Hymn of Praise

Unison Scripture

i GiVe MySeLF AWAy

Verse 1

Here I am, here I stand;

Lord, my life is in Your hands;
Lord, Im longing to see.
Your desires revealed in me.
I give myself away.

Verse 2

Take my heart, take my life

As a living sacrifice;
All my dreams, all my plans
Lord, I place them in Your hands
I give myself away, I give myself away,
So You can use me; I give myself away,
I give myself away, so You can use me.
My life is not my own, To You I belong,
I give myself, I give myself to You.

Dear friends, let us love one

another, for love comes from God.
Everyone who loves has been born of
God and knows God. 8Whoever does
not love does not know God, because
God is love. 9This is how God showed
his love among us: He sent his one
and only Son into the world that
we might live through him. 10This is
love: not that we loved God, but that
he loved us and sent his Son as an
atoning sacrifice for our sins. 11Dear
friends, since God so loved us, we
also ought to love one another. 12 No
one has ever seen God; but if we love
one another, God lives in us and his
love is made complete in us.

Veteran's Day Litany

Minister: For the men and women who serve in the Air Force, Army, Navy, Marine Corps, and
Coast Guard,
People: We ask Your blessing.
Minister: For the family members who have made great sacrifices in order to make it possible for
their service members to be on watch at home or around the world or to go into harms way,
People: We ask Your blessing.

People: We ask Your blessing.

Minister: Jesus tells us that no one has greater love than to lay down ones life for ones friends.
For all those veterans who have been willing to lay down their lives.
People: We ask Your blessing.
Minister: For the veterans of past wars who bear scars in their bodies and spirits,
People: We ask Your blessing.
Minister: For veterans who came home but couldnt fit in with their families or communities
anymore,
People: We ask Your blessing.
Minister: Keep all our veterans in Your care today. Grant them the peace they sought to preserve
for others. As we honor our veterans, we also pray for peace. Teach all Your people the ways of
peace that those who have sacrificed so much for peace and freedom will not have done so in
vain. We pray all these things in the name of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.
People: Amen.

Minister: For the families who grieve the death of a member who went in harms way, never to
return,

Pastor's Page
Beloved,
Last Sunday, God put us on new path as a village. We are seeking to Reset
our relationship with Christ, our Church, and community. It is through
prayer, Bible study, and the practice of our spirituality we develop a deeper
relationship with God. Each Sunday, during our pastoral remarks and in our
bulletin, we will lift up an aspect of Reset and our pastoral vision for the
21st Century. Join us this week, as we pray, fast, and study the Word of
God. Raise these questions in your personal devotional time: What must
I Reset in my life to gain greater spiritual depth and power? How can I
improve my relationship with Christ? What must I let go in order to gain
greater intimacy with Christ? This is a season of Reset; let us listen to God
and take the leap to start over and grow deeper.
Asking you to imagine

All workers deserve the opportunity to retire with dignity. Too many residents, however,
lack the tools necessary to save for retirement. The Illinois Secure Choice Savings

During this session, we will hear about efforts to build support for this program, how the
