1. Conduct a school level search first. Consult your teachers to come up for the right procedure
in the school level.
2. Each School must nominate two candidates for best performing teacher.
3. Each nominee must possess at least 5 years experience in the field. MOVs are necessary
and will be placed in a folder. Submission of the folders to the Division Search Committee is
on February 10, 2013
4. The Division Search Committee will conduct a Division Search for Best Performing
Elementary School Teacher. MOVs will be rechecked.
5. First in the selection will be awarded on March 15, 2013.

Guidelines and Mechanics of the Search for BEST K-Teacher


Mechanics:
Open to all K-Teachers who served in DepEd for at least 3 yrs. experience in handling public Kclasses.
-

The K-Teacher has more than 3 yrs. K-Teaching experience on the nomination date.
Has a clear vision and plays a key role in relation to other K-Teachers. On handling K-classes with
the minimum qualification prescribed by DepEd, demonstrates Outstanding/very satisfactory
performance in the design and delivery of K-Curr. as shown in the 1st and 2nd ECCD results SY
2012-2013.
Makes a substantial contribution to improvement of teaching methods, instructional materials,
and curriculum, in particular to and development and implementation of activating instructional
formats and improvement of assessment and feedback.
Able to present and essence of his/her NKCG Curricular program in captivating and effective
manner.
The teacher is an expert in the area of K-Curriculum development and teaching.
Implements the National Kindergarten Curriculum Guide in developing the competencies
expected of every 5 year old, with the observance of BOW.

Guidelines:
1. Public elementary School Principals are expected to provide the complete, updated, biodata
of their K-Teachers on or before January 30, 2013.
2. Conduct ORVT to all K-enrolees using the prepared ORVT Tool and rating sheet duly signed
by the concerned SH from January 28, 2013 to February 11, 2014.
3. Submit ORVT result to PSDS for District consolidation on or before February 12, 2013.
4. PSDS of Districts I and II will submit the ORVT consolidated result to the Evaluation Team on
or before February 15, 2013 through Dr. Beatriz C. Luga at the City Division Office of
Tagbilaran City.
