Sonic Bloom Product Introduction
Sonic Bloom is a totally-organic, highly-concentrated, foliar spray containing plant
extracts, trace minerals and seaweed. Absorption into the plants of this nutrient is
enhanced by audio stimulation.
The concentrated foliar nutrient spray, containing plant extracts, trace minerals and
amino acids, is totally organic. It contains no fish or animal products; and is not a
fertilizer.
When used in conjunction with a specially-developed patented sound generator, Sonic
Bloom has produced remarkable yields and high-quality, nutritious, healthy, fruit,
vegetables, nuts, and herbs, as well as outstanding flowers and rapid tree growth.
We believe Sonic Bloom consistently produces the following characteristics in a wide-
range of crops:
tStimulates plant growth more effectively than any other known agent
tDramatically increases flowering and fruiting productivity leading to increased
yields
tBetter uniformity of fruit and vegetable size
tStimulates the genetic memories of cells to produce dynamic adaptations to
unfavorable environmental factors leading to excellent crops in unsuitable
climates
tHigher brix and nutrient levels
tSuperior taste
tLonger shelf and storage life
tWe believe increased sugar content increases resistance to pests and diseases
tOne to three weeks' earlier maturity of produce, permitting farmers to beat their
competition to market
Over the past 30 years, plant-breeding scientist, Dan Carlson, has developed SONIC
BLOOM. The complex, organic, seaweed-based formula is most effective when
applied to the leaves of plants and trees as a fine spray, or to seeds as a carefully-
timed soak.
The oscillating frequency generator (Sound Unit) produces acoustic energy which
stimulates plant metabolism at the cellular level, resulting in a greatly increased
foliar uptake rate of moisture and nutrients, which is quickly reflected in increased
seed germination, root growth, plant growth and overall increased production. When
the SONIC BLOOM sound system and foliar nutrient spray are used simultaneously,
there is a substantial increase in the absorption of nutrients by the plants as
compared to the absorption rate in plants treated with conventional foliar methods.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: To begin, what exactly is SONIC BLOOM?
A: SONIC BLOOM is a revolutionary new system to enhance plant growth naturally.
Dan Carlson, a research scientist, has developed a concept which involves the unique
combination of sound and a specially developed foliar spray.
Q: Yes, but how does it actually work?
A: The special sound is made up of harmonic frequencies which stimulate the tiny
pores on plant leaves to open. When these pores, called stomata, are open, the plant is
able to increase its uptake of SONIC BLOOM balanced Nutrient by over 700%.
Q: That is a big increase! The sound is obviously important, but what about the
Nutrient?
A: The Nutrient itself is really the important thing. Its a combination of over 60 trace
minerals, amino acids and naturally-occurring growth stimulants. The sound is a tool to
increase the the effect of this organic foliar spray. Forty-five minutes minimum sound
stimulation is necessary before and after the leaves are sprayed.
Q: Yes, but if this sound increases absorption by so much, wont any foliar spray work
with the SONIC BLOOM sound?
A: This is an important point. Dan Carlson discovered the sound almost 30 years ago,
but took 20 years of painstaking development to create a balanced nutrient to complete
the system. The problem was that the huge increase in absorption tended to magnify any
imbalances and elements could become locked up as a result. So the sound and the
balanced nutrient are inseparable. This is the world record breaking combination, and
trials have shown other combinations to be ineffective.
Q: Okay, so SONIC BLOOM is the clever balance of a sound and a nutrient. Now,
how often do they need to be applied?
A: This varies from crop to crop. Vegetables, for example, require sprays every 7 to 10
days, while tree crops need a monthly spray; 5 to 7 sprays is ideal for most things. The
sound should be applied as often as possible, particularly early in the morning when the
dew is still on the leaves. Dew actually contains free-floating nutrients and when it is
absorbed so effectively it can provide both drought protection and increased growth.
Q: Now, how exactly are the spray and the sound applied?
A: The Sound Units are activated by a solar cell which turns them on at daylight and
off at nightfall. They are powered by a 12 volt battery and are fully weatherproof. They are
usually mounted on a pole or tree in the middle of a growing area. These units are
available in three different sizes: (a) Model I Unit covers 1 to 5 acres; (b) Model II Unit
covers 25-40 acres; and Model III Unit covers up to 60 acres. Multiples of these units are
used for larger acreage.
Q: How will I know if my crops are improving?
A: We ask that you set aside a small part of your acreage as a control area.
Frequently Asked Questions page 2
Q: Will the sound affect my animals or annoy my neighbors?
A: No, the sound doesnt bother animals at all and is inoffensive, so theres no
problem. The smallest commercial unit includes a volume control to govern the right
amount of sound for the size of the area to be treated. The larger commercial units should
not be situated near a house. From a distance they become a back-ground noise simular
to crickets; but too close, or aimed directly at a nieghbor could be annoying.
Q: Are fertilizers still necessary or is SONIC BLOOM the complete substitute?
A: SONIC BLOOM is not a fertilizer. It is a plant growth enhancer. We always
recommend that the grower continue to fertilize as usual. After SONIC BLOOM treatment
you can expect rapid growth, earlier maturity and good yield increases on top of what you
would normally expect. You can experiment later and reduce fertilizer costs. Many of our
growers do, but initially its best to carry on as normal.
Q: SONIC BLOOM apparently has the ability to heal sick plants. Can it be used as the
perfect problem solver?
A: No. its a mistake to treat SONIC BLOOM as a cure-all. It can, in fact, heal sick
plants, but if you have a problem, soil analysis is recommended. SONIC BLOOM will not
overcome a major soil deficiency. It may help, but ultimately the problem must be
addressed.
Q: Is the system easy to use? Is it as simple as play, spray and grow or is a degree
in chemistry necessary to follow instructions?
A: Yes, basically its just play, spray and grow, but there are a few rules that must be
followed to fully benefit from the system. These are clearly explained on the following
pages..
Q: The nutrient is totally organic, but isnt it a bit like enhance feeding the plant, using
the sound to increase absorption?
A: The only way to answer that is to suggest that you look at the end result. SONIC
BLOOM-treated plants are obviously more luxuriant and abundant. They are more
disease and pest resistant, produce more and live a lot longer. It depends on your criteria,
but it would be very hard to deny that these are happy plants.
Q: Now, the big question: How much does the system cost?
A: The Sound Units are priced between $250 - $650 each and involves minimum
Nutrient purchase. The reason for this is to preserve the integrity of the SONIC BLOOM
system. It is human nature to try other foliar sprays with the sound, but they simply do not
work and it makes our system look bad. The system costs about $50 - $60 per acre per
crop per season for a full program for field and row crops, so a yield increase of between
just 2% - 10% is all that is necessary to cover the cost of treatment. Local yield increases
have greatly exceeded this. Our growers report, earlier maturity, drought resistance,
increased pest and disease resistance, higher sugar levels and associated taste
improvement, extended shelf life and rapid balanced growth, you begin to
see where SONIC BLOOM becomes a gilt-edged investment!
Spray Equipment for Applying Sonic Bloom
SPRAYER
The most effective method of spraying Sonic Bloom is with a tractor and P.T.O-driven
mist sprayer. The next is a tractor and P.T.O.-driven boom type sprayer.
If a tractor type sprayer is not available, then the most economical method is to use a
power back-pack mist blower.
The most-expensive and least effective method of spraying is with a pump-up back-
pack or a high-volume single-hose type sprayer.
SPRAYER TANK
Sprayer tank should be made of plastic, fiberglas, stainless steel or of a material
that does not promote rust. NEVER use a galvanized metal, rusty, dirty and/or
contaminated tank.
It is best to always clean and rinse the tank before use. Water used to fill tank
should be from a clean source, NOT from rusty, scaly pipes or galvanized metal
tanks.
CAUTION: NEVER SPRAY OTHER CHEMICALS OR FOLIAR PRODUCTS WITH SONIC BLOOM. NEVER
APPLY CHEMICALS OR FOLIAR PRODUCTS WITH THE SOUND UNIT RUNNING. CONSEQUENCES
INCLUDE: SLOW GROWTH, WILTING, DYING, DEFORMITIES, AND SOUR TASTE.
Sonic Bloom Sound Units
The patented sound-generator units produce an oscillating frequency, which is an
essential part of the Sonic Bloom process. It is the synergistic-action between the
formulated-nutrient and the frequency range of the sound unit which produces the
exceptional results.
All sound units have a photocell switch, allowing automatic daylight operation, and
auto switch-off in the darkness.
All sound units are sealed, electronic, completely self contained, having ceramic
speakers, no moving parts, and are designed for all-weather operation. They have
leads with battery clips fitted (red to positive and black to negative), and require a 12-
volt D.C. battery.
Sonic Bloom Sound Units Continued
The Model 1 sound unit (greenhouse and small truck farm unit) requires only a 12-
volt car battery. All other units should use a deep
cell type battery (marine). All models are small,
and can be held in one hand, so they are portable.
It is important to be sure that all battery
connections are clean, and the jaws are free from
rust. A poor contact can reduce the volume and
effectiveness of the sound unit.
Model I Sound Unit (Greenhouse and/or Small
Truck Farm)
This sound unit will handle 1/5 to 5 acres (.08 HA
to 2 HA). It has an on/off switch with adjustable volume control, but no over-ride
switch. Please ensure that the unit is at full volume when spraying. For normal day-
to-day operation, volume can be reduced. If you can hear the sound clearly, your
plants can too, and that should be sufficient. On spraying days, however, maximum-
volume is essential.
The Model I sound unit is best placed near one-end of the crop area and facing into
the crop. It is a good idea to periodically relocate the Model I sound unit to the
other end of the crop area. When spraying, always run the sound unit at
maximum-volume for total-stimulation. The sound unit must be playing for at least
45-minutes in the area to be sprayed, prior to and while spraying. After spraying, the
sound unit should be left running for the rest of the day, where possible, and for a
minimum of two(2) hours. If possible, run sound units daily from dawn to 10 A.M.
This will help your plants to absorb dew and nutrients from the air.
Model II Sound Unit (Tractor Model)
The Model II Sound Unit is a twin case
tractor/sprayer model which can also be pole
mounted. The unit will handle 25 - 40 acres (10.5 HA
to 16.5 HA). It is designed to be placed on the
tractor/sprayer with one speaker case at the front
of the tractor and one at the back of the sprayer
while spraying.
Sonic Bloom Sound Units Continued
It may be left on the tractor/sprayer and parked at the area that was sprayed with
the unit left running for at least two(2) hours after spraying, or can be pole-
mounted for use on non-spray days. It has a photocell override switch, allowing it to
be used at night. It is powered by a 12-volt D.C. battery (preferably a deep cell-type
battery).
Model III Sound Unit 7-Speaker Unit
The Model III Sound Unit will cover from 40 -60
acres (16.5HA to 25HA) and should be pole
mounted above the crop height and in the
center of the area to be covered. Sound is
generated in four directions. It also has a
photocell override switch, allowing it to be used
at night. NEVER use this Model III unit on a
tractor/sprayer unit. It is powered by a 12-volt
D.C. battery (preferably a deep cell-type
battery).
Sound Units in General
The patented sound units produce an oscillating frequency which is an essential
part of the Sonic Bloom process. It is the synergistic action of the formulated
nutrient and the frequency range of the sound unit which produces the exceptional
results. All sound units have a photocell switch allowing it to automatically turn on
at sunrise and shut-off at dusk.
All sound units are electronic, completely sealed and self-contained with ceramic
speakers, have no moving parts and are designed for all-weather conditions. They
are light-weight and can be easily held in one hand.
Photocell By-pass Switch
Both the Model II and Model III sound units have a photocell by-pass switch
located near the battery clip end of the wires. It is designed to by-pass the
automatic photocell so the unit will run at night and not be dependent on a light
source. This is helpful in hot weather and drought conditions as it allows growers
to run the sound units at night to take advantage of the cooler evenings and dew
conditions. Sound units should be shut off when the temperature is 92 degrees
Fahrenheit (33.5 degrees Celsius) or warmer.
In drought conditions growers have run the sound units at night, spraying from 16
to 80 gallons of water per acre (146 ltr. to 730 ltr. per HA) and prevented plant
stress for up to 10 days. (The sound helps plants to absorb the water at a higher
rate than normal). Any sound unit should NOT be run for more than 18 hours in
any 24 hour period.
Mixing the Sonic Bloom Nutrient
Be sure to follow these simple instructions carefully and in the following
sequence:
1. Ensure the Spray Tank is Empty and Clean.
2. Shake the Sonic Bloom nutrient container VIGOROUSLY.
3. Pour the measured-amount of Sonic Bloom nutrient into the tank. DO
NOT exceed the maximum strength of 256 :1 ( 5 ltr : 15 ml) (More is NOT better).
4. Add Water with Force. This is Essential. A high-pressure hose is ideal.
5. Do Not use galvanized or rusty tanks.
6. Do Not Mix any other chemicals or fertilizers with Sonic Bloom, and
do not allow sound to be played while applying any other chemicals or fertilizers.
7. Do not Pre-mix the nutrient or leave standing without agitation for over 3 hours.
8. Mix only enough mixture to cover the area that is to be sprayed. Do not save left-
over mixture.
Sonic Bloom Check List - Prior to Spraying
Spraying Conditions
Best conditions to spray is early morning - on a calm day, when dew is still present
on leaves. Ideally, you should spray between the hours of 5:30 A.M. and 10:00 A.M. If
temperatures are too cold, spray in the late afternoon. Never spray in the middle of
the day in sunny or windy weather conditions. Overcast, foggy, or humid
conditions can extend the spraying-window beyond 10:00 A.M.
Weather Conditions
The air temperature should be above 52-degrees Fahrenheit (11.5 Celsius) or
warmer, but not above 92 degrees Fahrenheit (33.5 Celsius).
Spray Particles
Aim for a spray particle size of no larger than 150 - 200 microns, and spray at high-
pressure, if possible.
If hand spraying, the sound unit should be within 75-feet (23 meters) of plants being
sprayed.
If spraying by tractor, a Model II sound unit must be mounted front and back and
on during all spraying.
Sound units have been running for at least 45-minutes in the area to be sprayed.
If you do not have a separate tractor sound unit, remove the field unit and mount it
on the tractor once you have filled the spray tank, and leave the tractor and
sprayer unit parked in the area to be sprayed with the sound unit operating. Allow
at least 45 minutes for the sound to simulate the crop before spraying, and ensure
the spray mixture is agitating.
GROUND LEVEL

to facilitate supporting pole and unit
properly.
Place one pivot pin (top pin) through
the base and pole close to top of
base poles and secure permanently.
Removable pin is to be placed close
to bottom of pole going through both
the base poles and upper pole.
Removable pin should have some
type of security lock pin attached to
end for safety.
Attachment of sound unit will vary
with type of sound unit.
Wires can be attached along center
pole to ground level for battery hook-
up.
This system has been found to work
effectively by our growers and
assures easy mounting and handling
of sound units.

black clip to the negative terminal and plugging the other end into the power jack.
Or you can hook the speaker up to your house current by using the power jack and
supplied transformer.
MODEL I PLACEMENT
For small sized plots where Model I sound unit(s) are used, they should be placed either
on corner poles of the garden,
kiddy-corner from each other, or on
a side facing towards the garden.
These also should be left on daily
and are also controlled by a light
sensor to turn on at dawn and off at
dusk. For larger areas, it is
advisable to rotate the sound units to
the opposite sides or kiddy-corner
about every two to three weeks to
ensure the sound is reaching every
plant (see figure above). It is a good
idea to periodically relocate the Model I sound unit to the other end of the
greenhouse. Model I unit is best placed near one end of crop area and facing into the crop
when spraying. Always run unit at maximum volume for total stimulation.
The sound units need to be on 45 minutes prior to spraying Sonic Bloom nutrients and
played at least 4 -5 hours (2 hours minimum) after spraying is completed. Just prior to
spraying, the Model I sound unit(s) should be placed with one on the front of the spray
unit facing forward and one one the back facing to the rear. If only one sound unit is
available, place it on the back of the spray unit facing the rear. After completing spraying,
place the sound unit(s) back on the post(s).
Model I sound unit(s) can be
placed in any of these locations. If
the area is large, rotate the sound
unit(s) to opposite sides every
2 -3 weeks.
SPEAKER INSTRUCTIONS MODEL II UNIT

PHOTOCELL BY-PASS TOGGLE
SWITCH
Use the by-pass switch when
sound unit needs to be run during
hours of darkness or before sun-
up. Be sure the switch is returned
to the off position after completion of early morning spraying so that the unit operates
normally. (Do not exceed over 18 hours of operation in a 24 hour period). In normal
operation, this switch should be in the off position.
USE OF SPEAKERS
Mount unit with photocell up. The eyelets can be used to attach unit to pole or tractor. You
can mount one speaker in front of the tractor (facing forward) and the other speaker on
the back of the spray unit (facing the rear). Also, when pole mounting the speakers, you
can face them in different directions to increase coverage area per unit.
Hook clips to the 12 volt battery. Red clip to the positive (+) terminal and the black clip to
the negative (-) terminal.
The sound unit on the sprayer should be turned on at least 15 minutes prior to spraying.
Do not spray when the temperature is below 52 degrees F. Spraying early morning when
the dew is still on the plants, is the best time. Do not spray during the hot part of the day.
MODEL II PLACEMENT
This unit is the twin case tractor/sprayer model
which can also be pole-mounted and will cover
between 25 and 40 acres when used in this
manner. It should be pole-mounted 15 to 20
feet above the ground in the center of The area
to be covered. The twin boxes should be
mounted bock to back. If the unit is to cover
less than The 25 acres, it can be mounted
lower, but always ensure that the unit is above crop height.
SPEAKER INSTRUCTIONS MODEL III UNIT
(LARGE FIELD MODEL)
PHOTO CELL
Automatically turns unit on at sunrise and off
at sunset.
PHOTOCELL BY-PASS TOGGLE SWITCH
Use the by-pass switch when sound unit
needs to be run during hours of darkness or
before sun-up. Be sure the switch is returned
to the off position after completion of early
morning spraying so that the unit operates
normally. (Do not exceed over 18 hours of
operation in a 24 hour period). In normal
operation, this switch should be in the off position.
USE OF SPEAKERS
Mount unit with photocell up. The mounting brackets can be used to attach unit to pole. (A
2 X 4 board will fit between speakers). This unit is designed to handle larger acreage and
should be placed in the middle of the field to be covered by the sound.
Hook clips to the 12 volt battery. Red clip to the positive (+) terminal and the black clip to
the negative (-) terminal.
The sound unit should be turned on at least 30 minutes prior to spraying. Do not spray
when the temperature is below 52 degrees F. Spraying early morning when the dew is still
on the plants, is the best time. Do not spray during the hot part of the day.
MODEL III PLACEMENT
The Model III speakers should be
mounted as close to the center of the area
to be covered as possible.
This 60-acre unit should be pole-mounted
15 - 20 feet (4.5 m to 6 m) above the
ground in the center of the area to be
covered. Sound is generated in four
directions.
When spraying. the unit should be left running and a Model II should be tractor mounted.
If you do not have the Model II, then remove Model Ill from the pole and tractor mount It at
the highest point on the vehicle as possible.
NOTE:
WHEN CHECKING THE PHOTOCELL SWITCH OPERATION. DO NOT PLACE A BARE
FINGER OVER PHOTOCELL YOUR FINGER WILL ALLOW LIGHT THROUGH AND UNIT WILL
NOT TURN OFF. INSTEAD PLACE A CLOTH OR SOLID OBJECT OVER PHOTOCELL.
NEVER USE A 240 VOLT- 12 VOLT MAINS ADAPTER OR MAINS 12 VOLT SUPPLY.
FREQUENCY CAN CHANGE, YET MAY NOT NECESSARILY BE NOTICEABLE TO THE
HUMAN EAR.
BATTERIES
Keep battery charged and use a deep cycle battery if possible. Units draw very little power
and a large battery should operate a 60-acre unit (Model III) for 3 to 4 weeks on automatic
daylight operations. Because the units draw few amps, they will run a battery completely
flat if not recharged. Sound becomes softer and Is not easy to detect by ear, so it is
recommended to recharge batteries regularly. Solar panels are ideal when connected to a
battery and extend the life of the batteries.
Discharge Rates of Sound Units
Model I Greenhouse Unit (1-5-acre) 150 mitliamps
Model II Tractor/Sprayer Unit (25-40-acre) 400 milliamps
Model III 7-Speaker Unit (60-acre) 450 milliamps
TIPS FOR SUCCESS
If possible, run Sound Units daily from dawn to 10:00 a.m. This will help plants absorb
dew and nutrients from the air.
Shake SONIC BLOOM Nutrient bottle vigorously prior to adding correct amount of Nutrient
to EMPTY spray tank.
Add water with FORCE to produce foam; high-pressure hose is ideal. Do not draw water
from rusty pipes or galvanized tanks. This will render SONIC BLOOM less effective. The
pH for all water used with Sonic Bloom should be a pH of 6. Citric acid can be used to
reduce the pH. Sound unit should be played daily throughout season where possible.
Ensure spray mix is at correct dilution rate (see program). If you wish to use a wetter/
sticker/ spreader such as Citowett, use 1/2 the minimum label rate and the normal amount
of Nutrient.
Do not apply stronger rates than listed, and aim for sufficient leaf coverage top and
bottom.
Spray at optimum time and in optimum conditions. Spray early a.m. while dew is still on
the leaves and ensure air temperature is above 55 degrees F. Complete spraying by
10:00 a.m. Overcast, high-humidity conditions can extend spraying window. If conditions
are too cold, spray in late afternoon. Nutrient needs to be on leaf surface as long as
possible before drying. When spraying SONIC BLOOM, leave Sound Unit running for
remainder of day where possible. If not, then at least for a couple of hours.
Do not premix the spray or add other chemicals or foliar products. Apply spray as soon as
possible after mixing; do not leave standing for long periods.
TIPS FOR SUCCESS CONT.
In drought conditions, growers have run Sound Units at night and sprayed 20 to 100
gallons of water per acre and prevented plant stress for up to 10 days (Sound Unit helps
plants absorb the water).
In drought or hot conditions, Sound Units can be run at night to take full advantage of
dew, and switched off in the mornings when dew has evaporated. Do not run units for
more than 18 hours in any 24-hour period, and not in temperatures above 92F (33.5
degrees C.).
The battery connections must be kept clean and the jaws free of rust. A poor contact can
reduce the volume and effectiveness of the unit.
Larger units have an override switch, allowing unit to run of night. However, units should
never run more than 18 hours in any 24-hour period. The override switch is to allow night
spraying in warm climates and to take advantage of night dew in hot or dry conditions. In
extremely hot and dry weather, night Sound Unit operation is preferable to all-day running.
The override switch will run unit continuously (this is fitted to Model II and Ill units only).
Sound Unit must be operating in the area to be sprayed for at least 30 minutes prior to
spraying (45 minutes is optimum).
After spraying, unit should be left running for remainder of the day (or night). Minimum
requirement at least 2 hours.
It is recommended that Sound Unit be tractor mounted for outdoor spraying. Maximum
volume at point of spray delivery is essential. Model Il is recommended for this purpose to
offset the considerable noise a tractor and sprayer generates (Model I is inadequate for
outdoor tractor spraying with air blast sprays).
It is not essential to run Sound Unit on days when SONIC BLOOM is not being applied.
However, it is advantageous to operate Sound Unit(s) each morning while dew is on the
leaves and in the late afternoons until dusk.
For indoor growing in warm, humid conditions, there is a considerable advantage to
running Sound Unit during the day.
Timer switches can be purchased to run Sound Units automatically for a few hours in the
morning and the last couple of hours of daylight in the early evening.
Switch Sound Units off in temperatures above 92 degrees F (33.5 C). For Models II and
Model III, disconnect lead.
NOTE:
NEVER OPERATE SOUND UNIT WHEN FOLIAR SPRAYNG CHEMICAL OR OTHER FOLIAR
PRODUCTS THAN SONIC BLOOM. CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE CAN AND HAS OCCURRED
BY NOT FOLLOWING THIS SIMPLE RULE. SYMPTOMS INCLUDE SLOW GROWTH, PLANT
WILTING, POOR TASTE OF FRUIT, DEFORMITIES AND EVEN PLANT DEATH.
NEVER MIX OTHER CHEMICALS OR FOLIAR PRODUCTS WITH SONIC BLOOM AND
NEVER FOLIAR APPLY ANY CHEMICAL WiTH SOUND UNITS RUNNING. IF YOU ARE DUE
TO APPLY A FUNGICIDE AND A SONIC BLOOM SPRAY, APPLY THE SONIC BLOOM SPRAY
FIRST FOLLOWED BY THE CHEMICAL SPRAY.
Sonic Bloom Seed Germination Instructions
Seed Propagation - Benefits
There are tremendous benefits to be derived from using Sonic Bloom during this crucial
period. They include:
Faster Germination - Many growers have reported greatly accelerated germination
times with many different types of seeds which leads to earlier maturity and crop
turnaround times.
Higher Strike Rates of seeds and cuttings - This is especially the case with difficult-
to-strike seeds and cuttings. Growers consistently report germination and cutting rates of
between 95% and 100% when using the Sonic Bloom process.
Much Heartier Seedlings and Cuttings - Possess the ability to withstand difficult
conditions and disease pressure. Cotyledons are usually thicker, and treated seeds and
cuttings develop more lateral branching of root mass.
SONIC BLOOM treated seeds and cuttings produce plants which are more receptive to
the SONIC BLOOM process much sooner.

Method II Seed Soaking ... Directions for direct soaking seeds in potting soil
containers.
Large flat trays or wooden boxes can be used to directly start seeds in a potting soil
medium. Pre - made flats can be purchased or economical large wooden trays can be
made.
1. A large flat tray is needed. One made of wood would be made as follows: Take a 4
foot by 8 foot by 1/2 inch exterior grade sheet of plywood. Screw or nail 1 inch by
three inch sides on plywood with the three inch side as the vertical (Dont forget to
screw all corners together for strength).
2. Place finished flat box on a level place where it is out of the way and will not be
disturbed. Fill the flat with sterile potting soil to a depth of 4 inches. Using a straight
edge make small grooves about 1/2 inch deep across the width of the flat in the
potting soil.
3. Space seed in groove with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch space between seeds and cover with
about 1/4 inch of potting soil. Continue to plant seed in flat with rows of seeds about 1
inch apart until box is completely planted.
4. Mix Sonic Bloom concentrate with water at a rate of 1/4 ounce to a gallon of water
( 10 mls to 5 Liters) to make enough mixture to water to where the seeds can be
thoroughly soaked in the potting soil where they were planted.
5. Use the mixed solution to water and soak the seeds in the flat for the first time. A
Model I sound unit should be placed close to the flat and played for the next eight
hours to help the germination of the seed. One sound unit will cover many of these
flats if the flats are setup within close range to one another.
6. After the first eight hours of sound, the sound should be played daily for at least eight
hours. Plants should be watered as needed with plain clean water.
7. After plants emerge from ground spray them with a mixture of Sonic Bloom at the rate
of 1/4 ounce per gallon (10 mls to 5 Liters) of water twice a week for three weeks.
8. For the next three weeks spray them twice a week with a mixture of 1/3 ounce of
Sonic Bloom nutrient to a gallon of water (10 mls to 4 Liters)
Seed Germination Instructions cont.
9. Transplanting or distribution of seedling stock to gardens can be done anytime
throughout this process when seedlings reach transplanting size.
Transplanting
1. Containers can be pre- made pea-pots, styrofoam or paper cups, or any home-made
type container.
2. To transplant the plants, gently separate seedlings from the row being careful to leave
a small amount of potting soil around the roots. Fill an individual container about three
quarters full. Place extracted seedling gently into container and fill around the plant to
container top, being sure the plant is placed slightly deeper into soil mix than it was
growing in original container. Gently press the soil around the plant to ensure the
plant roots have no air left around them. Water plant to where soil is well moistened
without being wet and soggy.
3. Spray seedlings according to Sonic Bloom instructions.
General Instructions and Information
The ideal place to germinate any seed would be in a greenhouse type setting. An area
where weather conditions, shade, pests, and/or other factors can be more easily
controlled and the seedlings protected.
Either method for germinating seeds will work, but there are advantages and
disadvantages when comparing each method.
Method One:
Advantages:
Allows for the most positive way to ensure the seeds are totally soaked with Sonic
Bloom. Seeds can be divided into individual containers of equal amounts to allow for
direct distribution.
Disadvantages:
Seeds are harder to handle when wet and may need to be dried before planting for ease
of handling.
Method Two:
Advantages:
Seeds are placed dry into potting soil growing medium.
Plants can be transplanted into individual containers for distribution.
Disadvantages:
Transplanting of seedlings will take extra care to ensure root mass is handled properly.
Potting soil:
All the above instructions are based on the fact the a high quality, good grade, and
sterile potting soil is to be used. Sterile potting soil is very important to be sure any
chance of disease is controlled from the start.
Seed Germination Instructions cont.
Containers:
Please be sure that any container used for planting seeds and/or seedlings has
drainage holes in bottom to allow for excess water to drain off.The large plywood flats
are an inexpensive way to do large amounts of seeds at one time.
For inexpensive individual containers, they can be made from used newspaper and one
piece of masking tape.
ADDITIONAL NOTES ON SEED PROPAGATION:
If seed is to be dry before planting with machine, seeds can be laid out on black plastic
sheeting and broomed in the sun until dry.
If seeds are very small e.g., flower seeds, they can be planted into cell trays, watered in
with a mixture of Sonic Bloom at the rate of 1/4 ounce per gallon (10 mls to 5 Liters) and
sound played daily.
With large seed in broad acre situations, a mixture of solution can be made up, 1/2
poured into top of sack full of seeds. Then seed can be tipped into another empty sack
and the remaining amount of solution added. In this way, the seeds become damp with
nutrient and are easy to put into seeder. Operate the sound unit for 8 hours in close
proximity to seeds prior to use.
The pH for all water used with Sonic Bloom should be a pH of 6. Citric acid can be used
to reduce the pH. Sound unit should be played daily throughout season where possible.
SONIC BLOOM AND CUTTINGS
If possible, the plant from which cuttings are to be taken should be sprayed with SONIC
BLOOM and sound applied a day or so prior. A SONIC BLOOM-treated parent plant
normally produces superior cuttings.
As with seeds, a 500:1 (one-half label rate) solution of SONIC BLOOM Nutrient and
water should be made up (l0 mls SONIC BLOOM per 5 liters water).
Cuttings should be sprayed at least once a week-preferably twice a week-until they are
established.
Once established a 250:1 (label rate) solution mix can be sprayed every 7 to 14 days.
The frequency of spraying can be altered to suit the propagator depending on what rate
of growth or health maintenance program desired.
REMEMBER:
WHEN MIXING THE SOLUTION, ALWAYS FIRST SHAKE THE NUTRIENT
BOTTLE VIGOROUSLY BEFORE POURING INTO AN EMPTY TANK
THEN ADD WATER WITH FORCE.
TRANSPLANTING WITH SONIC BLOOM
SONIC BLOOM-treated seedlings, cuttings, and even mature plants and trees generally
will transplant much more successfully. Often, plants such as tomatoes and annuals will
not even wilt when transplanted in warm to hot conditions when the SONIC BLOOM
process has been implemented. Plants and trees are quick to re-establish themselves
and are not usually susceptible to disease.
As with all plants and trees, they should be sprayed with SONIC BLOOM prior to
transplanting.
Shrubs and tree root balls and seedling trays can be soaked in a 1:500 SONIC BLOOM
Nutrient and water mix prior to planting out (preferably the night before).
SONIC BLOOM and water solution can be watered in when planting trees and shrubs.
Orchards have been able to successfully transplant young and old sensitive trees out of
season using this technique of spraying trees before removal and watering in when
replanting.
SICK TREES AND SHRUBS
While we can't guarantee 100% success in this area, many sick trees and shrubs have
been rejuvenated by periodically watering in a solution of 1:500 SONIC BLOOM and
watering around the root zone.
REMEMBER:
WHEN MIXING THE SOLUTION. ALWAYS FIRST SHAKE THE NUTRIENT BOTTLE
VIGOROUSLY BEFORE POURING INTO AN EMPTY TANK THEN ADD WATER WITH
FORCE.
SONIC BLOOM TREE SPRAY PROGRAM
NURSERY STOCK
Nursery trees should be sprayed weekly during non-dormancy periods. On this program,
a dilution rate of 1:400 1/3 oz. (10 mls to 4 liters water) SONIC BLOOM Nutrient per 1
gallon of water. Be sure to mix solution as per directions.
Sound Unit should operate at full volume for 45 minutes prior to spraying.
Run Sound Unit during spraying at full volume and at the point of spray delivery (tractor
mount unit). If spraying by backpack, or pump-up sprayers Etc., and using a Model I
Sound Unit, ensure that you move the unit as you move through the nursery for
maximum absorption.
After spraying, Sound Unit can be left running all day, if practical. If not, Then at least
run the Sound Unit for a 2 of hours minimum.
Be sure to spray according to SONIC BLOOM spray instructions, i.e.. time of day,
placement of Sound Units. Etc.
It is advantageous to operate Sound Unit daily a few hours from daylight and also in the
late afternoon. Trees will absorb nutrients from the air during these times. If conditions
are very dry, operating Sound Unit in foggy or rainy periods can be very beneficial.
ESTABLISHING YOUNG TREES
TIMBER / NUT / FRUIT TREES
For rapid proportional growth and earlier production, trees can be sprayed once per month
during non-dormancy periods for maximum effect. Recommended dilution is label rate of
1:256(390 mls SONIC BLOOM Nutrient per 100 liters of water). Sufficient coverage on
both sides of leaf surface is all that is required. SONIC BLOOM in ideally suited to low-
volume spraying.
MATURE FRUIT AND NUT TREES
There are two optional spray programs: one a 5-spray program, the other a 7-spray
program. The 7-spray program is the one we recommend for fruit and nut frees
experiencing SONIC BLOOM for the first season.
On the program, additional spray periods in the weeks prior to harvest can be applied if
increased size, maturity, or higher brix levels is desired.
7-SPRAY PROGRAM FOR MORE FRUIT/NUTS
First Spray: Pre bloom
Second Spray: Petal tight (tight cluster)
Third Spray: Full bloom
Fourth Spray: At 40% petal fall
Fifth Spray: 2 weeks after the abortion stage (fruit drop)
Sixth Spray: 3 weeks later
Seventh Spray: 3 weeks later than sixth spray
7-SPRAY PROGRAM FOR LARGER FRUIT / NUTS
RATHER THAN MORE FRUIT / NUTS
First Spray: Pre bloom
Second Spray: Full bloom
Third Spray: 2 weeks after fruit drop stage
Fourth Spray: 3 weeks later
Fifth Spray: 3 weeks later
Sixth Spray: 3 weeks later
Seventh Spray: 3 weeks later
5-SPRAY PROGRAM
First Spray: Pre bloom
Second Spray: Petal tight (tight cluster)
Third Spray: Full bloom
Fourth Spray: At 40% petal fall
Fifth Spray: Post abortion stage
For larger fruit/nuts, higher brix levels, induced maturity, additional sprays
can be applied at two to three weekly intervals thereafter.
SONIC BLOOM GRAPE SPRAY PROGRAM
The following programs are recommended for rapid. balanced vine development, earlier
production, higher production, excellent brix levels, and enhanced disease and frost
protection.
NEW PLANTINGS
To promote early plant growth and root establishment, SONIC BLOOM can be sprayed
every 7 to 10 days, or three times per month of a dilution rate between 450:1 and 640:1.
We have seen some amazing growth when this program has been implemented in
conjunction with a standard fertilizer program. Vines grow rapidly, filling out the wire and
possess a large root structure. Even slow-to-grow varieties demonstrate rapid, balanced
growth.
Mixing instructions: 5 to 6.75 oz. (150-200 mls) SONIC BLOOM per 26 gallons
(100 liters).
Dilution Rate: 480-640:1.
Suggested Water Rate: 30 gallons (75 liters) per acre; 185-200 liters per h/a.
Always ensure that the dilution rate of between 450:1 and 640:1 is maintained and that
there is adequate spray coverage of all leaf surfaces, top and bottom. If conditions ore
really dry, higher water rates are advised.
Growers have reported outstanding success with rapid, proportional growth on a wide
range of table and wine grape varieties. Vigorous and normally slow-to-develop varieties
have responded to The SONIC BLOOM equally as well.
ESTABLISHED VINES
Dilution Rate: 400:1 - 8.5 oz. per 26 gallons (250 mls per 100 liters)
Suggested Water Rates: 20 gallons (75 liters) per acre (185 liters per h/a)
Nutrient Cost at these Rates: Approximately $ 19.50 per acre per spray
For additional size increase. brix level increases, induced maturity, additional sprays
towards harvest time are strongly recommended.
BRIX LEVELS
Growers report brix level Increases between 1 and 3 points after each application of
SONIC BLOOM Nutrient.
5-SPRAY PROGRAM (minimum)
First Spray: When shoots are 3 to 5 long
Second Spray: Pre bloom of light petal stage
Third Spray: At full bloom
Fourth Spray: At approx. 40% petal foil
Fifth Spray: Approx. 3 weeks after fourth spray
8 SPRAY PROGRAM (recommended)
SAME AS ABOVE, PLUS THREE EXTRA SPRAYS, 3 WEEKS APART.
Procedures for Corn Treatment
Sonic Bloom can increase corn stalk and root development, increase the size and number
of fully developed ears on corn that has the genetic capability to produce multiple ears.
Your corn seed supplier can inform you of the type of corn seed that has these
capabilities. Use the proper soil amendments along with the Sonic Bloom system for the
best results.
The treatment of corn with Sonic Bloom includes treating the seed prior to planting with a
solution of Sonic Bloom nutrient and sound. It also includes applying the Sonic Bloom
sound and spray system at proper times during the growth cycle.
Treating the Corn Seed
To promote germination and enhance early development, the following seed treatment is
recommended. The treatment consists of soaking the seed in Sonic Bloom nutrient at the
rate of 1/4 oz. nutrient to 1 gallon of water with the sound playing for 8 hrs prior to
planting. Directly after the 8 hour soak, plant the seed as normal.
Instructions for mixing nutrient
The nutrient should be mixed with water in a clean bucket or pail 5 gallon or 20 litre. Add
the nutrient first and then add the amount of clean rust free water with pressure force in
the amounts formulated below. Nutrient should always be added first and should froth
when water is applied with pressure. Five gallons or 20 liters of mixture should treat 1100
pounds or 500 kilograms of seed.
Instructions on Methods to Treat Corn Seed
Full seed bag method (50 lb. bag)
1. Take one empty bag and line it with a plastic liner.
2. Take a full bag of seed, cut the top open, and pour in 16 oz (500 ml) of Sonic Bloom
mixture.
English and Metric Formulas for Mixing Soak

3. Stir with broom handle or simular.
4. Then pour the corn seed from the full bag, into the empty bag with the liner in it.
5. Add another 16 oz. (500 ml) of the Sonic Bloom mixture and stir with broom handle.
6. Place on back of truck and continue to method with each additional bag of seed until all
bags have been treated and placed on truck.
7. Place sound unit on back of truck, turn on and leave on for eight hours facing the
bag(s). Plant corn as normal, immediately after the eight hours. (Note: When using a
Model 1 sound unit, you will need to leave a light on close to sound unit, so photocell
activates the unit).
Smaller Amounts of Corn Seed
For smaller amounts be sure to have a plastic lined container large enough to hold the
amount of corn seed you want to treat. The above formulas with help determine the
amount of nutrient to mix.
Spraying after Planting
The first Sonic Bloom spray at the rate of 330:1 (1/3 oz per gallon water or 10 ml per 4
liters water) should be applied right after emergence of the cotyledons (primary first set of
leaves). Spray should be applied early morning, with the sound on 30 minutes prior to
spraying and remaining on for 3 - 4 hours minimum after spraying. When using
mechanical, self propelling and/or tractor pulled sprayers, a sound unit should be placed
on sprayer unit. The outside temperature needs to be 52 degrees Fahrenheit or above to
spray. Spraying in the early morning is the best, except in the very early spring when
afternoon temperatures are warmer. Spraying late afternoon about 4:00 PM in the early
spring is acceptable. As weather warms, then switch to morning spraying as normal.
When the first true leaves have emerged from seedlings, the second Sonic Bloom
application at the rate of 256:1 (1/2 ounce per gallon water or 15 ml per 4 liters water)
should be made. True leaf formation should have occurred more rapidly that it would have
without Sonic Bloom, also the leaves will be a bit larger and more translucent. As more
leaves develop they will continue to increase in size. The pattern of leaf veins, which can
easily be seen by holding a leaf up to the light will be far more complex.
Additional applications at the 256:1 rate should be applied every 7 - 10 days after the
second spraying, until 3 more sprayings are complete. Regular soil amendments should
continue to ensure a healthy soil. Good cultivation and weed control practices should be in
place during this time also.
NOTE: It is very important that the first two sprays be applied to the emerged corn within
the first 23 days.
Procedures for Bean Treatment
Sonic Bloom can increase overall plant, leaf, fruit, and root size for beans. It can also
increase yields and extend harvest time. When used to treat the seed it will increase the
amount of germination and reduce the time for germination. Be sure to use the proper soil
amendments along with the Sonic Bloom system for best results.
Treating the Bean Seed
To promote germination and enhance early development, the following seed treatment is
recommended. The treatment consists of soaking the seed in Sonic Bloom nutrient at the
rate of 1/4 oz. nutrient to 1 gallon of water with the sound playing for 8 hrs prior to
planting. Directly after the 8 hour soak, plant the seed as normal.
When a mechanical planter is used, it is best to treat seed with a direct injector system on
the planter as seed sprouting can occur in a much shorter time period.

5. Cover furrows with no more than 1/4 inch (.625 cm) of soil.
6. Place sound unit facing the planted area, turn on and leave on for eight hours. After this
eight hour period, sound unit should be set-up to run on its normal daily time pattern.
When Mechanical Planting with Powered Planter Unit
1. Planting of bean seed should be done as one would normally plant with a mechanized
unit. The only difference is that an injector type spray unit should be attached to the
unit so that the seed is sprayed as it enters the soil with a sound unit attached to
planter unit.. These attachments are available from most planter manufacturers.
2, Sound unit should be set-up on field for normal daily operation and be playing for at
least eight hours during and after seeding and then set-up for normal operation.
Spraying of Bean Plants
Bean plants should be three to six inches (7.5 - 15 cm) tall or long at the time of first
spray. The first Sonic Bloom spray at the rate of 330:1 (1/3 oz per gallon water or 10 ml
per 4 liters water) should be applied right after emergence of the cotyledons (primary first

Greater Stem Length e.g.. Callas. Sondersonias, Chrysanthemums.
Higher Color Intensity Applies to both fresh and dried flowers.
Cuttings, Seeds and Bulbs from SONIC BLOOM-treated plants often outperform the
parent plants. *
* Trent Nurseries Trial was done In a quarantine hot house In Christchurch, New
Zealand In 1994. The purpose of the trial was to observe the differences between sound
only, Sound and Nutrient, and overal effects on a wide range of potted plants and seed
germination. Plants were subjected to twice weekly sprays with SONIC BLOOM for the
first 4 weeks, then once weekly sprays thereafter.
HERBICIDE REDUCTION WITH SONIC DOOM
A remarkable additional benefit of SONIC BLOOM is what we refer to as the Sonic
"DOOM" factor. Simply stated, Sonic "DOOM" is The operation of The Sound Unit prior to
herbicide spraying of weeds. Sound-stimulated weeds increase their absorption capacity
by up to seven times. In this situation, half-strength herbicide con effectively equal or
better the normal kill rate.
Tests hove been verified by Acres USA That herbicide usage con be reduced by 50% to
75%.
DirectIons:
Mix 1/4 oz. (lO mls SONIC BLOOM per 5 liters water) of SONIC BLOOM nutrient with
every gallon of water, then add herbicide at half the label rate. The weed is essentially
tricked" into further absorption of herbicide because of the presence of the Nutrient.
Sound Unit should be mounted on tractor correctly.
Sound Unit should be running 45 minutes prior to spraying, during, and at least 1 hour
after application. Avoid spraying between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
Further reductions in herbicide rates are possible with experimentation.
FROST PROTECTION
If frosts are anticipated, a spray of SONIC BLOOM with the Sound Unit operating through
the night can greatly aid frost resistance. If unable to spray SONIC BLOOM in time, some
benefit can still be derived by operating the Sound Unit at night. The degree of frost
protection offered by the Sound and Nutrient program varies, with growers citing I to 3
degrees of protection. Avoid running the Sound Unit 24 hours a day by switching off unit in
the morning when units have been running at night.
One of the theories behind this unique frost protection technique is that the increased
sugar levels and the rapid stimulated translocatlon of the Nutrient by the Sound Unit
exerclses' the vine and induces production of plant sugars and alcohols. Alcohol does not
freeze. The area of protection afforded in severe conditions is egg-shaped and stems
outwards from the Sound Unit.
NOTE:
BE SURE TO SWiTCH OFF SOUND UNITS WHENEVER A FUNGICIDE, PESTICIDE
OR FOLIAR FERTILZER IS APPLIED.
