AUDIOCODE CONTROL SET QP-

V4.4
FOR DOUBLE LEAF GATES
V4.4

CAME Rev 1.0

2/2005

STANDARDS SPECIFICATION
The V4 audiocode control set is for double leaf swing gates using CAME MOTOR CONTROL. Sequenced operation of two motors with adjustable
240Vac motors. Automation components are designed by CAME SpA. torque. Adjustable motor run time, adjustable timed reclosure, and
to standard UNI8612. Intercom system is manufactured by Videx SpA. adjustable leaf delay. Timed re-closure is switch enabled.
The ZA4 control board and transformer are inside an insulated plastic RADIO CONTROL. 12 bit DIP switch set transmitters. Plug-on 433MHz
enclosure (S4339) secured closed with screws or a security seal. receiver head with SAW filter. Flash memory single code storage.
SAFETY. Single photocell safety circuit to re-open during closure in fault
Contents condition. Normally closed fail safe photocell logic. Limited torque.
1 off S4339 enclosure 1 off DIR10 photocell set POWER. 240Vac supply internally fused at 5A. Accessory output 24Vac
1 off ZA4 control board 1 off 4PC1 intercom panel not to exceed 16W loading.
2 off TOP432s transmitters 1 off 3021 handset INTERCOM. Modular surface housing containing an audio speech panel
1 off AF43s radio head and a two number digital codelock panel. Gate open from handset
or by codelock. Gate hold open by codelock. Optional exit button.

CABLE PLAN
cables
W7 & W8 The plan shows the site from inside the property. A duct is shown across the road
intercom containing a motor cable and a photocell cable. The junction box on the right may
be omitted for FERNI or FAST sets. Note the photocell cables pass through backs
of boxes then through the pier. Two intercom cables run through the pier from the
control box. W7 cable should then run directly to the handset in the house.
S4339

CABLE TYPES W3

The motor cable requires an earth, a neutral and two live

conductors with a current rating of 5A. Duct cable should
be waterproof. Final runs to ATI motors must be flexible.
FROG motors have a 2 metre cable (excl. earth) fitted.
Photocell cables W5 and W6 should be 4 core. Intercom
cables W7 and W8 should be 8 core. Handset cable W7
should be 0.22mm per core on runs up to 50m or 0.6mm
per core up to 300m. Longer runs should use 12 core.

WIRING - Intercom panel & intercom handset
CALL PANEL w8
This short cable runs through the pier.
It may also run through the drive duct
if the call panel’s on the opposite side
to the control panel. Handset cable
w7 normally returns to the control box
but it could run direct to the house.

W8
There is an ‘exit button’ input for each
relay that has the effect of tapping in
the pass code.
The wiring and programming on this
sheet uses either code to open the
gate. The intercom handset’s button
activates relay 1 for ‘on period 1’.
2 ~ ~ 1 ~ ~ X P2 P1 C
APPLICATIONS
Art.836-1 Pass code 1 is intended to open the
gate for the normal time. On period 1
would be set to ‘01’ (1 second).
If passcode 2 is programmed with the
on period set to 00, the gate will open
and stay open. It is cleared by re-
entering passcode 2 then press clear.
Setting ‘on period 2’ to 60 secs will
allow the gate to close after 60 secs.
Handset Extra long open periods are given to
cable postmen on foot, dust carts etc.
W7 VIDEX
Relay 2 could be re-wired to operate
a pedestrian gate, garage door, drive
lighting etc. Call tech support for help.

KEYPAD PROGRAMMING
A mastercode must be tapped in to set the codelock into prog-
ramming mode. The factory default mastercode is 111111. The
red LED lights when the codelock is in programme mode. You
can leave a code or on period the same as before by pressing
enter. To exit programming mode, press enter successively.
