In the beginning the Gods made the world. Then they created the Elder Races to
care for the world. The Titans were taught celestial magic. The Dragons were taught
arcane magic. And the Elementals were taught nature magic.
Then the gods made Humans. They charged the Elder races with teaching humanity and
guiding them on this world. Humans were not able to use magic at all. Then the Gods
left the world to travel to the stars to create a new world. ut they told their charges they
would return one day.
The elder races had been taught by the gods that they could mi! their blood with that of
humanity and could create new races.
"ot all of the elder races were good and #ust though they did not $ossesses free will li%e
humans did. Instead they were were created so that they gravitated toward one of the
trinity of nature. &hich humans later called good' neutral and evil. The elder races do
not $erceive the trinity of nature as the same way as humans do though. To them the
trinity of nature is divided between creation' balance and destruction. There were si!
continents on which the elder races could claim territories and humanity were not great
in number in those early days.
The Elder races lived in harmony at first as they believed the gods were watching them
and would return soon.
(rom the smartest' strongest and most ca$able humans the elder races selected men and
women and created new races. The titans created the giants and the lesser titans. In time
these chosen ones bred with humans and one another. Those that were of the as$ect of
destruction)evil became %nown as the ogre*ogulrie+ while those of the as$ect of
balance)nuetral became %nown as the gnomes*gnosem+. And the as$ect of creation)good
became %nown as dwarves*dwaranev+.
The elementals created the (ae and these in time bred with one another and humanity.
(rom the fae came the good)creation natured elves*ellivren+. The evil)destruction
natured)orcs and the nuetral)balance halflings*halingefs+
The dragons created the Dragon%in from which with breeding with one another and
humans there came the races. Evil)destruction ,olobis' neutral)balance -i.arian'
creation)good Dracanis.
*there was no cross breeding bac% in the ancient days of the elder races or the $rogenitor

Eventually these races bred with humans enough that humans %now as the scions those
with only a small amount of blood of the elder races in them. ut this allowed these
humans to wield magic which humans without any ancestry could not.
The scion races became the leaders of nations that were under the guidance of the elder
races. They taught humans of the gods that created all and built tem$les as instructed.
The elder races discovered though that while humans could not wield magic they
$ossessed a $ower the $rogenitor races did not/0 the dragons) titans)elementals will be
from here on referenced as the $rogenitor races and the human hybrids will be called the
elder races01they $ossessed souls which they were not even aware that they had. This
enengy within all human would survive the short lives of humans and would be able to
travel to the $lanes from which the gods hailed from. &hat intrigued the $rogenitor
races though was that humans could give of $ieces of their soul and the energy would
then later re2$ool. It was through the tem$le to the gods that toe $rogenitor races
discovered that humans were giving off this life energy and that this energy would then
be sent to the $lanes from which the gods originated. After learning how this $rocess
wor%ed the titans' dragons and elements began building tem$les to themselves at which
humans would worshi$ and this collective life energy em$owered the many of the
$rogenitors ma%ing them more $owerful than they already were. As centuries became
mellinia and the gods did not return the dragons' titans and elementals re$laced many of
the tem$les to the gods with tem$les to themselves. &hich in turn gave them godli%ee
$ower.
Eventually the old balance of the three as$ects was undone as the dragons and titans
began to believe that their way guiding the world was the best way. The elements for the
most $art was neutral and focused more on the duties that they were given by the gods
and maintaining the balance of the natural world.
Eventually this $hiloso$hical struggle develo$ed into real conflict and war.
This war was said to last more than a century and eventually such devastation was
caused as the godli%e titans and dragons with some elemental allies faught battles in
which magic not seen since the creation of the world and the $rogenitors races was
unleashed. "ot all titans and dragons $artici$ated in this war and had tried to bro%er
$eace. ut it wasn3t until the battles grew so fierce that the magic unleashed was
beginning to alter the world that the neutral $rogenitors decided that the warring entered
the fray. An alliance of elementals' titans 4 dragons intervened during the greatest battle
of the war fought yet. They attac% both armies and in what would become the final
cataclysmic battle of the war. A battle which bro%e continents and unleashed a
malestorm of magic that would forever change the world. It was during the dar%est hour
of this battle that the gods were have said to return they ended the battle but it was to
late what had been done to the world could not easily be undone.
The gods through their avatars destroyed many of the tem$les devoted to the $rogenitor
races across the continents. 5any of the titans' dragons and elements had been %illed
during the war and of those that survived not all were willing to relin6uish their $ower.
7ome did battle with the avatars ma%ing the $rocess of trying to restore balance to the
world even harder. 7ome of the $rogenitors were %illed but the avatars $ower on this
world was not what it was when they had created the $rogenitor races. A few of the
avatars fell in the chaos that followed the $rogenitor war.
The $lanar beings though could only be sto$$ed though not %illed it would ta%e time and
$ower before they could bring new avatars to wal% our world.
The $rogenitor and elder races were decimated from the war and in the aftermath
humanity began to rise. The $rimordial magic unleashed throughout the war was also
starting to ta%e its toll on the $lanet. Humans that had no ancestory were now able to
wield new magic and there were creatures that lived in the world that had been changed
by the magic as well. &ith many of the elder nations in ruins anarchy gri$$ed the world
but as the old lay in ashes new nations and $eo$les began to emerge. A thousand years
would $ass before order and a new civili.ation would emerge.
