Each group of stakeholders has their own interest, it leads to the fact that sometimes, their

interests conflict with each other. In EVN telecoms case, there are many problems for the
company to solve the conflict between each stakeholder, which is the reason lead to its failure.
a, connected stakeholders
Employees
As I mentioned, EVN telecom has the advantages of doing electricity business before. But doing
electricity is different from doing telecommunication services. It is really hard for EVN telecom
when they bring the thoughts of doing electricity business (which naturally monopoly in
Vietnam) to telecommunication services (which has many fierce competitions). Almost EVN
telecoms employees come from the parent company, with the old thoughts and lack of training
they dont have enough skill to deal with situations and quite indifferent with customers.
Management
The advantages from human recourses and facilities from parent company are also the
disadvantages, there are too many managers come from both Electricity Company and EVN
telecom. These managers dont have the consent of ideals so they cannot uniform the run, and
the connections between each group are weak. It makes the solving incidents became slow and
complex.
b, Internal stakeholders
Customers
64 provinces and cities have electricity so EVN telecom can do telecommunication services all
over the country; this is the advantage for company to raise customers. At the first time, EVN
telecom was known as the business which has the high speed in rising customers. But the main
role of EVN is doing electricity business; their customer-caring systems are not strong like other
telecommunication companies so they lost customers by time. Moreover, the electric company is
the direct group which does both electricity business and telecommunication services while EVN
telecom is the main group which cannot take part as direct. EVN telecom cannot directly
communicate with customers and they only know through electric company. This leads to the
fact that EVN telecom cannot keep up with customers requirements and complains. They
claimed to be the company which has the worst customer-caring system in telecommunications
history.
Suppliers
EVN telecom is the business which uses CDMA technology in Vietnam. In order to use this
technology, they have to buy terminals from other supplier companies. Because EVN cannot
create good relationship with suppliers so the costs they pay for terminals are quite high that
make their products more expensive than others. In fierce competition of telecommunications
firm, EVN telecom can only sell products which have lower or equal costs compare to other
companies or they will lose customers. But the company keeps investing in terminals with high
cost while the number of revenue reduces day by day leads to the losses of EVN telecom.
c, External stakeholders
Government
ENV telecom achieves the objectives of government. The company has created many jobs for
society and improve intellectual by provide free telephone to mountainous and remote areas. In
addition, according to resolution number: 23/2009/TT-BTTT on the 20-July-2009, EVN telecom
supported 100% of telecommunication costs for the public telecommunication areas.

3, Explain the responsibilities of organization and strategies employed to meet them
We can divide responsible of an organization into two kinds: Social responsibilities and
Environmental responsibilities
Social responsibilities
Social responsibilities not only in maximize profits in the best interest of the shareholders but
beyond that its included: improving and protecting societys life and welfare
Like other organization, EVN telecom is one part of society, besides enjoying rights they has
responsibilities to society which interact to outside environment. EVN telecom took part in many
different events for poor and families which contributed to the revolution. In 2010, company held
the auction of VIP sim card (099.999.999) in order to raise funds for people in central who had
experienced flood. Company also supported money and food for people in Lai Chau. In 2011,
EVN telecom coordinated with student union in Ho Chi Minh City and published 30.000 free
maps for students who came to take the university entry exam.
Environmental responsibilities
When set up a business, every company has to obey the environment laws and takes part
regularly in environmental activities. Through production process, the company has to take care
about environmental aspects such as: pollution, climate change, green house. However, ENV
telecom is a telecommunication company which is not produces things affect to the environment.
This means that EVN telecom doesnt have the direct of environmental responsibilities and
specific strategies to employ. However they have the strong voice of communication to speed out
the information in protecting the environment which can be seen as an indirect way to take the
responsible.
