Personal Statement
I am currently in my second year of studying animation, visual effects and game art at Glyndwr
University. In my studies, I have learned how to manage my time effectively in order to meet
deadlines and produce the highest quality work I can. Studying animation has also given me the
opportunity to work in a team of highly creative individuals which has allowed me to develop my
communication skills and has taught me how to work effectively in a team. I have also learned how
to take on board criticisms from my tutors and peers and learn from any mistakes that I may have
made. I love learning from others which is reflected in my studies and also in my spare time, which I
usually spend researching various artistic techniques, in both the traditional and digital mediums, in
order to develop my own style and to further my knowledge of art.
When the opportunity presents itself, I also like to take part in craft fairs in order to sell my own
handmade crafts and earn a small profit while doing so. This reflects my keen interest in both art and
business as I do enjoy the whole process of manning my own small business for a short period of
time. I have learned the importance of professionalism around customers and also how important it
is to be patient and welcoming to everyone that may or may not be a potential customer.
