UTSAV-2014

Introduction
1. A meeting was held at Chairman's office on 27th Oct'14 to discuss UTSAV activities. The
decisions taken during the meeting are enumerated in the suceeding paragraphs.
Committees
2. The following Committees would start functioning on immediate basis and provide
feedback to the Chairman weekly on progress towards UTSAV activities:(a) Chief Guest Committee:- The Chief Guest Committee would include Ms.Shilpa
Bhatt (Chief Co-ordinator), Mr.Nautiyal, Mr.Mukesh Srivastava and Mr.Vinod
Verma. The committee would identify and prioriatize list of Chief Guests and
Judges for various competitions and functions and put up to the Chairman by 05th
Nov'14. The judges should preferably be industry guests.
(b)

Auction of Stalls:- The Committee members would include Mr.Navjyoti Singh

Negi
(Chief Co-ordinator), Mrs.Shivani Joshi and Mr.Surinder. The process for auction
of stalls four for food and four others (total eight stalls) would be completed by
05th Nov'14.
(c) Sponsorship Committee:- It would constitute of Mr.N.S.Negi (Chief Co-ordinator),
Mr.Sachin, Ms.Shilpa Bhatt, Mrs.Pushpa Kataria and Mr.Nautiyal. A special drive
would be carried out to attain sponsorship for UTSAV. Feedback would be given to
the Chairman on 5th Nov'14.
(d) Certificate/Prizes:- Mrs.Sonika Saxena (Chief Co-ordinator) would look after the
preparation of certificates, procurement of prizes and distribution of the same.
(e) Budgeting Committee:- The Committee would constitute of Mr.Mohit Aggarwal
and Mrs.Shivani Joshi. They would be responsible for all financial clearances,
approvals, payments, bill clearances and maintenance of accounts. A final statement
proposed expenditure would be prepared by 5th Nov'14 and put upto the Chairman
for final approval.
(f) Hospitality Committee:- The Committee would constitute of Ms.Samridhi
Bahuguna (Chief Co-ordinator), Ms.Shivani Aggarwal, Ms.Sneha Bhadola, Mr.
Rajeev Sharma, Mr.Vinod Verma, Mr.Amit Bedi and Mr.Rukam Singh. The
Hospitality Committee would look after the arrangement of lunch/dinner and all
refreshment related to guests.
(g) Discipline Committee:- Dr.Santosh Singh, Mr.Ishwinder Singh and Marshals.
(h) Cultural Events Committee:- The Committee would constitute of Ms.Shilpa Bhatt
(Cheif Co-ordinator), Mrs.Shivani Joshi, Mr.N.S.Negi, Mr.Lalit Choudhary and

Ms.Salonica Dhaundiyal.

Conclusion
4. Utsav ia an important occasion to showcase the talent that exists at DBS. All faculties
will put their heart and soul in making the event a collosal success. Any clarification of
the same could be sought.
