Selection of a Consultancy Firm to prepare a National Healthcare Waste Management Plan

The Ministry of Health and Quality of Life invites Expressions of Interest for shortlisting eligible and
qualified Consultancy firms for formulating a National Healthcare Waste Management Strategy. Applications
for the shortlisting of the Consultancy Firms are being conducted at national and international level
according to the rules and regulations of Mauritius.
2.
Objectives
The Ministry of Health and Quality of Life aims at investigating the present and future output of healthcare
waste at national level and recommending an environmentally friendly, economically and socially acceptable
solution for the treatment and disposal of healthcare waste. For further details of the

3. Interested consultancy firms that wish to be considered for the short listing exercise are requested to
express their interests in sealed envelope clearly marked: Expression of Interest for Selection of a
Consultancy Firm to prepare a National Healthcare Waste Management Plan - Reference No.
MHPQ/WKS & S/2014/Q47 and addressed to the Senior Chief Executive, Ministry of Health & Quality of
Life must be deposited in the Tender Box at the address given in paragraph 6 on Wednesday 26
November 2014 up to 13.30 hours (local time) at latest. For international applicants, applications should reach

the Ministry at the address mentioned at Para 6 by Registered Post or other Registered Courier Services on or before
the closing date and time.
If the size of the offer envelope makes it impossible to place it in the box, such envelope shall be handed
over to the officer-in-charge of the Secretariat Tendering Unit, Ministry of Health & Quality of Life, 5th floor
Emmanuel Anquetil building, Port Louis, who shall record the date and time of receipt.

Electronic submission shall not be permitted. Late submissions will be rejected. Applications will be
opened in the presence of the applicants/applicants representatives who choose to attend at the address
given in paragraph 6 at 13.45 hrs on the same day.
