Jacopo Comin, his nickname is Jacobo Tintoretto, was a master of Venetian

paintings during the period of 1530s -1594. His father, Giovannis, job was a
clothdyer which influenced Tintoretto to be an artist. Toward 1546 Tintoretto
commissioned by church to paint religious scenes and he also painted mythological
scene and portraits of the wealthy. His paintings characterized by its muscular
figures, dramatic gestures, and bold use of perspective in the Mannerist style, while
maintaining color and light typical of the Venetian School. Tintoretto apprenticed
with Titian only for ten days because of his obvious talent - being very spiritiual in his
drawings; and it is believed that Titian become jealous of his being promising but
Tintoretto was admired for tutored by Titian and later he studied on his own in order
to reach his zeal. An inscription Michelangelos design and Titians Color evidenced
Tintoretto high personal ambition and his noble conception of art therefore, he
studied especially from models of Michelangelos Dawn , Noon, Twilight and Night,
and became expert in modelling in wax and clay method which afterwards helps him
in his paintings. Michelangelos were full of dreadful such as dead, nude and draped
subjects and Tintoretto suspend them in a wooden or cardboard box. In his early
works Tintoretto helped the young painter Andrea Schiavone in wall-paintings for
four years and succeded in obtaining commissions. The earliest mural paintings of
Tintoretto Belshazzar's Feast and a Cavalry Fight are both long since perished and
attracted by people. One of the Tintorettos early pictures presentation of Jesus in
the Temple and Christ with the Woman of Samaria still extant is in the church of the
Carmine in Venice. In 1546 ,Tintoretto painted for the church of the Madonna
dell'Orto three of his leading works - the Worship of the Golden Calf, the
Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple, and the Last Judgment . He took the

commission for two of the paintings, the Worship of the Golden Calf and the Last
Judgment, on a cost only basis in order make himself better known.Tintorettos next
leading works, Adam and Eve, the Visitation, the Adoration of the Magi, the
Massacre of the Innocents, were hired by the church Scuola di S. Rocco. The Miracle
of the Loaves and Fishes depicts the miracle work of Jesus did, he was able to break
the fish into multiple pieces and feed the more than five thousands of men and
there is an allusion to feeding Israel in the wilderness. The miracle narrates in John 6feeding the people, then walking on the water and talked by Jesus, The Manna
From Heaven. Even though, Tintoretto trained with various painters such as
Bonifacio Veronese and Paris Bordone he developed his own independent styledramatic and innovative and rarely sharing his methods. He used wax models in his
works in order to create a great detail and spatial perspective. This gaves his work
great depth of field which is unexpected for him. Additionaly, his uniqueness
mentioned by a philosopher Henry James : Surely no single paint in the world
contains more of human life; there is everything in it, including the most exquisite
beauty. Similar to Tintoretto , Paolo Caliari was an Italian Renaissance painter in
Venice, famous with his religious and mythological paintings and influenced by
Titian. Paolo Caliaris oil painting ,The Wedding Feast at Cana, depicts a miracle
story from the Christian New Testament like as Tintorettos work The Miracle of The
Loaves and Fishes. The architecture is classic Greco-Roman sets in a fanciful open
courtyard. In the story, Jesus and his disciples were invited to a wedding celebration
in Cana in the Galilee. Towards the end of the feast when the wine was almost
running out ,Jesus tells servants to fill glasses with water ,but later he changed his
mind and filled the glasses with wine again. In both Tintorettos and Paolos works

Jesus was followed by the great crowd in order to hear and see his miracles.
Following that both stories were shameful in The Wedding Feast At Cana running out
of wine represents social embrassement due to it affects in negative sense of Jesuss
reputation and in the other story crowd make Jesus anxious because he represents
the authority.
