Abstract
This research titled People Centered Participation in Local Development Plan: A case study of
Krabi Provincial Administrative Organization. The samples used in this research were the 339 eligible
voters in the elector list in 8 district areas of Krabi provincial administrative organization. The

questionnaires have been used as the data collecting tools and variety of statistical analyses such as
percentage, frequency, standard deviation, the t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's Product Moment Correlation
Coefficient. The result can be summarized follows.
The research finding illustrated the majority of key informants were female 59.8 percent,
between 41-50 years of age 37.0 percent, the education level of high school 43.4 percent, and income
between 20,001-25,000 Baht 27.6 percent, as agriculturists 38.3 percent, and no position in community
86.7 percent. The level of participation on formulating people centered local development plans overall
was average at the moderately level, the personal factors overall affect the participation on formulating
people centered local development plans except the gender factor. The cognitive factors of formulating
people centered local development plans were at the moderately level. The cognitive factors of
formulating people centered local development plans affect the participation overall were related at the
same direction at a high level of statistical significance at the 0.01 level.
