Abstract
The integration of the 10 nations in ASEAN community will create both opportunities and threats
to all country members. The expression of solidarity to the world, each country must make efforts to
strengthen its own economy by preparing and supporting its Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to
compete sustainably in the international market. Labor is one of the major factors in production process,
besides money and material. Labor Roadmap for Thai Small and Medium Enterprises to ASEAN
Economic Community is a qualitative research which aims to study the need for labor of Thais SMEs

and the preparation of public sectors in labor management. The study found that beside the changes in
the demographic structure of Thai citizen to aged society, Thailands education system as it is today is
another variable that creates labor problems to SMEs entrepreneur.
