efect changes to community policies and systems that will promote
access to healthy foods and opportunites for physical actvity for all
residents. It is part of the Mass in Moton statewide initatve
through the Department of Public Health. This photo

Why do they have it there if theyre not going to use it? Its all broken and the
ground is not good. The grass is already growing. Its always locked. I used to go
under the lock and sneak in. It would be great if it was open, because people
would want to go and play outdoors. Theres a lot of kids there, and parent would
like for their kids to play. They could sit there looking at them.

Its supposed to be a basketball hoop but theres no hoop. It could be used to
atract people to go and rent their homes, it could be atractve. Its prety
useless.

People use the buses for work, school, everything. There were a lot of people
waitng for the bus and getng of the bus.

$5 is too much. I feel like if you go to the high school you should be able to go for
free. And you cannot go out and come back. Could high school students use their
cards? Maybe $2 would be beter. I dont like the locker room. its in bad conditon.
The cheaper it is, then maybe the more money they would get [because more
people would go].

Once my cousin made a cookout party/graduaton party. But they had to do it
when the sun set because it was too hot and sunny. It would be good if there was
an umbrella or something for shade.

getng to school
I think they should pave the cemetery, because kids use it as a shortcut to get to
school. Kids use it more ofen because the street is more dangerous.

crossing the road
This is where we cross the street- we need a crosswalk here, because this is the
fastest way to get to school so we cross here. The next crosswalk is too far down.

I go there a lot with my friends. I stay there when its cold, waitng for the bus
(theres no shelter at the bus stop). Sometmes they let us stay inside, but
sometmes they wont let us stay if we dont buy something.

snack foods
We always get the cheaper snacks but they are less healthy. They had the fresh
food at CVSbut it doesnt look that good, like its been there for a long tme. Ive
never tried anything. These are the chips I always get. To me, Redbull is a grownup
drink, but the boys drink it a lot.

This is an intersecton on the way to Mill Valley. Potholes in the road make the bus
really bumpy.

Boulders gym. It is a nice gym. People use it a lot. I use it too.

new fence on rail trail
The Dept. of Conservaton and Recreaton recently installed a new fence in front
of the unofcial dirt path that many of these residents use to get to the grocery
store and other places. As i was taking pictures of the new fence I watched an en-
tre family squeeze themselves between the slats in the fence. Mom, dad, and
four kids, plus their bikes and service dog (both parents were blind). They live in the
apartments of of E. Hadley Rd, and were very frustrated about the new fence.

getng to the store
If any of the 2,000+ residents want to get to the store by foot or bike and cant get
to the bike path, they can (and do) go by the side of the road (E. Hadley Rd). This
road is very narrow and dangerous, with no sidewalks or shoulder.

The shoulder is very limited along E. Hadley Rd and makes it dangerous for walkers
or bikers.
