I am writing to express my interest in applying for the local tour guide position as
advertised in the University of Sydney website.

I am currently studying a Bachelor Degree in Tourism, and since most of the courses
are lectures in the university campus, I have not had much chance to put my skills
into practice. I would much want this opportunity to gain hands-on experience.

I have been achieving high distinction in all the courses I have taken in the
university. But I think that the most important things to consider is that I possess an
extensive knowledge about this city, I know it from corner to corner, from the well
known places to the underground hidden treasures. I have an ongoing personality
with an incredible ability to build relationships, which together with my knowledge
it makes me a suitable candidate for this position. I can help you to provide an
amazing and unforgettable experience for the tourists.

Although I have not worked in the tourism industry so far, I do have working
experience in which the skills obtained are completely transferable. I worked in a
school summer camp last year, where I had to organize daily activities for a group of
50 kids.

One of the biggest concerns in modern times is the decline of natality rate. This
number has been falling over the past decades and it seems to continue this way,
and will eventually lead to an aged population, causing several issues to the society.

The most productive population are formed by young people. Whether it is in the
field of labor work or scientific development. Without them, the society will not only
lack of qualified workforce but also the innovation of new technologies will be
affected, since they are the ones that are physically capable and with an innovative
mind to create new ideas.

With few new born babies and consequently an aged population, the demand for
effective healthcare system and medicine will increase, and clearly government
wont be able to provide, as these are mostly funded by taxes from the working
class.

Nowadays, many developed countries have been experiencing these problems and
some of the measures they have taken to prevent an escalation included financial
incentives to encourage people to procreate, improvement of the childcare system,
extension of leave entitlements and flexible migration programs. It is clear that to
prevent a global crisis, these measurements should be followed by every country in
the globe.

Due to the low natality rate, the society will be soon comprised by elder people.
This, in fact will create a chain reaction, starting with a deficiency of workforce and
therefore a unavailability to sustain basic services. Despite the current situation of
each country, there should be a strategic alliance between them and together
develop a master plan to prevent a global crisis before it is too late.























Education plays an important role in peoples life. It has been argue that everybody
should pursue a higher education degree, but it clear that there are many others
important role in the society that must be fulfilled.

Undoubtly getting a degree in a university provide the opportunity of achieving
higher salaries and status in the society, but for this its requires certain skills and
knowledge that not everyone possess. Nowadays, many young people are
experiencing frustrating livs, as they had been struggling to complete a degree that
they are not talented at, and therefore they just end up doing mediocre jobs.

On the other hand, it is also true that people should aim for big challenges in life, and
achieving a degree in a university is one of them. If people hadnt had this desire in
the first place, many technological advances nor disease treatments wouldnt have
been developed.

There are many jobs in the society that must be done by someone. For those people
that are not skilled at studying, they should try vocational training such as
carpentry, refrigeration, and electronics, among others, maybe, they find themselves
very good at performing these tasks. These jobs are as important as any other, and it
is proven by countries such as Australia, where trade people are respected and well
paid.

To sump up, although higher education is important for a country development, this
is not for everyone. Government should assure good working conditions for people
that work on trade, so more young people will not be afraid of pursuing a lower
education degree.
















Nowadays, many countries in the world are going trough a period of recession,
where some of its main industries have been declared bankrupt. In order to avoid an
escalation, governments should bail out these companies and together rebuild the
countrys economy.

To begin with, the unemployment rate will be increased, due to the fact that the first
measure that companies usually take when they are under finantial crisis is to lay
off employees. In order words, hundreds of people might be loosing their jobs.
Although these enterprises are privately owned, governments have the moral
responsibility to help them, not because of the owners but for the people.

However, this could be unfair to other organizations that might also need a helping
hand. Since equality is one of the rights that peoples claim, if government starts
helping some of them and leaving some others behind, disputes will certainly arise
from this.

A countrys major industries support its economy, if one of them fails, undoubtedly,
it will create a domino effect, affecting each of the compounds that form the society.
For instance, the financial crisis in the united states a couple of years ago, all started
with a hedge fund enterprise and ended up affecting many other industries such as
real states, banking, manufacturing, among others. If their government had not
helped the, they would not have recovered from the disaster.

In conclusion, when a company is under crisis, it is not only a problem that concerns
their owners but also to the society, as it leads to an increase in unemployment.
Therefore, this is an issue that governments should manage because they should loo
at the big picture and first assure employement and second avoid the escalation of
the problem.
