PAST PROGRESSIVE TENSE
Dipakai untuk menyatakan suatu kegiatan yang sedang
berlangsung pada waktu yang telah lewat.
Tense ini biasanya tidak pernah berdiri sendiri. Akan tetapi,
pada umumnya selalu dipakai bersama dengan Simple Past
Tense dengan menggunakan kata hubung when.

E.g.,
I dont have any money in my wallet.
She doesnt have any friends.
Dalam kalimat interogatif menekankan bahwa hanya
beberapa saja dan jawaban yang diharapkan adalah
yes.

Contoh:
Do you have some money? (I need some of yours)
Dalam kalimat interogatif menekankan bahwa yang
ditanyakan adalah banyak.

Adjective: menerangkan kata benda yang
mengikutinya.
This beach is empty during winter.
These boys will help you to clean your house.
That actor is handsome.
Those chairs are made of wood.

Pronouns menggantikan kata benda.
This is my brother, Tim and that is my sister, Jill.
These are the old paintings, those are the old statues.
ADVERB OF MANNER
Menerangkan bagaimana sebuah peristiwa terjadi dan
bagaimana seseorang melakukan sesuatu.
Posisi adverb of manner adalah setelah kata kerja.
She runs fast
Apabila ada 2 buah objek dalam sebuah kalimat, maka adverb
of manner pada umumnya diletakkan di akhir kalimat.
My mother gave the book to me happily
Dalam bentuk passive, adverb of manner diletakkan sebelum
adjective.
This house is absolutely clean.
