Analysis of Data:

In the data that we obtained from the five trials of the experiment
with regards to velocity. To get the average velocity of the cart we
manipulated the position of the photogate on each trial and get the sum of
the velocity of the trials divided by 5 ((83.21cm/s + 81.30cm/s +
75.66cm/s + 73.81cm/s + 75.01cm/s)/5 = 77.80 cm/s), based on the
result that we get the velocities are almost close to each other because the
distance increases the time also increases. In the experiment with regards
to acceleration we also had five trials. We increase the height of the track
to increase the angle of inclination and by that the time of the cart passes
through the track decreases, because if the angle of inclination increases
the greater the effect of acceleration due to gravity. From this experiment,
we also obtain the angle of inclination of the track or slope by using the
height of inclination of the track and the length of the track (120cm), the
formula of getting the slope of the track is sin = Height/Length. We also had
an experiment of acceleration due to gravity by using picket fence. This
experiment also consists of five trials to get its average acceleration. The
picket fence was dropped vertically passing through the photogate. In the
experiment, the acceleration obtained by the smart timer must be
approximately 980 cm/s
2
and must not exceed by 1500 cm/s
2
. In this
experiment we also compare the actual value of acceleration (980 cm/s
2
) to
the experimental value or the average acceleration (988.1 cm/s
2
) and we
obtain 0.8265% as percentage of error.

Conclusion:
Kinematics is a study of motion describe by velocity and acceleration.
In the experiment we determine the carts average velocity by manipulating
the position of the photogate that affects the displacement and time. I
conclude that distance is directly proportional to time, because if the
distance increases the time also increases and to obtain the velocity the
distance must be divided to time. We also conduct an experiment about
acceleration due to gravity. We used cart as the object of the experiment
and we determine its acceleration by adjusting the height of the track to
change the angle of inclination. We also used picket fence to determine the
acceleration due to gravity by dropping it vertically passing through the
photogate. I conclude that if the inclination of track increases time
decreases its also the same as dropping the picket fence vertically,
because the higher the angle of inclination, the greater the effect of
acceleration due to gravity.
