Lectures There are 15 lectures, each lasting 2*45 minutes. The lectures are not mandatory, but you are recommended to attend. PowerPoint presentations used in the lectures will be available for downloading in Live@Lund after the lecture (in most cases, the presentation will be available in Live@Lund no later than the morning before the lecture).
Seminars There will be two voluntary seminars. For each seminar, students will be divided into two groups (for further details on this, see Live@Lund). Active attendance gives you 5 points for each seminar, and these points will be added to your results on the written exam. N.B. Attending the seminars is not mandatory, but recommended.
Assignments You can also choose to hand in two written assignments (more information will be available in Live@Lund). You are welcome (and encouraged) to work in groups of up to three people. Given that it has been satisfactorily written, each assignment gives you 5 points which will be added to your results on the written exam. N.B. Handing in assignments is not mandatory, but recommended.
Examination In addition to the voluntary seminars and assignments, there is a mandatory written exam at the end of the course. The date for the exam is October 28. If you are unable to participate at that date, or if you receive a fail grade, there is a retake exam on December 9.
The exam gives a maximum of 80 points (regardless of whether or not you have attended seminars or handed in assignments). Thus, you can altogether get 100 points from the seminars (5+5), assignments (5+5) and written exam (80). Grades are given according to the following limits:
A (Excellent): 85 points B (Very Good): 75 points C (Good): 65 points D (Satisfactory): 55 points E (Sufficient): 50 points
Please note that points from seminar attendance and assignments only are valid the current semester.
