The third Year Nursing students, who are currently taking NCM 102 (Curative
and Rehabilitative Nursing Care Manageent!, will be having their a"liation at
Cagayan #alley Medical Center, a training and a tertiary level hos$tital with a
%00 bed ca$acity& They will be having their duty $aticularly at the Medical 'ard
(or 1)0 hours as a $art o( their intensive $re$aration in handling $atient
e*$eriencing varied health $robles& They will be trained in ters o( their
decision aking ca$ability, rendering health care $rocedures, adinistering
edications , and counication skills&

Nursing Students
These students belong to the .rd year level who are currently taking NCM 102
(Curative and Rehabilitative Nursing Care Manageent!& They are higlhly e/ui$ed
with conce$ts and theories in handling $atients with di0erent health disturbances,
as series o( lectures about edical1surgical nursing were conducted on to the by
highly co$etent $ro(essional nurses&
III.DESCRIPTION OF THE SETTING

set1u$, $rotocol, $olicies and the routinary activities o( the edical ward&
The level +++ students will be e*$ose at the edical ward in Cagayan
#alley Medical Center, a %00 bed ca$acity and a tertiary level hos$ital& +t
is training hos$itals with strict $olicies and high standard $rotocols
ensuring high /uality $atient care delivery& They only allow students to
$er(or basic tasks and with a guidance a clinical instructor who is a
registered nurse& The sta0 nurses work collabortively with the students
together with their clinical instructor& 3ta0 utili4e (unctional nursing
where in nurses $er(or s$eci-c tasks&

guidance, assistance, and su$ervision in enhancing critical thinking and
$roble solving skills, and in their i$leentation o( nursing

edications, rendering $riary health care, conducting health
educations, and $re$aring nursing care $lans that is directed towards
