Brasil, oficialmente la Repblica Federativa del Brasil es el pas ms grande en

tanto Amrica del Sur y la regin de Amrica Latina. Es el quinto pas ms grande del
mundo, tanto por rea geogrfica y por la poblacin . Es el ms grande de Portugal hablando pas en el mundo, y el nico en las Amricas.
Limitado por el Ocano Atlntico en el este, el Brasil tiene una costa de 7.491 kilometros
(4.655 millas). Limita al norte conVenezuela , Guyana , Surinam y la francesa regin de
ultramar de la Guayana Francesa ; en el noroeste por Colombia ; en el oeste
por Bolivia y Per ; al suroeste con Argentina y Paraguay y en el sur por Uruguay . Los
archipilagos numerosos son parte del territorio brasileo, tal como Fernando de
Noronha , atoln de Rocas , San Pedro y San Pablo Rocas , y Trindade y Martim
Vaz .[11] Limita con todos los dems pases de Amrica del Sur, excepto Ecuador y Chile y
ocupa el 47 por ciento del continente de Amrica del Sur.
La danza mas reresentativa de brasil es la samba, la cual se conoce en todo el mundo
como un smbolo del carnaval de Brasil.

La msica popular desde finales del siglo XVIII comenz a mostrar signos de la formacin
de un sonido caracterstico de Brasil, con samba considerada la ms tpica y en la lista de
patrimonio cultural de la UNESCO. [ 349 ] Maracatu y Afox dos afrobrasileas tradiciones
musicales que han sido popularizados por su aparicin en los anuales carnavales
brasileos . [ 350 ] El deporte de la capoeira se juega generalmente con su propia msica
