with 60 aggregate operations across the UK. We have a wide customer base, delivering everything from a one-off load to local builders to high prole projects such as the London 2012 Olympic Park and the M1 Junction 25-28 widening programme. We are based in Leicestershire at Bardon Hill, Coalville, where we have operated since the 1850s. Bardon Hill Quarry is one of the companys ve super quarries, the others being in Somerset, another in Leicestershire plus two in Scotland. These quarries each produce over 1 million tonnes of crushed rock each year. In addition to utilising road transport, we also have facilities to distribute materials by rail, river and sea around the UK. This takes hundreds of thousands of tonnes of aggregate and crushed rock off our road network, saving both carbon and cost.
