Summary 4 Fraser's Hill International Bird Race It is organized by the Fraser's Hill Development Corporation of Pahang and usually co- sponsored by the Malaysian Nature Society and the Malaysian WWW for Nature. For local and international birdwatchers can get to watch and see more than 260 species of birds, not only of the endemic and local varieties but also migratory birds.And the bird communities found at Fraser's Hill range from the common to the exotic and the extremely rare species.This event is actually a fun event where human participants and nature lovers, from Malaysia and overseas, will outdo each other to sight, identify and record the most number of bird species within a set time frame and location in this cool highlands. And so the basic requirements for participants in this fun nature event are a good pair of eyes, ears, binoculars, perhaps a torchlight, a guidebook on birds, and a pen and notebook to record the sightings. an avid birder will usually bring along his long-zoom digital camera or video-camera to record his sightings. But any person who previously never could tell a bird from a bat (or a squirrel, maybe..) can take part in this educational and fun event. In fact every year the Fraser's Hill International Bird Race has a few categories, where young children, students and family groups can participate, with prizes awarded.

This events aim is to promote Melaka, especially the Melaka River and the monorail that travel from Spice Garden to Dataran Hang Tuah. The annual Penang Floral Festival was from the 3 rd of June to 10 th of June 2012 at Penang Botanical Garden. It is organized by the Penang State Tourism Development & Culture Committee, Penang Art Society, FOMOS, Penag Floral Art Society, Malayan Nature Society and Friends of Botanic Gardens. Visitors and horticulture enthusiasts may participate in the various competitions and activities which includes Talks on Fertilizers and Orchids, Canvas Shopping Bag Printing made from local plants, Colors of Nature Childrens Programme and Leaf Craft Demonstration. The highlight of the Festival is the Bonsai, Suiseki and Adenium Competition and Exhibition with over 1,000 different plants All type of bonsai can be entered for the competition and exhibition, except those exceeding 120 cm in height. Cash prizes worth RM10,000.00 awaits the winners. Aside from that, there will be retail outlets from all over Malaysia which will be promoting and selling horticultural and landscape products such as Bonsai and Adenium plants.
Summary 7 Royal Langkawi International Regatta (RLIR)
The first Royal Langkawi International Regatta took place in the year 2003 which was organized and hosted by the Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. Since then the regatta has gained popularity within the yachters community all over the world and has been established as a major sailing event in the region. Today RLIR has a separate committee that organizes the regatta in conjunction with Malaysian Yachting Association and under full patronage of Royal Langkawi Yacht Club which remains as the main host.
The event takes place during the first quarter of the year (between Jan to March) for several days and Yachters from all over the world come to Langkawi to compete in this fascinating yacht race under various categories. In 2013 for example, over 40 sail boats of different sizes and classes participated from over 12 different countries. There have been a gathering of over 250 sailors and hundreds of yachting enthusiasts in the island. the regatta involves two different race conditions - Kuah Harbor Race which takes place on the Bass Harbor of Kuah town and offer windy condition with flat waters, and the Coastal Race which offers strong windy conditions in choppy waters.
There are coveted prizes in different categories. For example Prime Minister's Challenge Trophy (for Racing Class yachts), the Commodore's Challenge Cup (for participants in club registered cruisers), the LADA-IRC Challenge Trophy (for participants in IRC 1 Class), the Langkawi Sports Trophy (for participants in Sports Boat Class) and the Malaysian Multi-hull Challenge Cup (for participants under the Multihull category - Catamarans, Trimarans etc).

Bukit Layang-layang yang terletak di Taman Bandar, Pasir Gudang merupakan satu-satunya tapak permainan layang-layang yang telah diiktiraf di peringkat antarabangsa dan menjadi tumpuan lebih 10,000 pengunjung tempatan dan luar negara yang datang untuk menyaksikan festival layang-layang setiap tahun. Kontinjen Kelantan sekali lagi dinobatkan juara keseluruhan Festival Layang-Layang Sedunia Pasir Gudang Ke-18. Acara selama lima hari itu disertai sebanyak 836 pelayang dari 36 negara termasuk China, Australia, New Zealand, Amerika Syarikat, Jepun, Indonesia dan Brunei serta empat negara peserta baharu iaitu Colombia, Rusia, Ukraine dan Zambia. Selain dapat mencapai objektif pertandingan, program sebegini juga merupakan sebahagian daripada proses pembentukan jati diri pensyarah dan pelajar Politeknik Ibrahim Sultan. Pertandingan layang-layang sedunia ini merupakan acara tahunan dalam kalendar Negeri Johor .

This year, a total of 18 unique balloons from around the world will be on display and among the spectacular shaped ones to look out for are the Darth Vader Hot Air Balloon, a Racing Motorcycle Hot Air Balloon, an Ice Cream Cone Hot Air Balloon and a Heart Shaped Hot Air Balloon.Previous years saw many other unique shapes like a Doraemon, a Giant Tree and also A Farmhouse Hot Air Balloon. Based on the public demand, the Doraemon Hot Air Balloon was one of the most popular ones and many are curious on why Doraemon did not make it this time around. Balloonist from the USA, UK, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Korea, Spain, France, Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Belgium and not forgetting our own one from Malaysia piloted by Mohd. Sobri Saad. The Malaysian Hot Air Balloon will be a standard type balloon which is green and yellow in color too.
