My expectations to the course

CE 140 1P, Fluids of Mechanics is the study of behavior of fluids when
subjected to force or movement. It is divided in to major parts the fluid statics and fluid
dynamics. That being describe my general expectation for this course is to learn all
about fluids and to understand the theories about how fluid behave. I expect this subject
to give me techniques on how can I tackle or solve some problems that I might
encounter in making design. Further I expect that I would learn the basic about fluids of
mechanics and that the laboratory experiments/exercise will help me understand much
better why or how does it happen. Also I am expecting that I would able to solve most of
the problems about fluids like kinematics of fluid flows and fluid dynamics, hydraulic
loads, flow through orifices, nozzles, venturimeters, weirs, and other flow meters, and
etc. I also expecting that I get to familiarizes with some of the equipment or apparatuses
used in this course as some of them might be helpful in the future. For my professor I
expect him to impart me some of his knowledge all about knowledge. Further I expect
him to give me techniques on solving problems about mechanics of fluids. I also expect
him to make the course fun to study with. For my classmates I expect them to help each
other especially if one of us doesnt understand the lesson very well. Further I expect
my classmates help the professor in making the class interactive.

Goals

My goal in life is to own a construction company. To achieve it I have to first
finish my college degree which is Civil Engineering. Then I have to job experience so
that, I could have the skills and know-how in building a structure. I also plan to take up
graduate programs that specializes in management so that I would know how to
manage my own company. I would like also to have my own research team. So that I
could find ways to make constructing building cheaper but at the same time strong. I
also want to help the own country solve its problem like the floods, lack of electricity
supply and etc. Also I want to improve the agriculture sector of the Philippines by
improving the irrigation system building strong greenhouses and encouraging some
financially poor family to get back in farming. Financially I want to have an income that
enable me to have a self-sustaining life. Also some of the excess money I have. I would
like to donate them to an organization the helps family/community that is not blessed
financially. Also I want to be professor some point in my life so I could share my
knowledge and experience to future engineers of our country. Lastly my goal in life to
have my own family.

Strengths and Weakness

I believe that life is about recognizing your strength and weakness. In recognizing
both you may improve the way you decide in important life decisions. It also helps you
to recognize and overcome your weaknesses.

One of my greatest strengths at work that I have recognized would have to be my
ability to observe and adapt. I tend to observe and absorb a lot a student, it makes me
able to comprehend quickly when relied an information. In grouping I am good leader. I
possess some of qualities of a good leader like the ability to manage my own group. I
am also good in speaking in a crowd since I easily get comfortable in speaking in a
group people. Lastly I am good listener. I tend to like listen to what to people could say
in topic that we discuss, it helps to have a broad spectrum of ideas that I could use
when it is time to us it. As for my weakness it my work rate. I tend to be lazy always
doing the work a day before its submission or deadline. As a result I always get not so
high rating than I would like to be. Also one weakness is sometime I easily get irritated
and impatient. As a result I sometimes easily overlook some of the important details that
I need to do.
