Terms and Conditions of Apply Online and Get RM30 Cash Back Promotion

(Promotion)
1. United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd (Company No. 271809-K) (UOBM) is running an
Apply Online and Get RM30 Cash Bank Promotion (Promotion) from 15 August to 14
September 2014 (both dates inclusive) or such date(s) as may be determined by UOBM
at its sole discretion from time to time (Promotion Period).
Promotion Eligibility
2. This Promotion is open to new applicants (New Applicants) who submits an application
for a principal UOB Credit Card online via www.uob.com.my and the said application
must be approved by UOBM within the Promotion Period.
3. New Applicants means those who do not have any UOB Credit Card, whether as principal
or supplementary cardholder within the past 6 (six) months before the applicants credit
card under this Promotion is issued.
4. The following persons shall not be eligible to participate in the Promotion:
a. employees of UOBM;
b. credit cardmembers (Cardmembers) whose account(s) are terminated, suspended
or cancelled within the Promotion Period;
c. Persons whose accounts held with UOBM that are not active, delinquent or
unsatisfactorily conducted for any reason as determined by UOBM at its sole and
absolute discretion;
d. Persons who are or become insane, deceased, adjudicated bankrupt or have legal
proceedings of any nature instituted against them.
5. All applications are subject to UOBMs final decision at its absolute discretion. UOBM
shall be entitled to reject any such application(s) at any time and from time to time
without assigning any reason(s) and without owing any liability to the Applicants.
Promotion Mechanics
6. To qualify, the New Applicants are required to activate their credit card within thirty (30)
days from the Credit Card(s) approval date (Activation Period) during the Promotion
Period (Qualified Cardmembers)
7. The first one hundred (100) Qualified Cardmembers will be awarded with a RM30 Cash
Back (Cash Back).
8. Credit Card New Applicants are required to perform one of the following to activate their
UOB Credit Card:
a. SMS: Key in <UOBACT><space><NRIC/Passport No.><space><Last 4 digit Credit Card
No.> and send it to 33310, or;
b. Call: 03 2612 8123.
9. Qualified Cardmembers are only entitled to one Cash Back per person regardless of the
number of Credit Cards approved.

10. The Cash Back will be credited into the New Applicants Credit Card Account within six
(6) to eight (8) weeks from the expiry of the Activation Period.
11. The Cash Back is non-transferable to any other party or parties other than the Qualified
Cardmembers and is not exchangeable for cash or other goods.
12. At the time the Cash Back is credited to the Qualified Cardmembers Credit Card
Account, the said Account must be current, valid, subsisting and in good credit standing
as may be determined by UOBM at its sole and absolute discretion and not in breach of
these terms and conditions and/or any of the terms and conditions contained in the UOB
Visa/MasterCard Cardmember Agreement.
13. Any props, accessories or equipment featured together with the Cash Back in all printed
materials, website or UOBM branches are for decorative purposes only and shall not
form part of the Cash Back.
14. UOBM reserves the right: a. To forfeit the Cash Back in the event where there is a cancellation or termination of
the Qualified Cardmembers Credit Card(s) during the Promotion Period or noncompliance or breach of these terms and conditions or the UOB Visa/MasterCard
Cardmember Agreement with prior notice without assigning any reason;
b. To substitute the Cash Back with any other item of similar or lower value at any time
at its own discretion with prior notice;
c. To withdraw, suspend, extend or terminate earlier the Promotion prior to the expiry
of the Promotion Period, in whole or in part, at anytime with prior notice at its
absolute discretion.
15. This Promotion is valid with other UOBM promotions, campaigns and/or offers relating
to UOBM Credit Card application.
General Terms and Conditions
16. By participating in this Promotion, the New Applicants and/or Qualified Cardmembers
agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and the terms and conditions of the
UOB Visa/MasterCard Cardmember Agreement.
17. UOBMs decision on all matters relating to this Promotion shall be final, conclusive and
binding. UOBM shall not be obliged to give any reasons or enter into any
correspondence with any person(s) on any matter concerning the Promotion.
18. UOBM shall not be responsible nor shall accept any liabilities of any nature and however
arising or suffered by the New Applicants, Qualified Cardmembers and/or third parties
resulting directly or indirectly from the Promotion.
19. UOBM shall not be liable for any misrepresentation or misrepresentation of facts by any
unauthorized third party in respect of the Promotion and published in any media,
marketing or advertising materials.
20. In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any
advertising, promotional, publicity and other materials relating to or in connection with
the Promotion, these terms and conditions shall prevail.

21. UOBM reserves the right to add, delete, suspend or vary the Promotions terms and
conditions, from time to time, wholly or in part, at its absolute discretion, by providing
twenty (21) days prior notice to the New Applicants and/or Qualified Cardmembers via
posting on UOBMs website, displaying a notice at any of UOBMs branches and/or a
statement insert in the Statement of Account.
22. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the
laws of Malaysia and the Applicants and/or Qualified Cardmembers agree to submit to
the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
