Frutti Regional Operations Manager Role & Responsibilities




The position will report directly to the Vice President. The Regional Operations Manager
will provide expertise in overall field operations and will be responsible for ensuring
Franchise Partners obtain business excellence. The position will provide Franchise
Partners with the direction needed for increased growth, targeted local marketing and
better profitability through continued business planning and evaluation. Travel will be
required periodically to areas outside of Montreal. Must be fluently bilingual in French and
English. This position is offer from the MTY Head Office in Montral, Qubec.


Obtaining Business Excellence:
Accountable for driving sales in each store of specified district;
Assist Franchise Partners with sales planning, operational execution and Restaurant
Marketing activities;
Assist Franchise Partners in analyzing their business opportunities and areas for
improvement through short and long term business planning and regular financial
business reviews;
Review store level P&L statements, on a quarterly basis and implement strategies to
maximize profitability
Accountable for Franchise Partners contribution margin;
Change agent to initiate solutions (tools, processes and systems) to improve financial
performance


Conduct Operational Evaluations on all Franchise restaurants:
Understand, interpret, uphold and enforce standards, policies and procedures as
outlined in Tutti Frutti Operation Manual and QSC program;
Evaluate all systems in restaurants to ensure proper compliance against Tutti Frutti
Standards, procedures and programs;
Evaluate (QSC formal process) all Franchise restaurants at a minimum of 1 time per
month as mandated by Operations Manual;
Conduct revisits on under-performing restaurants within specified time frame.



Provide Franchisees with exceptional coaching, training, education and development tools:
Ensure Franchise Partners have completed and implemented all current store level
training programs;
Responsible for the communication, training, and follow up of all new product and
process roll outs;

Assess training needs of assigned district and identify problem(s) where training needs
are evident;
Provide hands-on training during evaluations and visits;
Provide positive, constructive and actionable feedback;
Identify operational gaps and make recommendations on areas for improvement;
Assess and share best business practices
Identify trends in region as a whole and propose and implement solutions BIG picture
thinking versus own store or districts requirements.
Train and open new locations.


Enforcement of the Franchise Contract:
Responsible for understanding, interpreting, upholding and enforcing standards,
policies and procedures as outlined in the Franchise Agreement.
Proficient in explaining and assisting in an arbitration process with Franchise Partner.
Act as mentor to less experienced District Managers on both oral and written
communication with Franchise Partners.

Facilitate effective marketing and brand development efforts:
Serve as primary operational support in all in-store marketing communication and
execution.
Understand and drive Franchise Partner understanding of marketing plans and
initiatives.
Partner with the Marketing Department to lead Franchise Partners to the right
conclusions in an effort to drive sales and profits;

Serve as liaison between Tutti Frutti Support Office and Franchise Partners:
Deliver company objectives and regional goals and ensure they are communicated.
Clearly communicate Company direction and mission to Franchise Partners;
Ensure Franchise Partners support and develop customer-focused culture.
Participate and provide an operations perspective in menu development and
execution.
Assist new store development and renovation process by liaising with general
contractors and Franchise Partners as required including attendance at local meetings
Responsible for final walk thru upon completion of store construction to complete
report and follow through on deficiencies;
