Within your proposed field of study, please describe your specific area of interest and your
related experience. How would this program relate to, and build on, your past education,
training, and/or experience.
I am interested in early childhood education. As for my studies, I will focus on early
childhood development, especially how to manage child with delayed development and how
to avoid that condition, So, I want to learn about this topic during my study in CCI Program
United State. The reason why I am interested in this topic is because Indonesia has many
problem with child development where almost 30% child under 5 years old get this problem
and it is not known until the child enter the kinder garden or elementary school.
Furthermore there is also a problem among general practitioner about how to intervention
the delayed child development conditions. To get a better understanding how to manage
this problem, it is important for me to do comparison.

Having study in this filed will give me a vision about how to manage the delayed child
development issue. Furthermore in my opinion there is some similarity between Indonesia
and United State on it. By comparing the management of this issue, I hope I can have
valuable knowledge and understanding, so that it can be implemented in Indonesia to
manage the problems. With my degree as a bachelor of medicine and my experience in local
NGO at child care department, I think it will relevant and make me more easier to learn in
this program. Relate to this program I also hope it will help me to manage child problem
that I find during my internship student in Indonesian hospital.

2. Please describe your future professional and personal goals. How would this program help
you achieve these goals.
I have very high curiosity and passion on how child can growth and develop well, so all child
will have good future without problem that will decrease their quality of life later.
Furthermore as a person I want to see all people and everyone have a great child with no
lack in term of mental or physic, as the better child health will lead the better future of the
country become.

For my carrier goals, I want to be a pediatric doctor. I have a strong commitment to realize
that more early we detect and intervene the child development problem , more high chance
the child being normal later. Of course, to be a good doctor and commit with this concept, I
have to increase quality of knowledge. Besides being pediatrician, in the future I want to be
the head of health department in my state because nowadays we cannot just play role from
the bottom, we must go on top of government so we will have power to control the policy
that manage the child health for better Indonesian child future.

When I read this program, I found the CCI has a comprehensive curriculum on early child
education, especially in early child development that why I highly motivate to continue study
in CCI program. Furthermore Indonesia government has a focus to improving child health
status with MDGs 2020 program. With my experience studying in CCI program will make me
more actively contribute to success this program.
