This project highlights the versatility of Nu Flows products that can be customized to meet the requirements of any

job. Nu Flows Nu Drain liners can be custom made to handle transitions and bends in pipe systems without thinning
or bunching. In addition, Nu Flow installers have the ability to pull the new pipe or repair to the exact location in the
system using any entry point for launching.
Project: Pipe rehabilitation with a custom-made transition liner for a failing fountain return line by Nu Flow Licensee,
Nu Flow St. Louis.
Customer and Site: 30 Old Governors Place, St. Charles, MO, a new construction mansion located on bluff
overlooking Missouri River valley.

System: A fountain return line consisting of 6 SCH 80 PVC and 3 SCH 80 PVC.

Problem: The exact location of the leak is unknown but was believed to be at a bushing located in the cast vault
for pumps and controls.
Circumvention: If the customer had not chosen to rehabilitate the system with Nu Flows Nu Drain product, the
project would have never been completed (as stated by the General Foreman).
Solution: First, Nu Flow St. Louis cleaned the pipe to make an abrasive surface for the epoxy-saturated liner to
adhere to. The liner was custom made on site with a 3 to 6 transition with a total length of 10 feet, this showing
the versatility of Nu Flows products. Nu Flow St. Louis then saturated the transition liner with a high-temp epoxy to
withstand chemicals by using rollers to evenly distribute the epoxy through the felt liner.
Once the liner was wet-out it was installed through the 3 pipe in the vault since it was the only reasonable access
to the complicated fountain system that created much inaccessibility. The bladder inside of the liner was then
infated and left to harden. Once hardened, the bladder was defated and removed, leaving behind a new pipe within
the existing pipe free of issues.
