What are the selection criteria for nominees?

Demonstrated excellence in their field:

o Sports and Adventure

o Arts and Culture
o Social/Community and Youth Services
o Entrepreneurship
o Environment
o Academic
Contributed to the Indian community and the nation.
An inspirational role model for the youth.

What is meant by “other contribution to the society”?

This refers to the nominee’s community involvement which could include mentoring
others, conducting workshops/talks dialogue sessions, initiating new programmes to
promote the field, being active members of boards, and performing community service
etc.

If someone has previously won the Award, can they be nominated again?
No. An individual can only be awarded the ROTARY KRUSHNAA PATIL AWARD FOR
YOUNG ACHIEVER once.

If I nominate someone and they do not win, can I nominate them the following
year?
Yes, you can nominate them as many times as you like so long as the nominee is aged
above 15 years age & 28 years old and below at the time of nomination.

Is there different award for different category? Can I nominate the same person
for consideration in more than one category?
There are two categories one Normal & other Physical Handicapped. One person
cannot nominate in both the Categories. Physical Handicapped Nominee needs to be
submit the Certificate, if available, else its Committee’s discretion to decide.

What is the maximum number of recipients each year?

RKPAYA offers a maximum of two individual awards each year. One for Normal & one
for Physical Handicapped.

How are the recipients selected?

The final selection is made by the RKPAYA Committee.

Can I nominate a team/group/organization?

No. RKPAYA is for Individuals Team/Group/Organization cannot be nominated.

Who has won the Award previously?

2009-2010 year is charter year for this Award. Therefore there are no award winners
previously.

How are award winners recognized? What do award winners receive?

Awardees will receive an RKPAYA trophy and a citation.

When are the awards presented to the recipients?

Recipients of the RKPAYA awardees receive their awards during the RKPAYA
Presentation Ceremony, which will be held annually on the 23rd May.

How does the Awards process work?

The public is invited to nominate a youth who has excelled in their field of excellence
as well as contributed back to the society.

An expert panel makes the final selection.

Award recipients are announced at a Media Conference in May.

Recipients receive their Award at the Presentation held at Bal Kalyan, Pune on the 23rd
of May.

When do nominations open and close?

Nominations are now open and will close at 6.00pm (IST), on 31st March 2010.

Who can nominate?

Any member of the public can submit nominations.

Who is eligible to be nominated?

Any Indian Citizen who is residing in India aged above 15yrs and below 28 at 31st
March of year of award. Please refere Criteria.pdf for more details.

How can I check if my nomination has been received?

Once the completed nomination form is received, you will receive a letter or mail
thanking you for your participation.

 Check you have given full address

 Check that your nominator has endorsed your nomination

 Check that you have given valid Email ID
