There is no system available for manitoring testing hoses life. Needs to mark idenfication on each &
every hose & make a format for monitoring hoses life.
Testing skid hoses mouth are open when engine is not loaded on skid, so there may chances of any
material fall down inside the hose. For avoiding this type of situation protection caps are needed.
Engine not clean properly inside test cell during testing. Needs to provide pressurised air & water
mixture for engine cleaning.
Light refected on engine due to glass film is not available on test cell door glass, which leads the
difficulty for checking the engine leakage with UV lamp.
During material transfer from stoare to engine assembly line most of the times parts getting damaged
due to material bin falls down from trolly. This is happened due to trolly touches to the assembly door
& during opening the door, trolly lifted. for avoiding this trolly stopper line is required.
Wrong bolt (cowl engine bolt) was fitted on regular 202hp engine during assmbly of engine. For
avoiding this type of wrong fittement, special bolts needs to be feed in kitting tray.

For water pump test rig the pipe to be fitted to water pump housing to direct the coolant(coolant
coming from water pump weep hole) to collecting area.
In water pump test rig - the coolant collecting tubes are free in bottom sheet, if coolant leakage occurs
it may confuse, From which pump it leaks. So the provision to be made to transfer that coolant to
collecting area
In water pump test rig, there is no provision to collect the coolant coming from water pump weep hole,
if any. So it is difficult to easure the amount of coolant quantity leak from perticular water pump. So 4
test tube to be used to collect coolant coming from water pump weep hole,if any, seperatly for each
water pump.
During LCCR proto engine built, it was observed that cam face sensor was fitted properly due to oil
sealing ring. So oil seal ring was removed & sensor assemble with 683K anabond. And avoid potential
failure of oil leakage.
For 150HP BEML engine, GT2260 turbocharger wastegate hose fouls to exhaust manifold.To avoid this
fouling wastgate position to be changed by rotating it.
For 318cc Air compressor water inlet and outlet hose routing is changed to avoid fouling of hoses to air
compressor air outlet pipe.

New fixture for Oil seal fitment was designed beacuse eariler for oil seal assembly more time for
assembly was taken and issues of quality were also there due to entering of dust inside oil seal and
edge of oil seal aslo used to bend which lead to oil seal leakage. Creating this fixture resolved all these
problems leading to increase in quality and productivity.
New special tool for LDA pipe was created to hold the pipe during torquing which was earlier held by
hand which resulted in pinching of LDA pipe which resulted in engine seisure during Testing.
Crankshaft gear dovel pin used to break beacuse of misalingment of fixture which was corrected by
using loacting pins.
To Eliminate the Cylinder Head scratch mark issue by using brass on locating pins.
Cutting of Cylinder Head Valve Guide Plate projected bolts which led to scratch mark on Cylinder head
face.
Locating pin for oil sump was redesigned.
Oil filter tightening tool was modified by adding cloth.
