The Company
GlaxoSmithKline is one of the world's leading research-based healthcare company. Headquartered in
the UK, it is a global organization with offices in over 100 countries. GSK Consumer Healthcare is an
associate of GlaxoSmithKline PLC of the U.K. It is the largest player in the health food drinks industry in
India and one of the fastest growing FMCH (Fast Moving Consumer Healthcare) companies in India with
almost a CAGR of 18% over the last five years. GSKCH has leading brands in Nutrition, Wellness and
Oral Health Care categories like Horlicks, Boost, Eno, Iodex, Crocin, Sensodyne, Parodontax. Most of
these brands enjoy leading position in their respective categories.

GSKCH is driven by the mission of Improve the quality of life by enabling people to do more, feel
better and live longer.

Problem Statement
Malnutrition is a serious issue that developing markets like India are facing today. 50% of the children in
India are victims of malnutrition. According to UNICEF, one of three malnourished children in the world is
from India. Malnutrition in children is not affected by food intake alone; it is also influenced by access to
health services, quality of care for the child and pregnant mother as well as good hygiene practices.
Research shows that girls are more at risk of malnutrition than boys because of social taboos and norms
prevalent in the Indian society.

GSKCH drives its business agenda through the strong value based culture and legacy. Aligned to the
mission of improving quality of lives of people, it needs to come up with a business strategy/plan to
counter malnutrition in India.

The Task
Your task is to design/formulate a sustainable business strategy/plan to counter malnutrition
while balancing the corporate objectives of the organization.
The strategy should include the roadmap for the next five years with clearly implementable steps
and proposed milestones in the process.
Analyse the key challenges/risks in your proposal and sketch out mitigation plans for the same.

Rules

The participation of campuses/institutes is by invitation only.
The participation is limited to first year Business Management Students only.
Team sizes of 2-3. No individual participation is allowed.
Last date to submit your entries is 24th Sep 1800 hours to your placement coordinator
The entries have to be submitted in ppt or pptx file format
The file name should be in teamname_collegename format only
Top three teams shall present to the GSK Panel
Members of winning team shall receive PPIs for Summer Recruitment Process
The presentation should not exceed more than 15 slides including appendix (If any)
