HERO INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE 2014
ISL 2014 and all its previous editions being a
massive hit, it is time to turn our eyes towards
football.

The All India Football Federation (AIFF) is
supporting a new league for football which is
co-promoted by Reliance & IMG industries.
The title sponsorship for the league is provided
by Hero Moto Corp, so the league is named as
Hero Indian Super League.

latest schedule is a great opportunity for the
Young rising stars of football to play in the
league along with the great foreigner legends in
the field of soccer.
There was an auction conducted for the
franchises ownership to be distributed.

After a great auction, eight teams were made
which will be seen fighting in the tournament
for the pride and glory ultimately becoming the
winner of ISL 2014.
Each team stands for one territory or state or
city. The eight teams for the league are:

Atltico de Kolkata, FC Goa, North East United,
Mumbai City FC, Delhi Dynamos FC,
Chennaiyin FC, Kerala Blasters FC and finally
FC Pune City.

All the eight teams are owned by popular faces of
India. Some are legends of cricketers while some
are super popular stars and renowned industrialists.

To name a few may include Sachin Tendulkar,
Sourav Ganguly, Virat Kohli, Salman Khan, John
Abraham, Ranbir Kapoor, Abhishek Bachchan and
many other famous personalities.
All the teams are gifted with great players
featuring one marquee player. The names of the
marquee players belonging to different countries
and who will be seen playing for different
franchises are Robert Pirs, Antonio Lpez
Habas, Spain Luis Garcia, Elano, Harm van
Veldhoven,
Alessandro Del Piero, Zico, Marco Materazzi,
David James, Peter Reid, Fredrik Ljungberg,
David Trezeguet, Joan Capdevila, Franco
Colomba and Ricki Herbert.

The eight stadiums are Jawaharlal Nehru
Stadium, Fatorda (Goa), D.Y. Patil Stadium
(Navi Mumbai), Salt Lake (Kolkata), Jawaharlal
Nehru Stadium (Kochi), Indira Gandhi Stadium
(Guwahati), Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium (Delhi),
Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Shivaji Sports Complex
(Pune) and Jawaharlal Nehru
Stadium (Chennai). Each city stadium is the home
ground to the team resembling the particular
corresponding city.

Salt Lake stadium of Kolkata is expected to be
the venue for the ceremony as the first match is
to be played there.
