Multimedia Project (15%)
Instruction:
1. You are required to submit a viral video before 12pm, Monday of Week 8.
2. The method to submit your Video will be explained by week 6 -7 via announcement of
MMLS.
3. The maximum length of the viral video should be 5 minutes.
4. This is a group work. Each group should consists of minimum 1 member to maximum 5
members. You must choose the group members from the same tutorial section. Cross
section selection is NOT ALLOW and 0 mark will be given if you do so.
5. Please read the evaluation rubric to understand the evaluation criteria.
6. You are required to submit the video to your tutorials lecturer.

Background of the Company Scenario
The year 2014 is well on its way to being Speed World Airways annus horribilis. Flight 88, shot down by
the unknown military in North Pole, is operated since year of 2000.

Problem Statement
After the tragedy, the business of Speed World Airways had dropped dramatically. Therefore, in order to
attract more people to take this airline and enhance the confidence with this airline, a viral video is
needed.
Suggest Solution
Speed World Airways would like to give away 50% 70% discount to any flight ticket that purchased by
using the Speed World Airways apps. A viral video should be developed in order assist and promote to
get the discount sale with Speed World Airways apps . You should think a way to encourage the user to
use the Speed World Airways apps in order to get the discount.
Destination
Speed World Airways flies over all major cities in South East Asia. The Headquarter is located at Kuala
Lumpur International Airport. Speed World Airways is a very well-known budget airlines company in
South East Asia region.
Question
Please help Speed World Airways to create a creative viral video. You may refer to the video below to
get some idea and the standard of the Multimedia Project:
Cebu Pacific's Rain Codes to boost bookings.
I encourages you to use and associate Web 2.0 apps in order to complete this Multimedia Project.
Evaluation
This Multimedia Project will be evaluated during the tutorial section.
The evaluator will be the tutorials lecturer.
The evaluation will be a private and confidential(P & C) session.
You are required to show case your video during the tutorial.
Remember in idea and solution is a serious offence and 0 mark will be given to the
group.

Creativity Ideas (20%)
The first step in grading a multimedia project is to identify the ideas that the project presents.
Not the pictures, not the words, but the ideas that are behind them. In a good multimedia
project, an idea or three will come through clearly.
If you cannot easily identify the main ideas that the project is getting at, it probably does not
deserve a good grade. Make a note of the main ideas of the project. Then evaluate these ideas
in terms of

For each piece of evidence, you should evaluate how well it is presented, judging its format, its

Technical Quality: How well did the evidence survive the process of digitization? Was its original

Logic (10%)
A good multimedia project is more than a collection of ideas and evidence .A good multimedia
project tells a story through a series of related facts that build upon each other, and takes the
audience through a thought process that increases their understanding. Sometimes this logic is
embedded into the multimedia project itself, but often it's provided by the presenter orally as
the project is shown to the audience. Sometimes referred to as the narrative or flow of the
work, this logic serves as the manifestation of the student's ability to think through the ideas
and to understand their meaning in a larger context. Some questions to help evaluate this
aspect of the project might be:

members from the same lecturer section.
3. In this proposal writing, the lecturer is going to play the role as your client who is the
director of Speed World Airways, Malaysia.
4. You are required to present your proposal.
5. Remember plagiarism is a serious offence. 0 marks will be given if you are plagiarise.
6. You are required to submit a complete multimedia proposal in softcopy (in pdf format) to
the lecturer after the presentation.
7. The date of presentation will be announced by week 10.
