Environmental Ratings
Arta antennas, including mounts and radomes, where applicable,
will withstand the simultaneous ice and wind conditions specified in
this document. All antennas are designed according to EIA
Standards RS222E and RS-195C.

Temperature Range: -55C +70C
Except when noted otherwise.

Corrosion Characteristics
Normal Corrosion Environmental:
Except where noted otherwise all antennas will withstand and
operate with a relative humidity up to 95% with salt mist and
industrial atmosphere.

Surface treatments.

Reflector Vinyl Acrylic Resin Coat. on outside exposed surfaces.
Aluminium feed: SurTec650 hexavalent chromium free passivation for aluminium.
Copper Alloy feed: Acid cleaning and Vinyl Acrylic Resin Coat
Steel Mount: Hot dip galvanized steel with minimum 120m Zink.
All screws, nuts and washers are made hot dip galvanised steel class 8.8 or stainless steel.
Extra Corrosion Environmental:
The antennas will withstand and operate with a relative humidity up to 100% with heavy salt mist and
industrial atmosphere.

Wind Forces
Wind effects on parabolic antennas and
support structures can be separated into two
force components and a twisting moment as
shown in fig. 1. The side, axial and twisting
moment forces shown in table 2 and 3 are
maximum values exerted on the supporting
structure. In every case, the value is the result
of the wind from the most critical direction for
each parameter. All forces are referenced to
the antenna mounting pipe.
