The integration allows for the initial transfer of all relevant data objects to SAP PMR, as
well as delta and ad-hoc transfers.
Effects on Existing Data
Customizing
You can now configure the outbound connectivity to SAP PMR in Customizing by
choosing Logistics - General -> Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Outbound ->
Maintain Control Parameters.
In addition, you can configure data replication framework settings for the SAP PMR
application in Customizing by choosing Logistics - General -> Merchandise Lifecycle
Optimization -> Outbound -> Data Replication Framework -> Configure Applications.
NOTE: In order to connect to SAP PMR, SAP delivers customizing settings via BC sets
which should not be changed.
Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)
For each outbound implementation, a BAdI is available. The BAdI method is called
immediately before the message is sent to the receiving system. The BAdI method gets
all internal data tables which are to be transferred.
The internal data tables are transferred to the receiving system as returned by the BAdI
without further consistency checks.
The BAdIs can be found in Customizing by choosing Logistics - General ->
Merchandise Lifecycle Optimization -> Outbound -> Business Add-Ins.

The IDoc size is defined by the maximum number of segments per IDoc.
Effects on Existing Data
This new business function does not affect existing data.
Effects on Data Transfer
Depending on the Customizing settings for the IDoc type in use, both the size and the
number of the generated outbound IDoc will change. Thus, the runtime and the
memory requirements of the ERP internal and external processes may also change.
For technical reasons, the generation of assortment list IDocs requires to allow for a
minimum size of 100 segments per IDoc. It is not possible to generate smaller IDocs of
this type. The other IDoctypes do not require a minimum size. However, it is only
possible to split the individual IDocs up, if the object being processed (such as an
article) has been completely prepared.
The following applies to all IDoc types: the maximum size of one million segments per
IDoc cannot be exceeded.
Effects on System Administration
If you activate this function, the size of outbound IDocs changes according to the
maximum size defined in Customizing.
Effects on Customizing
You make the Customizing settings for this function in Customizing for Sales and
Distribution, in
POS Interface -> Outbound -> Setting POS Outbound IDoc size
Please note that the Customizing activity Setting POS Outbound IDoc size is not
visible in the system until you activate the business function Retail, POS Integration
with IDoc Size Control.

In SAP retail systems, you will be able to hide variants, hide generic articles, or display
all articles in your search results. The functionality can be personalized and
preconfigured for each supported application.
Enhanced Material Search User Interface
You can now choose a Personal Settings button to personalize your settings for
material searches, material creation, and availability display options for different plants.
Price Catalog (SAP Retail only)
In SAP Retail systems only, you can now export your price catalogs (which contain
supplier product information) into the TREX index used for catalog searches by the
Enhanced Material Search function. This enables you to find supplier product
information that was imported and managed in PRICAT by using a search engine. You
can allow PRICAT to create a retail article master record using a selected search result
without a material master. This allows the simplified creation of Retail generic articles
with all variants.
Keyword Maintenance User Interface
In SAP retail systems only, you can now choose a Generate Keywords out of
Material Groups button to synchronize keywords assigned to Retail merchandise
categories.
Business Add-Ins (BAdIs)
An example implementation has been provided for BAdI W_CS_BADI_032 in
Customizing to create new buttons in the search result toolbar of the Enhanced
Material Search function, allowing you to trigger an event in the search result list. The
BAdI can be found in Customizing by choosing Logistics - General -> Material Master > Enhanced Material Search with Creation -> Enhancements using Business Add-Ins > Business Add-Ins for Material Search -> BAdI: Supply of Additional Function Keys in
Results Display.

This service is used to synchronously read the product assignments of a layout module
version in SAP Retail based on values received from an external program such as an
SOP. It reads product assignments for an existing layout module version and pulls
them into an SOP solution, and is triggered by an SOP solution.
o
This is an outbound service that mainly pushes the product assignments of a layout
module version from SAP Retail to SOP. It has the same message structure as the
Read MAP Assortment Store Layout Element service. This service is triggered by the
SAP Retail solution via the transaction Send to Space Management using SOA
(WRF_SEND_TO_SOP_SOA).

layout module version in SAP Retail, based on values received from an external
program such as an SOP, and returns the optimized planogram to SAP Retail. The
service can create new layout module version and update the assignments of fixtures
and products to the layout module version. This service is triggered by an SOP
