How to crack ETOM Certification

1. Read through the tmforum presentation given to you during the training or
have the copy for people who had already attended the training.
2. read these documents :
a) GB921 concepts and Principles
b) GB921 F Annendum to Flows
c) GB921G Guide to Applying eTOM ( 8.0)
d) GB921 P Primer
3. Be very through with the eTOM level 2 processes. I strongly recommend you
to practice the diagram of Level 2.
4. Ofcourse you should know eTOm level 1 Processes Diagram as well. So in
short be thorough with Level 0, Level 1 and Level 2 process diagrams.
5. Once you read all the above topics you will be in a comfortable position to
take the eTOM Level 2 Certification Exam. Below is the entire lsit of exams
available for ETOM :
Business Process Framework (eTOM)
Level 1:
Attendance at "Business Process Framework (eTOM) Distilled" or "Solution
Frameworks Overview" training
Level 2:
Passing the "Business Process Framework (eTOM)" certification exam
Level 3:
Attendance at "Business Process Framework (eTOM) Implementer's Workshop"
training
Level 4:
Passing the "Business Process Framework (eTOM) Implementer's Workshop"
certification exam
Once completed, certification is valid against that latest major release of the
framework. Delegates may be required to become re-certified for new major
releases. Only individuals may be certified, not companies. The certification is
dependant on the corporate membership of the individual's company with the TM
Forum being maintained.
Note : You will get ETOM level 1 Certified once you under go a training session from
a certified trainer from TMFORUM . After the training you will automatically get ETOM
level 1 certified.
About ETOM certification Exam ( Level 2) :
Prerequisite is you need to be ETOM level 1 certified. That implies you need to
attend a classroom training session organized by TM FORUM.
- The question paper consists of 50 questions . These will be objective type
questions. No negative marking. 5 options to choose from.
- Pass percentage is 65%.

TMFORUM gives only a LEVEL 2 pass certificate with out the percentage scored.
Candidates who fail the exam will be offered an additional attempt at the exam
at no further cost. If the candidate fails for a second time they will be
prohibited from taking the exam for 6 months and will need to pay a fee to resit.

From Exam point of view GB921D is not so important as it is having more

than 2000 pages to read. But we should read later for knowledge.

Basically y there are 50 questions , objective type.
There are 5 options a, b ,c , d and e.
No negative marks.
You have 60 minutes to take the exam. Exam is on Paper.
25-30 questions are straightforward questions as I wrote above. Rest 20 needs to
have some understanding on Level 2.
