SFG

Gas-insulated indoor switch disconnector

SFG
Gas-insulated indoor switch disconnector for secondary distribution.
Range from 12 kV to 24 kV and from 630 A to 800 A.
The SFG is a gas-insulated switch disconnector for medium
voltage switchgear within secondary distribution networks.
There are several advantages that make the SFG concept
suitable for many different applications. For instance the
compact size and the lightweight construction of the switch
disconnector are significant features for smart integration.

There are two types of operating mechanisms:

the single spring device and the double spring device.
Motor operation can be added to both types
of operating mechanisms.

Safety: user value

Safety of the SFG means safety for the operating personnel.
Wekeep the safety aspect of our apparatus continuously in
focus; weconcentrate on every step in the manufacturing process
toensure quality right down tothe last detail. One way of proving
our dedication tosafety is compliance with IEC standards.

Interlocking
device

Reliability: performance value

ABBs long experience in switching and isolating technology is an
advantage when it comes toensuring the highest reliability of the
SFG. The highest technical values and the low number of moving
parts guarantee reliable operation throughout the entire life span
of the product. The epoxy resin enclosure prevents the influence
of external disturbances and stresses.

Highlights of safety aspects:

Integrated voltage indicator
Interlocking device
Gas gauge, pressure indicator
Inspection windows
Non-corrosive leak-proof enclosure
Pressure relief channel

Highlights of reliability aspects:

Each unit is stringently tested
Used worldwide in the Uniswitch
Extremely durable and reliable operating mechanism
Local ABB support globally

Economy: financial value

In all our solutions and applications wepay attention tothe
economical aspects and cost optimisation during the total life
cycle of the product. The SFG is virtually maintenance
free and the life span is guaranteed toaminimum of 30 years.

Smart integration: process value

Webelieve that our customers rate smart integration as one
of the most important features. The SFG concept is based on
amodular construction, which offers many flexible opportunities
for you todecide on the best solution. Tomeet your requirements
and tofulfil your needs, the SFG concept includes afull range of
operating mechanism and accessories.

Highlights of economy aspects:

Long lifecycle
High mechanical endurance
Low maintenance costs
Low environmental impact

Highlights of smart integration:

Compact size
One switch many applications
Easy installation
