1.1 INTRODUTION
This assignment is to analyze the computer component in the editorial department that
they use in collecting news, selecting news , editing news and as well as interpreting the
news, of Talk time which is a newspaper company which will trend to improvement
hardware and software application, also with significant support into techniques that will
hence technology. However, to explain the current mobile computers that can be used
in order to improve their day to day activities or to improve their capability in terms of
design methodology which can hence there production. This system can develop Talk
Time production in short period of time and generate all the necessary solution to solve
the entire digital track design problem.
The assignment recommends identifying the entire existing trend that occurs in the
computer environment or computer usage in the organization. Also the organization
need analyze on the architecture and brief explanation on the differences between
them.
As a system analyst the organization need excellent analysis with good proposal in
order to develop Talk time productivity by proposing excellent network infrastructure
with clear view difference with the old network system that is use currently. However,
talk time need proposal for new hardware and software operation system that can be
used for the proposed system. Also functional and the non-functional system are require
for the new proposal. Talk time as an organization want to know the cost of
implementation, technical capability, feasibility and schedule constrain of the proposal.

1.2 PURPOSE AND CHARACTERISTICS OF KEY COMPUTER
COMPONENTS IN THE EDITORIAL DEPARTMENT.

The editorial department of Newspaper Company is the heart of Newspaper Company,
which responsible for publishing of news and making editing of the news by using
computing device in carryout their activities. The department has many staffs and each
has his own responsibility. The staffs are typewriters who are responsible for type in the
department. The editors are responsible for editing the collecting news and the
department is control by the chief executive editor. The editor is assisted by lead
writers, columnists, cartoonists, photographers, reference librarians and others to bring
out the publication in a correct manner. The entire editorial use the entire computer
component in carryout their activities.
Computer component: computer can be describe as an electronic device that consists
of circuit that gives permission to data manipulation in binary format. And computer is
divided into two component which are hardware and software component. The
hardware component are device user for storing and processing data, while software
component are those set of program that process data or an information. Example of
hardware component basically there are five major hardware component of computer
which are as follows.

computer's sound card and speakers, and hard copies of data or information are output
which can be done via the computer's printer. Information can also be regard as an output
from the computers ports, for example, uploading music files to an MP3 player or other
device through USB

command in the computer system. Talk time company use single core cpu in performing

1.2.4 STORAGE DEVICES: This device orders to process information, in order to

temporary and permanent storage device. The temporary storage is the computer
memory used to hold information during processing.

Network architecture system: This is the structural and logical layout of network which
has transmission facilities, software and communication protocol which is capable of
collecting of computer component and data and infrastructure (wire OR wireless)

2.2 CLIENT SERVER:
Client-server this are set of computers that share network resources which act as a
server to each other over the network. In this system the computers operate
independently to the server in all the aspect. Client server architecture software
architecture can be said as the versatile and flexible in nowadays fast-changing IT
landscape. It can be said as modular in structure and relies on messaging services for
communication between components. This software were constructed or design to
enhance flexibility, usability, scalability, and interoperability. Software flexibility implies
the ability for a program to change simple way according to different users and different
system requirements. However, clientserver architecture allows the roles and duties of

known to each other only through a network. This creates an additional advantage to
this architecture: greater ease of maintenance. For example, it is possible to replace,
repair, upgrade, or even relocate a server while its clients remain both unaware and

2.3 Desktop: this is standalone system that represents desktop software application
that run single computer system whereby the computer stand as the server system and
is analyzed within the Klacwork developer tool and use in sharing information in
Klacwork server. And the computer system handles all data in the computer system
and maintains all the application in the system. which implement a set of network
protocol. Such protocols are a set of tools that allow the desktop computer not just to
access data elsewhere, but to participate in the computing milieu Much more intensely,

The suggestion network layout for Talk Time or network topology
In this case to use bus topology is more preferable because is recognize as the simplest
and primarily connection with local area network. Client can share idea or pass set of
information by the central cable which is regarded as the backbone of the network
system. This is the reason where only one transmitter can work at a time .However, the
Bus is capable of attaches to or detached from the network without distracting the
network system and bus is effective in connecting multiple clients together.
However, in Talk Time Company there are seven departments, in which every
department need to be connected to the network topology. In this case as earlier
suggested, bus topology is the best topology that can overcome the problem of Talk
Time Company.
Look at editorial department with five computers systems and a set of printer, scanner
connected in the bus topology network system and the administration department with
four set of computers using one printer and scanner device connected in the bus
topology. The accounting department with two set of computer printer and scanner
connected in the same line with storing department which has two set of computer and
one set of printer and scanner. The printing department is connected with two set of
computers and three printers and one scanner. The advertisement department and
circulation department in which the advertisement department has two set of computers
and printer and scanner , while the circulation department has two set of computers

cell and contain additional features for computing or personal digital assist , which is
capable of receiving email and sending email, edition office document and has an
operating system and has portable media player. Smartphones also built with high
capability to connect with Wi-Fi and broadband. These devices can be used in the
overall company for easy transfer of information among employee.
Tablet: These are type of mobile computing device that are touchscreen operating
computers that are capable of browsing and performing other actions of computer
system, Which use an operating system to perform it action. Tablet use LCD screen
which able user to write using special pen or stylus for writing and was external
keyboard. This device can best be used in the administrative department because it is
more comfortable and can enable them to work wherever they are.

Notebook computers: There are mobile computing device that are portable and small
in size which make it easy to carry. Notebook computers device use a deferent
techniques, known as flat-panel technologies, to produce a lightweight and non-bulky

structure and shapes of the LAN. Bus as the proposed system is more capable of
overcoming the problems of the company and each department of the company which
will be listed below
It is generally analyzed that bus conform, suitable for temporary networking
system and bus topology is the simples and the cheapest topology to install than
star or any other type of network topology.
Bus is faster than ring in team of performance with low or nodes network traffic
but less compare to star.
Bus topology correspondence with lot of nodes network and high traffic network
than ring and the star has less correspondence than ring.
Bus topology it is more easier to troubleshoot than ring and lesser than star
topology
Bus topology it is more easier to setup and modify than that of ring but almost
equivalent to star topology
In terms of problem case by cable connection or nodes inefficiency case by
network. When bus topology experience failure when the cable of the bus is
affected total breakdown will occur, but has no effect in the case of node. While
in the case of ring topology the cable and the node failure only affect the node in
particular but the failure in the hub or the switch can case total breakdown of the
system
In terms of size bus topology is more suitable in a small business or an office
while the star topology is more suitable for big business or environment, in the

sending of files is more flexible in wireless network than vie-email or burning to CD. The

Smartphones: This device was great function to offer to companies, which are a mobile
phone built with advance computing capacity which also has the feature of personal
digital assistant.in a company a newspaper company it helps in keeping event
organized, this can be done by setting remainder for a specific event and it create better

Electronic commerce. Electronic commerce has contributed in the collaboration of the
world business together by the help of technology. However, technology creates
awareness by globalizing the information collectively which gives the communication or
newspaper company to enhance their business by providing service to the hell word.

Network Hardware: Computer hardware are the physical component of computer
system and are different types of hardware that can be used in implementation of

work of project. Regarding the schedule constrain in Talk Time newspaper company the
schedule constraint will take up to two mouth and one week before the propose system
can be used in the organization.

business. The business can benefit from different aspect of it operation if the proposal is
been implement. The necessary hardware, software and networking system propose to
the business will welcome development in the company. This can be achieve by using
hardware, software, mobile computing device and networking system with the equal
capacity that was mention in the above proposal are completely implemented. This is
because of the high capacity of the propose system which is high than the capacity of
the existing system.
There is need to consider current trend in business to compete with other business
around the world and bring best method of production. The current trend introduce e-
commerce which help and collaborate all business together. By using this process a set
of business can produce and give what service to world in general. This will simulate the
speed of production and service to customers and this can only be achieve by using the
above proposal to overcome problems in the system and enhance production
enormously in order to compete with the big and profitable companies around the world.
The use of mobile computing device will speed up the productivity system and it is more
comfortable for the staff to use. These devices bring easy information sharing because
there are small in size and can be carry along.
