A. Class:- IX
Divide the class into five groups asks them to select any one the
following topics and collect information from different Newspapers
over a period of seven days.
1. Legislature-Parliament
2. Executive-PM and President
3. Judiciary-Courts
4. Political executive-MP’s and MLA’s
5. Permanent Executive-Civil servants
Task – 2 Interview
This is a group activity. Divide the class into 2 teams – Opposition
& Ruling party. Both prepare questions and answers on respective
minister’s performance on various issues which ruling party has to
answers. Teacher will act as the speaker, evaluator.
SECTION – B
During and after the administration of tasks teacher will find out
the learning gaps among the learners and take the remedial steps
as given below.
3. Summary of diagnosis
Teachers will find out the reasons for learning gaps while
talking to each child.
CLASS IX ( Chapter-3)
Political science
Divide class into three groups. Group 1 will represent social groups
present in S Africa, which again will have two sub groups (blacks
and the whites).
Once the teams are made they would make their presentations.
Divide the class into groups. Each team will be assigned a country.
Once they are prepared, they will present themselves in class.
The group has to showcase picture of the leader, along with the
National Flag and depicting map of the concerned country on the
Blackboard.
Teachers will find out the reasons for learning gaps while
talking to each child.

Task – 2 - Debate
Collect information related to educational qualifications of MLA’s of
your area/ constituency and share data in class and hold debate/
discussion on whether educational qualification should be a sure
criteria for contesting election.
Task – 3 Collage
Make a collage of caricatures /cartoons showing drawbacks of
Indian electoral system.
E. Criteria of Assessment
At the end of the task the learners were able to
1. adequately present the information/data they had collected.
2. make adequate use of the Newspapers and other resources.
3. involve all the members of group in presentation.
4. interview any leader of political parties while collecting the
information.
5. follow the code of conduct.
6. draw any connections between actual Lok sabha or Legislative
elections.
7. campaign effectively, relate their party symbols and spread
awareness voters rights.

Divide the class into six groups and each group will be given one of
the following Fundamental right to work in detail and make Power
point Presentation.
1. Right to Equality
2. Right to Freedom
3. Right to freedom of Religion
4. Right against Exploitation
5. Cultural and Educational rights
6. Right to Constitutional Remedies.
For this each group will have to collect information on the selected
Right from various sources such as Newspapers, encyclopedia and
internet etc.
Task – 2 Collage Making
Group prepare a colorful collage in the classroom on
International/National cases of violation of Human Rights
