Using Short Sentences:
Try to write short sentences. You have to focus on the subject or the topic of the
sentence and the perspective of the audience as well. The sentence must have the
harmony according to the subject.
Here is the example of this topic:

Bill Jones, a press operator who has been with Allied Manufacturing for 15
years, will be retiring on June 15.
We can write it like: Bill Jones will be retiring on June 15, he has been a press
operator with Allied Manufacturing for 15 years.

Economizing on Words:
Do not use excessive words to illustrate the meaning of the sentences. Basically we
tend to illustrate the name and the action (Noun and the Verb) with over expressed
exclamation.

This is a very heavy stone.

Paddling the cycle is good exercise.

Cluttering Phrases:
There are words which you can replace with shorter words. The shorter words wont
change the meaning of the sentences.

We can change that into: Although they receive help, they failed to exceed

Surplus means excessive, when we are learning about how to be economize in
sentence making, this is one of the points we need to pay attention. We also have

Roundabout Construction:
It is like using illustrational words/phrases to modify the subject, at the beginning of
the sentence. There are no rules of thumb to avoid the roundabout construction of
the sentences. The main idea is, when you are writing, use the illustration later in
that para or paragraph.

We can replace it with: The income should be used to pay the debt.
Or: The income should be used to pay the debt essentially.

The investigation committee is involved in the task of reviewing the security

It could be replaced like: The investigation committee is reviewing the
security provision of the contract.

Unnecessary Repetition of the Words or Ideas:

Most of the students are aware of the repetition of the words or similar ideas in
writing. There are some examples of repetition of the words or ideas:

He stated that he believes that we are the guilty of that crime.

Remove That as it is repeating: He stated that, he believes we are the
guilty of that crime.

Determining Emphasis in Sentence Design:

You have to understand the sentence format. It is important when you are asked to
write something about a topic. Sometimes you have to introduce two subjects

simultaneously. In that case, you have to consider the emphasis of each subject and
construct the sentences on that basis.

Using Sentence Unity:

Make the sentence follow the flow. That means, when you try to express something,

Wording Sentence Logically:

Mixed construction is one of the points of Wording Sentence Logically. It explains
that, there are some constructions of the sentences where the parts of the
sentences do not fit together. It does not make any sensible constructed format
although it gives the idea of the sentences. For example:

First we found less expensive materials, and then a more economical means
of production was developed.
First we found less expensive materials and then we developed a more
economical means of production.
The most valued trait in an employee is a person who is loyal.
The most valued trait in an employee is loyalty.
