t be expecting much resistance if that is your strategy.

As they praised, the Lord set an ambush against the enemy and they were defeated without Israel
so much as lifting a sword.

Praise released God’s power into their problem.

Praise will always give you God’s peace. One of the most profound secrets in the Bible on how
to let God‘s peace keep your heart is tucked away in one of the most familiar passages you
know. It‘s like hiding the key to your house in the lock. You may even have memorized the
passage:

Philippians 4:6-7“Be anxious for nothing,” Paul said. Don’t be full of care about anything.
Don’t worry. Don’t be anxious. “But [here’s the alternative to worry] in everything by prayer
and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of
God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.”

We say, ―Why worry when you can pray.‖ But have you ever had a problem, prayed about it, and
couldn‘t quit worrying? God says that there‘s a step beyond just asking His help. That step is to
pray with thanksgiving. Ask His help, and thank Him that He is going to help. Thank Him for the
situation, for the opportunity it gives you to see Him work, for Him to show His power and
goodness. Thank Him for the way He is going to honor Himself and bless you through this
problem you have got. And the peace of God, Paul says, will keep your heart, your emotions, and
your mind. Praising God tells Him that you will let Him do what He wants in those
circumstances, and in His way and time. It shows joyful acceptance of your circumstances from
the hand of a good and sovereign God, who will work only good from them. That is liberating!

Frank Chidi Page 27

When Daniel was in Babylon, the jealous city officials now in hands of the Persians, tried to
wipe him out with a clever plan. They tricked the king into signing an edict that everyone had to
pray to him only, knowing fully well that Daniel prayed faithfully to God three times a day. They
saw to it that the penalty was stiff enough to take care of Daniel for good; the violator would be
thrown into a den of hungry lions.

The record states, Daniel 6:10. “When Daniel knew that the document was signed, he entered
his house (now in his roof chamber he had windows open toward Jerusalem); and he continued
kneeling on his knees three times a day, praying and giving thanks before his God, as he had
been doing previously”.

How thankful do you suppose Daniel felt as he praised God, knowing that he was headed for the
lions‘ den? The thanksgiving at that point probably came totally from his will, not from his
emotions. But it didn‘t matter. Even if he didn‘t gush with thankful feelings, God honored his act
of praise and saved him from the lions. He probably went into the lions‘ den with the peace that
passes all understanding keeping his heart.

Praise allows God to change your situation, or to change you. Even though I could tell you
dozens of stories of people praising God for problems and those problems being immediately
resolved, praise cannot be a position from which you bargain with God. You can‘t say, ―If praise
is what it takes to get me out of this rotten situation, I will do it.‖ That‘s because praise is not a
way to manipulate God, but a way of life. Praise isn‘t the source of your power God is.

In His walk with you, God always has two options. He can either raise the dead, or take away the
sting of death. Sometimes he heals the distorted body, and sometimes he multiplies His grace to
the afflicted one. He can part the waters before your feet, or go with you through them. Either
way when you praise Him, you free Him to work in accordance with His perfect purposes.

For the Apostle Paul, God did a different thing as a result of his faith. Paul had what he called a
―thorn in the flesh‖. We are not sure what it was, but three times he asked the Lord to remove it,
and God said no. His plan instead was to manifest a special degree of His grace and strength
through Paul. So Paul responded, ―Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my
weaknesses, that the power of Christ may dwell in me‖ (2 Corinthians 12:9). Paul‘s prayed to
God for his ‗thorn‘, but God instead of changing Paul‘s circumstances, changed Paul.

With Job God did both. When he received the news that all his oxen and asses had been stolen,
all his sheep had been burned up by a fire from heaven, all his camels had been taken by raiders,
and all his children had been killed in a tornado, he responded by falling down, worshiping God,
and blessing His name. As a result the Lord led him into a new depth of spiritual experience.
When that was done, God gave him back all he‘d lost, doubled.

When you praise God for problems, expect results. The results may be that God will change your
situation, or else He will change you.

Frank Chidi Page 28

It is hard to determine sometimes if praise comes from faith, or faith comes from praise. But
either way, if you are out to live by faith, make a habit of praising God, even when things are
bad. It will release His working grace in your life, and you will find the power and the peace of
God permeating the way you live.

If God should be with us who can be against us?

If God should inhabit the praises of his people sicknesses will go, poverty will go; confusion will
go...because God cannot be in those things. He cannot but re-establish you to His glory, amen.

WHY ME?

A question we ask ourselves so often.

A question Joseph, Moses, David and so many others have also asked themselves. A
question which the answer is, never say never.

What is that thing that is impossible for God to do? If He had shown you, put it into your mind or
through your dream He will surely do it. It may take some time, may look like it is never going
to happen... it will surely come to pass. The vision may tarry but surely must manifest.

Joseph a boy that quietly likes to give his father reports about his brothers‘ movement was loved
until he received the coat of many colours.

Process of time is a painful time.

The day you realize who you are, where you are going will be the beginning of your troubles and
your turning point in life.

Genesis 37 tells us how Joseph received the coat.

37:4 says and Joseph dreamed that he was born to be a ruler. 37:9 says and Joseph dreamed yet
another to become a prime minister.

It wasn‘t until he realized whom he was that his troubles began. Moreover, trouble was the
turning point of his life. He was hated, cast into the pit, was sold out, became a slave, a
houseboy. The master‘s wife says to him: lay with me, that request sent Joseph to prison. Joseph
must at this time ask: WHY ME?

ACTS 7: 22-23 we were told about Moses.

Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds, until
the day he realizes who he was. And started running for his dear life. Maybe you are learned in
the wisdom of the Britons, or the Americans, you have all the certificates, all the diplomas, and
all the degrees in a particular field then you realize who you really are and trouble starts, and you
ask: WHY ME?

Frank Chidi Page 30

Divine Setup

David was quietly minding the sheep until he realizes he is king, and started running for his
dear life. You were quietly in the village, minding your business, when you realize, you are the
chairman of a big company in the city and trouble starts. You ask: WHY ME?

As soon as you have that realization, hell was let loose and everything you thought will work for
you turned against you, the people you thought are your friends turned against you, the money
you are expecting never came, you saw yourself as a mother, since then the man never came,
since then it seems that all hope was lost... and you ask: WHY ME?.

You have a vision of your destination, you know the address of where you are going, a very
powerful vision of what God has predestined for you, and everything seems to go well, but: deep
down you are never satisfied, because your present achievement does not look like the dreams
you have been having, and you know something, somewhere, somehow is missing.

You have your coat of many colours, you are intelligent, diligent, and respectful to your elders,
that‘s already made you the envy of every body, your destiny, your purpose in life played back to
you in form of a vision, a desire, or a longing, at an appropriate time set out by God, and your
life starts crumbling down like a pack of cards. Before you know it, people that were close to you
will reject, sabotage, castigate, and set you up and try to kill you, and you ask your self: WHY
ME?.

You are only going through processing.

Then I can boldly say is only champions that say Why me? Because they know who they are in
the Lord, and wondered why they are going through what they are going through.

Champions are processed for promotion.

Our Lord Jesus Christ at the cross, said, why has thou forsaken me. Why? Knowing that He is
the King of kings, the Lord of lords, the way, the truth and life, went on to give the ultimate
answer. Let your will be done. Referring to the Almighty God.

The man that doesn‘t have a dream will never say why, because he thinks so little about him self.
The man that has no work, no income, will not say why, if he can not afford to buy a car, but will
say why, if he could not find a job.

Knowing your dream and following it prayerfully, you will know that nobody can stop you. No
matter how hard the journey becomes, know that nothing, I mean nothing can change the will of
God for you. You are made for a purpose, given a vision, ambitious the way you are, in all you
do, do it unto the Lord, so that God can bring about his will in your life.

I have news for you: God said it, and he would do it.

You thought it is late, you thought it is over. It‘s just in the process of time.

God want me to tell you it‘s late for the devil to kill you, because the Life giver is here.

It‘s too late for the devil to change your destiny, because Jesus the executor is here.

It‘s too late for the devil to deceive you, because the Truth is come and you will not but live to
declare the goodness of God.

It‘s not late to rededicate your life to Christ; he will make away for you where it seems that there
is no way. It‘s not late to give your life to Christ, to be saved, to find your way out of the
confusion of the devil, to have life and all the goodness of God.

The time is now. Make a decision today, and give your life to Christ, and renew your life in Christ Jesus.

IF ONLY

There are so many things, so many suggestions from the devil that our fathers or our forefathers
did or agreed to. They are wrong turns that they have taken that today we find ourselves in
situations beyond our strength, slavery, in the mouth of fish, in one problem or the other.
In Genesis 15:12–14 there was this horror of great darkness that fell upon Abram and told him.

If he had the knowledge we have today, the grace we have today he would have prayed. And turn
that curse, because it wasn‘t from God. It came to pass in Egypt, that the Israelites became
slaves. The Israelites in captivity prayed to God until they were connected to their Liberator,
which they could not recognize because it was not yet time. At a point Moses wished he could
save the people but had no training to lead. Exodus 2:11-12 His career had to wait, though, for a
period of humbling in the desert. He fled Egypt a self-confident man who liked to take matters
into his own hands. Forty years later he returned prepared and ready to perform miraculous
signs, with wife and his sons on a donkey, with the staff of God to his eventual goal of forging a
nation out of a ragtag band of captives.
The Lord said to Moses, I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt... So now, go. I am
sending you to Pharaoh to bring my people the Israelites out of Egypt.. Exodus 3:7, 10
Moses was empowered and he led the march from slavery to freedom, from Egypt to the
Promised Land.

Your wishes will not and cannot deliver or bless you, until you chose to move. Even God will
not do for you what you can do for your self.

We say if only somebody can help us to the pool, we could not see the healer, the Master Potter.
(John 5:4, 14).
If only my uncle can give me some money, you could not demonstrate your talent with your
ability.

Investment goes on capability not on wishes.

If only I can marry that lady, you never talked to her until somebody else comes to propose to
her.
If only I have money, I will help the church. So many things you could do with the little you
have, because if you wait until when you are a millionaire you will not even help yourself to be
blessed.

Frank Chidi Page 33

If only I have a car, I will go everywhere winning soul for Christ, what happen to your
immediate neighbor?
We need to pray for the mercy of God upon our life.

Please sing with me this song to start your prayers:

All I need is a touch from Jesus.
All I need is a touch from the Lord
All I need is a touch from Jesus
All I need is a touch from the Lord.

1. Pray to be reconnected to God.

Jonah 2:1-10 You were once His people but now are far because of disobedience, because of
sin. If God can hear Jonah inside the fish, today here and now He will command the fish, the
sickness, the cage in which you are locked to vomit you in Jesus name.

2. Pray to be heard.
Psalm 54:1, 7 In time of trouble and of need for you to be connected to your deliverance, your
breakthrough.

3. Pray to be in the Kingdom of God.

Psalm 110:1 (Total assurance) if you are connected to Christ then you are in the Kingdom of
God, and have the promise that all your enemies will be made as footstool for your feet.

4. Pray for connection to protection.

Having the anointing of God upon your life will connect you to direct inside information that
will save you. 1 Samuel 19:1–7.

5. Pray for Divine intervention for change of name.

You must wrestle. You are called mister or miss nobody, how do you think you will change the
stigma you have carried for so long without wrestling? You probably can change the physical
name but still have to meet Esau, and you are still in that face me I face you house, still jobless,
still single, still not sure of tomorrow.
Jacob as successful as he has become, in Genesis 32:7 was still afraid of his past, his brother
Esau, because he had deceived him two times in the past. Notice what he did in verse 9, he
prayed to God of his fathers, Abraham and Isaac to save him, in verse 12, he reminded God of
His promises, But you have said, ‗I will surely make you prosper and will make your
descendants like the sand of the sea, which cannot be counted.‘ That was not enough; he had
decided to be Esau‘s servant, for he thought, he will pacify him.

Genesis 27:35 “… Your brother came deceitfully and took your blessing.”
Things were changed sometimes before us, after us or by us, it doesn‘t matter how they were
changed, and when they were changed, but now we are faced with the past, and we need to deal
with it and bury it, in order to continue our journey towards the fulfillment of God‘s will for our
lives. We must wrestle to prove to God and to men that we are ready for the task ahead of us for
a change.

Frank Chidi Page 34

Divine Setup

When your name is really changed physically and spiritually people that used to know you in
that one room apartment at the back of the city will look for you in your old address, but will not
find you there, because you have been promoted.
You have been written off for marriage by the society standard, they see the wedding ring and
they are short of words.
You have been jumping from bus to ‗Okada‘ (motorcycle), and they see your new car and ask
for the owner, and suddenly, they want to become your friend, they want to do things for you,
and they want to bless you more like Solomon.
The opportunity will come; I pray you are able to wrestle until your name is changed.

Genesis 32:24, 28 “And Jacob was alone; and wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the
day… 28 And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast
thou power with God and with men, and has prevailed”.

That which God has put in your hand to do, no matter the conditions you may find your self
don‘t give it up until your name is changed.

6. Pray for healing.

Matthew 9:20–22 “And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve
years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:
For she said within herself, if I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole. But Jesus turned
him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee
whole. And the woman was made whole.”
The woman recognized the opportunity, the place, and the time. Her mind was set and she
took a decision. All she said was; if only I can touch the hem of his garment, I shall be whole.
She did not say she could be made whole: but that she will be whole. In verse 22 she was made
whole from that hour.

7
WHO SENT YOU OUT?

Not I said the Lord!

Please Who then is my accuser? Who then is the root of my trouble? Who?

John 5:45 Jesus said “Do not think I will accuse you to the father: there is one that accuseth
you...”

God deeds are good. God’s glory is magnified by his works and his love for man.

Psalms 8:3-9 “After creating so much what is man, that thou is mindful of him. And what is the
son of man, that thou visitest him. For thou made him a little lower than the angels, and crowned
him with glory and honor, Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; and
has put all things under his feet: O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”

The Excellency of God is actualized in the creation of man.

We have dominion over everything, even over what could take life. We have dominion over
candle; but if we should touch the flame we will be burned.
Genesis 2:16-17 God gave an instruction not to eat the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Genesis 3:6 we disobey and eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Notice that there was another tree of life Genesis 3:22 but Adam and Eve did not eat of that first
because there was no law attached to it.
We often wonder why we pray and it seems that our prayers are not answered, and why we can‘t
hear from God? It is simple Disobedience, and that brought SIN.
Do not eat the fruit. That simple instruction if obeyed would have kept us in the garden.

Genesis 3:24 ―So God drove out the man‖.

Whatever we ask not to do, that is exactly what we will desire to do. That is the nature of sin that
opposed anything that has the law attached to.
Romans 7:7-9 “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. We said without the law sin
was dead. For I was alive without the law once: The law, which was ordained to life, I found to
be unto death.”

Who then sent you out?

Frank Chidi Page 36

Divine Setup

God created the earth for you to subdue, not to be subdued by it, and He couldn‘t have spent all
his time to create a beautiful garden, and living things, to dominate his image and his breath.

God did not send you out, your sin did.

Isaiah 50:1 “Thus saith the Lord, Where is the bill of your mother’s divorcement, whom I have
put away? Or which of my creditors is it to whom I have sold you? Behold, for your iniquities
have ye sold your selves, and for your transgressions is your mother put away.”

Remember that God is able to bring you back if you will obey Him.

Has God not done more than you were requesting for to you in the past?

Isaiah 50:2-3 “Wherefore, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there none to
answer? Is my hand shortened at all, that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver?
Behold, at my rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness: their fish stinketh, because
there is no water, and dieth for thirst. I clothe the heavens with blackness; I make sackcloth their
covering.”
Revelation 3:19 “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock; if any man hear my voice, and open
the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me”.

Get the right perspective.

1 Samuel 17:3 When Goliath came against the Israelites, they all thought, he is so big we can‘t
kill him. But David looked at the same giant and thought; he‘s so big I can‘t miss him! He
remembered that God had delivered him out of the paw of the lion and the bear.

One of the best ways to keep perspective is to remember what God has done for you.
Deut. 8:2 “And thou shalt remember all the way which the Lord thy God led thee these forty
years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart,
whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or not.”
Reasoning to faith will make you to sin and when you do, you will sink.
Matthew 14:29-31 Peter sinking. If God led you into the water, do you think He wanted to let
you drown?

Don’t doubt in the dark what God has shown you in the light.
John 8:36 said “If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.”

The Lord will see you through in Jesus name.

Isaiah 50:7-10 “For the Lord God will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore
have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed. He is near that justifieth
me; who will contend with me? Let us stand together: who is mine adversary? Let him come near
to me.

Behold, the Lord God will help me; who is he that shall condemn me? Lo, they all shall wax old
as a garment; the moth shall eat them up.

Who is among you that feareth the Lord, that obeyeth the voice of his servant, that walketh in
darkness, and hath no light? Let him trust in the name of the Lord, and stay upon his God.”

If you follow him obey him and you shall be rewarded.

Joshua 7:12 turned their backs before their enemies, because they were accursed: neither will I
be with you any more, except ye destroy the accursed [devoted thing] from among you..

What is that, which you have added to your self that does not glorify God?

You called yourself a child of God, and you have collected charms from the herbalist, for
protection, for power, or whatever it might be for, you are accursed.

Until you sanctify yourself and get rid off the entire accursed thing, you will always be defeated.
(Joshua 7:13).

Leviticus 26:3-12 “If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them…”

1. God will give rain in due season. (Flow of blessing).

2. Land shall yield increase, and trees yield their fruit. (Whatever you put your hand into
shall prosper).

3. You shall have in abundance for all times.

4. You will have peace in the land.

5. No evil shall come near your dwelling.

6. You shall be empowered to eliminate your enemies.

7. God‘s covenant shall be established with you, fruitfulness and multiplication.

8. You will never lack, the new will meet the old.

9. God will dwell among you, and will not detest you.

10. And God will walk among you, and will be your God, and ye shall be his people.

If you follow Him, honor Him.

1. God is the ultimate Owner and The Source of all good.

2. God meets man in the totality of his need in the person of Jesus Christ.

Frank Chidi Page 38

3. Man can find true meaning in life only through a personal faith and relationship to Jesus
Christ.

4. The Bible is God‘s Word and the only infallible guide for faith and practice.

5. The Holy Spirit dwells in the empowering for all service.

6. As children of God, whose faith is anchored in Jesus Christ, we must obey Him in every
area of our lives.

7. Jesus has commissioned us to take the gospel to the whole word, and the only alternative
is disobedience to this commission and insubordination to the great commission.

8. Give attention to every appeal that comes your way; it may turn out to be a God given
opportunity.

9. Relate every area of your life, personal and professional, to the will of God.

10. Be faithful to your local Church. Make it your top priority.

11. When you have a problem, jump in the middle of it and work your way out.

12. Know your business. Stay in close touch with it. Meet the spiritual as well the material
needs of your employees.

13. Stay alert and active.

14. Give God the glory for all your blessings.

1. Let‘s ask for the mercies of God, for the abundance of his grace for forgiveness. Psalm 51.

2. Restoration of faith, family, business, and our church.

NO MORE!

The enemy has used strategies to stop your progress in whatever is lawfully yours in the past,
please say, no more to whatever is holding you down. No more, no more… no more nonsense.
The word of God through Elisha said in
2 Kings 7 that “tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and
two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.”
God said by this time tomorrow, somebody needs to make up his mind and rise up to the
challenges and press forward, because if you do not start moving now, you probably will not get
there by this time tomorrow.
You have been sitting by the gate for too long, you are afraid of what the society will say if you
should start that business, what will they say if you should marry that sister or that brother you
need to get out, and do what God want you to do, and become who God says you are.
Stop limiting your self to the society standard, and press forward into God‘s standard.
Stop limiting your self…stop limiting yourself.

2 Kings 7:3-4 “Four leprous men said one to another, why sit we here until we die?
If we enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still
here, we die also, now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us
alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.
Verse 5 And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp off the Syrians
Verse 7 Wherefore they arose and fled in the twilight, and left their tents, and their horses and
their asses, even the camp as it was, and fled for their life.‖

Until you say no more to the bad situation around you, things will not change. You will notice
that as they decided to go and rise up in the twilight, was exactly the time their enemies arise
and flee in the twilight the camp. If you rise and say no more to the trouble in your life, the
trouble will arise and flee in Jesus name.
Until you say no more, you will not change the impossibility into possibility.
Esther 4:16 “…I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go unto the king, which is
not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.”
Until you say no more, you will not revolt and there will not be a revolution.
Esther 5:2-3 It probably will not be according to the law of the land, but because it‘s according
to the word of God you will receive favor before the king and a new decree that will favor your
cause will be promulgated. Esther 8:8.

Trusting in God through the incitement and encouragement of Haggai and Zechariah, the
building of the house of God was set forward. They were encouraged by the word of God Ezra
5:3-5.
Until you make up your mind to advance, regardless of the persecution from opposition, your
enemy, you will be hindered. Ezra 6:3
Jabez made up his mind to be successful. You will set a goal for yourself and trust forward.
1Chronicles 4:9.
When you stand firm on the word of God, his promises that is unchangeable, and He said stand
still because the battle is his, and doing all you are doing as unto the Lord, I can guaranty you
that the harassments and strategies used in the past against you will backfire.

The enemy will be made to pay all expenses for what you would have loved to do for free or be
impaled on their own roof beams. Ezra 6:11-12.
Until you say no more, there will not be a revelation.
The help of the enemies and the directions of the prophets finished the temple. Ezra 6:13.
Do not lie down where the enemy wants you, or where life kept you. Attempt another level.

What is it?
Are you lonely?
Is your business suffering a set back?
Maybe it is your family, your children.
What is it that the enemy is holding against you, and intimidating you with?
What is it in your past that is affecting your present?

What is it?
How long will you manage that situation in your life, how long will you keep what is not yours.
Until you face it and deal with it, you will still be running from your past.
The blind beggar said no more and received his sight despite the rebuke of those who led the
way, because he has made up his mind. They have told him about every passerby, if they are
wealthy or poor, a priest, Levite, or a Samaritan; but come this day he ask as usual and he was
told that Jesus is passing by. He was rebuked, because he did the un-usual, he did not ask for
money, not for a handout; but for his sight.

Luke 18:41 “What do you want me to do for you? Lord, I want to see, he replied.”
No more, except you bless me said Jacob; I will not let you go. Genesis 32:24-29.
Hannah said no more to bareness, and rose up. 1 Samuel 1:6-11.

We need to understand something here that, there is no way you will not change your situation
around, if what you are asking for, will be given back to God. If only you realized that you are
just a vessel.
When you say no more to your situation and your aim is to selfishly acquire something that will
not help your neighbor, community, and serve God‘s purpose, then your prayers may not be
answered.

NO MORE!

If God should be with us who can, be against us.

I prophesy to you today that even your enemies will help you to build.

NO MORE NONSENSE!

NO MORE LIMITATION!
NO MORE SICKNESS!
NO MORE CONFUSION!
NO MORE LONELINESS!
Because you have made up your mind to succeed where others failed.
God asked Ezekiel if these dry bones can live again.
Ezekiel said O Lord you know. And God said prophesy. Ezekiel 37.
I am saying to you at this very moment to prophesy to your trouble in Jesus name.
