*he was one of the first to embrace Islam

*one of the lordly learned ones, one of the famously courageous ones, one of those mentioned for being
abstinent, one of the recognised deliverers of the khutbah, one who memorized the entire Quran and
recited it before the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace,

*He was first khalifah from Bani Hashim

*the father of the two grandsons (of the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace)

*He was present with the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him
and his family and grant them peace, at Badr, Uhud and all the rest
of the battles except for Tabuk, because the Prophet, may Allah bless

him and grant him peace, made him his deputy in Madinah.

*Said ibn al-Musayyab said: On the day of Uhud, Ali received
sixteen wounds.

* It is well established in the two Sahih collections, That he, may
Allah bless him and grant him peace, gave him the standard on the
day of Khaybar and told that victory would be at his hands. The
accounts of his bravery and stories of him in the wars are famous.

*He related five hundred and eighty-six hadith from the Prophet,
may Allah bless him and his family and grant them peace..
.
*Sad ibn Abi Waqqas said that: The
Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and his family and grant
them peace, deputised Ali ibn Abi Talib (as his khalifah in Madinah
in the Battle of Tabuk. He said, Messenger of Allah, will you leave
me behind with the women and children? He said, Are you not
pleased to be in the same relation to me as Harun was to Musa,
except that there is no prophet after me?

*At-Tirmidhi narrated from Abu Surayhah or Zaid ibn Arqam
that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said,
He for whom I am his master (mawla), then Ali is his master.

* At-Tirmidhi, an-Nasai and Ibn Majah narrated,For him Holy Prophet PBUH said Ali is from me & I am
from Ali
.
*For him Holy Prophet PBUH said,your flesh is my flesh your blood is my blood

*For him,Holy Prophet PBUH said: O Allah, befriend whoever
befriends him and be an enemy to whoever is his enemy(MusnadAhmad)
.
* At-Tirmidhi narrated that Abu Said al-Khudri RZ said: We used to
recognise the hypocrites by their hatred of Ali RZ.

*Hzrt Abu Hurayrah RZ said: Hzrt Umar ibn al-Khattab RZ said,
Hzrt Ali RZ is the best of us in judicial decision.
.
*Al-Hakim narrated that HZrt Ibn Masud, may Allah be pleased with
him, said: We used to say among ourselves that the best of the
people of Madinah in judicial decision was Hzrt Ali RZ.
