2. Define the geographic scope
3. Followed by a Macro Level Analysis (such as a Porters Five Forces Analysis)

Market Value Analysis and Segmentation
1. The market size in terms of value (last 5 years and if available a forecast)
Explain the growth, decline, peaks and troughs
2. Also, give the value by the segment and create a pie illustrating the contribution

Trend Analysis & Competitive Landscape
1. What are the growth drivers and challenges for the industry
2. What are the leading trends in the industry and how will they affect the market
development in the coming years (positive or negative)
3. Is the market consolidated or fragmented?? (Mention the leading players and
their market share, at the end a SWOT analysis of the 3 largest companies)

Future Outlook
1. How is the industry expected to develop in the coming future
Both in terms of market size, changes in business models, change in
competitive landscape (M&A activities)

1. Includes organizational strategies like New Product development, geographic
expansion, restructuring, etc.
Issues and Challenges
1. Various macro level issues and challenges faced by the company and its response
to the same
Financial Analysis
1. Analyse the key financial figures over the last five years, and explain the
movement, peaks and troughs. Some financial figures could include:
Revenue and % growth
EBITDA and % margin
Net Profit and % margin
2. The data will be derived from and interpreted using the annual report and
company news articles


3. Process Analysis

Visit the identified Company and study a specific department/process and take into
account the following aspects:
Which Department/ are you studying and why?
Within the department, which process are you studying? How does this process
contribute to the organization at large?
Prepare a flow chart explaining the process, for example, below is the procurement
process of an organization.
Is the process efficient/not efficient? Why?
Explain the various synergies/ inputs that this process/department derives from other
departments.
Give recommendations on how to improve the process, re-draw the flow chart after
incorporating your suggestions. Explain how the new flow will help increase efficiency in
the system
