Leader: Christians, in whom do you
believe?

Unison: We believe in God the Father
Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth.

And we believe in Jesus Christ, His
only Son our Lord, who was conceived
by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin
Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, dead, and buried; He
descended into hell. The third day He
rose again from the dead. He ascended
to heaven and is seated at the right hand
of God the Father Almighty. From there
He will come to judge the living and the
dead.

And we believe in the Holy Spirit, the
Holy catholic church, the communion of
saints, the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and the life
everlasting. Amen.

Upcoming Preaching Schedule:
Pastor Johns step-mom passed away suddenly on September 28th. The Ferguson
family is in Texas attending the funeral & visiting family. Please keep them in your
prayers.

Sunday School Update:
Sunday School classes will begin next Sunday, October 19th immediately following
the service, ending at 12:30. There are no classes on Potluck sundays. We will be
running 2 classes this year (K-Gr. 2 and Gr.3-6).

Gracefinder Open House:
Gracefinder Resourcing Network is hosting an open house on Saturday, October
18th from 1-3pm at Westview Baptist Church (1313 Ranchlands Way NW). Staff &
board members will be sharing ministry updates & upcoming plans.

Concert of Prayer:
Join us in two weeks, October 26th, for a time of worship and prayer training as
pastor Mike leads us through a time of guided prayer. This is a perfect time to learn
more about prayer, to learn how to pray and how to pray together as we seek Gods
blessing on our church and on our city. Nursery and childcare are available.

Calgary Reformation Conference:
Bethel URC Church is hosting a Reformation Conference on Friday, October 31st at
7:30 PM and Saturday, November 1 from 9:00am-12:00noon (730 101 Street SW,
Calgary). Rev. Wybren Oord of Trinity URC in Lethbridge will be speaking on "The
