Supplies
Fingering weight yarn in white, yellow, orange and black
Size 1.5 circular or doublepoints
Tapestry Needle
This pattern is written for magic loop, needle1 is back needle 2 is front. Charts are repeated
on both needles unless otherwise directed.
Directions:
With black cast on 30 stitches and join in round bein careful not to twist. Work cuff chart:

Round 9: p15
What I am now about to tell you to do may seem odd, but trust me it works. Turn
your work inside out by pushing through the center of your needles.You will be
looking at the wrong side of your work and the direction of knitting has been
changed as needle 1 and 2 have reversed positions. Slip the last stitch from
needle 2 to needle 1 and knit together, continue in knit until 1 stitch

needle 2 to needle 1 and knit together, continue in knit until 1 stitch
before the end of needle 2, make 1, continue to the end of the round in knit. (30 stitches)
Knit 3 rounds black and begin chart for leg:

Turn heel
Row1 (Right Side): slip 1, k9, ssk, turn.
Row 2: slip 1, p5, p2T, turn.
Row 3: slip1, k5, ssk, turn,
Repeat rows 2 and 3 until all live stitches have been used. (7 stitches remain)

Gusset:
Changing to white pick up up 8 stitches along left side of heel flap. Knit across 15 instep stitches.
Pick up 8 stitches from right side of heel flap Knit across 15 instep stitches. Pick up 8 stitches from
right side
of heel flap and knit across heel and previously picked up stitches.

Working in leg pattern of stripes work gusset decreases as follows:
Round 1:knit.
Round 2: K1,ssk, knit to last 3 stitches on needle 1, k2T, k1.
Repeat rounds 1 and 2 until you have 15 stitches on needle 1, 15 stitches on needle 2.
Continue knitting every round until sock measure 2 inches from back of heel. Begin shaping toe.
Toe:
Changing to black:
Round 1: k1, ssk, nit to last 3 stitches on needle 1, k2T, k1.
Round 2: knit
Repeat rounds 1 and 2 until you have 10 stitches remaining. Graft these stitches together.
