PROJECTS SUMMARY

1. “Development of Waveform Audio Device Driver on WinCE 5.0 with complete CETK
Testing”, at Jiyoun Systems Software (P) Ltd, Aug 2009 – Till date

Tools and Technology: WinCE 5.0 Platform Builder, C Programming.

Project overview-
The project comprises of designing a Stream Interface Audio Device Driver for SoundBlaster16
compatible audio card. The PDD portion of the Windows CE driver controls the SoundBlaster16
compatible audio card. The PDD (Platform Dependent Driver) is responsible for communicating with
the audio circuit to start and stop playback and/or recording and initialize and de-initialize the circuits.
While the MDD part of the wave driver exposes the standard stream interface functions by
internally calling the PDD. The stream interface functions allow other software modules to interact with
the devices as if they were files. The driver is designed as a WinCE Dynamic Link Library. Alternatively
entries are made in registry to load the driver automatically at boot time. I have written a WinCE
application to manually Load & Unload this driver. Finally a Test DLL was created, to test the driver
through Tux Engine, through which the driver was loaded & tested for the standard interfaces.

2. “Developed a Virtual Mobile Simulator to provide a testing framework for Modem

associated Applications” at Jiyoun Systems Software (P) Ltd, Dec-3-2008 – jun-23-2009

Project overview-

This project implements a Virtual Mobile Simulator on a development workstation which can be
made to perform all the tasks as the Mobile Phone does. It is a dialog based application which
represents a Virtual Mobile. The Mobile Modem is connected to the application running on the PC
via Bluetooth & the Modem is accessed by Serial Communication. AT Commands are implemented
which are sent to the Modem & to which the modem responds. This Virtual Mobile Simulator does
Call Dialing, Call Hang, Call Accept, SMS Send, SMS Receive & SMS Read with continuous Call &
SMS monitoring. Thus one can access the Mobile & do the normal tasks, without touching the
Mobile Equipment, through the PC.

3. Developed a Bluetooth Entertainment Server Application using BlueSoleil’s SDK”,

at Jiyoun Systems Software (P) Ltd, jun-11- 2008 - nov-5- 2008

Project overview-
This is a VC++ application that interacts with various mobile phones through BT environment. It made
a search on all the neighboring mobile phones those are in the range of 15meters. It sends them a
request message to connect with the server. If mobile accepts the message from the server, it starts
receiving various entertaining stuff from BT Server through Bluetooth wireless connectivity
mechanism. We implement entire Bluetooth communication flow as follows.
 Searching the mobile phones.
 Pairing up the mobile phones.
 Browsing services and Profiles.
 Connecting to a Service Profiles.
 Pushing Images automatically from server to each mobile phone,
 Handling events from Mobile phones.
 Releasing the threads and resources.

This application creates a chatting environment between client and server. Some headers
files and library functions are included. First of all the server code is written and then the client after
which communication is done.
