MOON MEANINGS

NEW MOON

(From the day of the New Moon to 3 1/2 days after.)

CONJURING:

Beauty, health, and self-improvement; farms and gardens; job hunting; love and romance; networking

TIMING:

The magic should be performed between dawn and sunset for the best use of this magic.

As the sun and moon are on the same side of the earth the pull on us is the strongest. Because the sun, moon and earth are all
in a straight line this creates a time when the high tide is higher and the low tide is lower than usual. This is a time of rest and
rejuvenation. Inner readiness is occurring for the new cycle. Allow yourself some quiet time so that you can meet the next cycle
with renewed hope.

WAXING CRESCENT

(3 1/2 days after the new moon through the 7th day)

CONJURING:

Animals, business, change, emotions, matriarchal strength.

TIMING:

The moon rises at mid-morning and sets after sunset.

The moon's light is quickening as the moon has dropped back until she is about 1/8th of the way behind the sun. We see her
lumination as a crescent shape. The first glimpses of our visions are seen. It is time to contemplate what is past and consider
future possibilities. Momentum to reach our goals begins to build.

FIRST QUARTER

(7 to 10 days after the new moon)

CONJURING:

Courage, elemental magic, friends, luck, motivation.

TIMING:

Sunset is the prime time for waxing moon magic.

As the moon is at a right angle to the sun the difference between high and low tide is minimized. Because light and dark are in
balance the moon will appear to be a half moon but the area of light will continue to grow each day. You are ready to begin to
act on your dreams. Find ways to overcome obstacles. Your creative energy is flowing to help you make things work.

WAXING GIBBOUS

(10 to 13 days after the new moon)

CONJURING:

Patience.

TIMING:

It's a wonderful time for working around 10:00 to 11:00 p.m.

As the moon has fallen back around 3/8 of the way behind the sun one side of the moon is seen fully, the light on the other side
bulges out but does not yet fill all of the moon's face. Our energy is fast flowing and we are ready to put our full effort toward
our goals. Connect with others who will support you. Be open to new ideas and solutions to challenges.

FULL MOON

Artistic endeavors; beauty, health, and fitness; change and decisions; children; competition; dreams; families; health and
healing; knowledge; legal undertakings; love and romance; money; motivation; protection; psychism; self-improvement.

TIMING:

Midnight is the best hour to work.

The sun shines fully on her face and tides are at their extremes again. Some may sense the pull of the sun from one direction
and the moon from the opposite and their energy and will feel a bit scattered. Our enthusiasm is at it's peak at this time and we
often complete or recommit to our goals. Celebrate the blessings and bounty in your life, through joyous time with friends and
family.

WANING GIBBOUS

(3 to 7 days after the full moon)

CONJURING:

Addictions, decisions, divorce, emotions, stress, protection.

TIMING:

The time of souls is at 3:00 a.m.

As we move again into the quieter phases of the waning moon we begin to appreciate all we have accomplished. It is a time of
harvest of the hard work that went into the first half of the moon cycle.

LAST QUARTER

(7 to 10 days after the full moon)

CONJURING:

Addictions. divorce, health and healing (banishing disease), stress, protection.

TIMING:

The moon rises at midnight and sets at noon.

Because of the return to a right angle between the sun and moon the variation between tides is at its low again. There is once
again a balance between light and dark but the dark will soon overcome the light. Now is a time to evaluate what has worked for
you and what has not. This is an inward time, good for making decisions about changes needed. Let go of those things that are
holding you back.

WANING CRESCENT

(11 to 14 days after the full moon)

CONJURING:

Addictions, change, divorce, enemies, justice, obstacles, quarrels, removal, separation, stopping stalkers and theft.

understanding is closer now.
