2.1

Job Title
This offer for a job title of Structural Engineer.

2.2

Validity & Effective date of Appointment

This agreement is valid for a period of 2 (Two) year (s) commencing from the date of issue of your
Employment visa with the company.
The agreement may be renewed or substituted with a new agreement 2 (Two) months before its date of
expiry subject to mutual agreement in writing of both the parties.
In the event that the agreement has not been renewed or substituted on the due date, it will be deemed to
have continued on the same terms and conditions and it will be binding to both of the parties.

2.3

Probationary Period
The employee will be under probation for a period of three months.

2.4

Office Timings
The office timings are from 8.00 am to 1.00 pm and then from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm Sunday to Thursday,
Friday and Saturday the office will be closed. The timing may change / adjust as per the management
decision

Designation & Place of Work

The Employee is assigned to the Head Office at Wattayah, Muscat but subject to transfer to any part of the
Sultanate of Oman according to exigency of the service.

2.6

Scope of Work
a) Prepare concept designs for approval by Clients and concerned authorities.
b) Preparation of detailed Structural designs Reinforced Concrete and Steel Structure including all required
calculations and obtaining approval from concerned authorities using British Standards (B.S)/ American
Standard/ Euro Standards codes.
c) Coordinate with concerned Engineers in regards to detailed designs.
d) Preparation of tender documents in coordination with other engineers.
e) Meeting new and old Clients in a well presented professional manner with respect to design engineering
works etc.
f) Scrutiny of drawings.
g) Follow up all work progress related to designs and others in accordance to time schedule.
h) Site Visits and Inspections and to maintain properly all record of works according to company standards.
i) Liaison with Public Authorities such as Muscat Municipality and other Governmental authorities, with
Clients and Contractors.
j) To establish good public relations with Clients and the public in general as a campaign for attracting new
clientele and boosting business relations for the Company.
k) Follow up with outstanding payments.
l) Any other works considered appropriate with qualifications and experience.

2.7

Remuneration
a.

Salary:
The employee will be paid a Basic salary of R.O. 500 /- per month.

b. Accommodation Allowance:
The employee will be paid an Accommodation allowance of R.O. 350 /- per month.
c.

Other Allowances:
Transport allowance of

R.O. 150 /-.

Miscellaneous

R.O 100 /-.

A mobile phone connection will be provided with a cap of R.O. 30/d. Annual Leave:
The employee will be granted 30 days leave per annum and as per Oman Labour Law.
e.

Passages:
The employee will be granted Air Passage (Economy class) (Muscat/.. /Muscat) when
proceeding and returning from leave or one way home passage (Muscat/..) at the end of
his service.

f.

Medical Facilities:
You will be covered under the Companys Staff Medical Insurance and Staff Group Life Insurance. In the
case of Medical Insurance, the initial expenses of up to R.O. 25/- will be met by the employee
himself.

g.

End of Service Benefits:

ESB will be paid to the employee at the rate of 15 days basic salary for each year of service for the first
three years and thereafter at the rate of 30 days basic salary per annum for the years following the first
three years.
