IKEA Catalog
The IKEA Catalogue App 2014 for Android and iOS will let you place, move and
share over 100 pieces of furniture in 3D AR. The app, downloaded by 8.5 million
users in 2012, uses the sensors of mobile devices to give 360- and 180-degree
views of rooms and 3-D furniture renderings directly into your home.
By any measure IKEA is an innovative brand and when they team up with Metaio,

After the success of the Audi eKurzinfo app for the Audi A1, Audi AG has
extended the availability to the new Audi A3. The new app can recognize over 300
individual elements of the Audi A3 from the insignia on the windshield wipers
and entertainment system to actual engine components under the hood in order
to return relevant how-to information or even virtual overlays of maintenance
instructions animated in real-time 3-D.

McDonalds McMission
The new Augmented Reality app, McMission McDonalds Germany, is a playful
approach to educating McDonalds visitors and mobile users about the companys
commitment to sustainability. The app consists of four missions that not only
educate users about McDonalds, but also encourage them to interact with the
app itself. From learning about renewable energy in Eco-Spinning, to practicing
proper waste disposal in Waste Dunking users can explore McDonalds various
sustainability initiatives. The games can be launched through scanning things
in McDonalds like a box of French Fries or images in the Sustainability Report,
available at certain locations.

Mitsubishi meVIEW
To visualize a unit exactly as it would appear installed in a customers home,
Mitsubishi Electric sales representatives simply place a 18-inch by 18-inch Post-It
Note marker on the wall where the unit should appear and launch the meVIEW
AR app on an iPad. When the user points the iPads camera towards the marker,
the product is automatically displayed to scale where the marker is on the wall. The
user can then tap to place any product on the same location and share a photo of
it via email with family or project decision makers.

AUDI A3 in 3D erleben
At the Audi Chefkonferenz in November 2012 Certified Developer Concepteers
GmbH presented an AR solution for the new Audi A3. At the event visitors could
scan a 3x3m AR Trackable with Junaio to experience a life-sized 3D model of the
new Audi A3 in real time. The virtual cars body and wheels could be modified by
using a configurator dash board that was part of the AR experience. Furthermore,
users could connect to other Audi mobile services: Download catalogue and Audi
configurator app, play the TV commercial or contact Audi AG. In addition there
were several more AR exhibition pieces to showcase features built into the new
Audi A3 (Audi assist, Audi MMI touch, Audi connect).
